While helping to host an event here recently, the bar tender was less than savory. Bar patrons told some of our party patrons to «shut up» while the bar tender told 5 minute long story about having sex with a tiger. Meanwhile those patrons of the party, 20 – 30 year old women, stood there in horror while they waited to order a drink. Needless to say it cost the club a lot of money they could have earned on drinks that night.

Great club with very nice members as well! Gorgeous views of the harbor and PV. Good bar prices and even offer free sailing program for non member kids!

I was introduced to the King Harbor Yacht club by friends who were members and thankfully invited us down every so often. We loved it so much that we joined in April this year. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, especially the club manager Bret Coad and Commodore Lisa Falk, who are both readily available to answer questions, give guidance and/or support wherever they can. The food is great and at a resaonable price, too. We’ve met a lot of great people at KHYC, and it’s not just about the grown-ups — the kids love it too. There are so many young families now and it’s wonderful to see a whole new generation of sailing/boating and overall water enthusiasts! If you’re interested in joining a yacht club, KHYC should be at the top of your list :)

It’s a great mid-level Yacht Club. I went there for a sailing club luncheon and had a great time. But be warned, you are parking inside the marina, so don’t be upset of you come outside and your car is blasted with pelican droppings!
