They made a good pad woon sen, which is my latest fad, so for me this place is excellent. I stopped in and ordered to go, and it only took a few minutes to make it and take it. Very generous portion, good taste, lots of vegetables and they offered it with chicken or pork. I am guessing you could get it with tofu also. It’s a comfort food. My husband eats there about once a week and has the yum woon sen and the panang dishes and likes them just fine. It’s convenient if you are on the way to Seattle via 520… so stop in. My only concern is the styrofoam containers, but that’s a Seattle thing.

Suree Thai is a nice family run Thai Restaurant. It’s not my favorite Thai Restaurant in town when it comes to noodle dishes but they do carry a longer list of soups which are pretty good. Everytime I get a cold I always get my soups from Suree.

The food is fine, but not special. The three curries we had were all average to just better than average. The eggplant stir-fry was ok. The iced coffees were terrible, made with what tasted like half&half and Equal instead of with sweetened condensed milk. The spiciness scale is the same as most everywhere else in the region, with a 5 of 5 being about a 3 of 5 on my personal scale. Also, the parking lot is tiny, so you may have a hard time finding a spot depending on the time you go. There is no other parking ~anywhere nearby.

My butt hurts. Suree’s chairs have this ‘interesting’ pattern for the seat, where it’s like railings for the seat. While it helps air out your bum, people with bony behinds probably won’t like them. After a little while, I got used to it though. Posterior matter aside, I definitely liked this place for the food. We checked this place out based on the Unilocal reviews, and got here just an hour or so before closing. As we were the only ones there, it was obviously fast service. The server/hostess was college age I think, and had been surfing the web on her laptop in the corner. While she could have been a tad more enthusiastic, she was nice enough. We started off with(I think) skewers, and I grabbed my standard issue Chicken Pad Thai, while the gf had… uh oh. Can’t remember, will ask her later. My pad thai was definitely some of the best I’ve had though, which is why I remembered to write this review. The peanut sauce for the skewers was great, and even better when mixed in with the pad thai. I got it fairly spicy, and there were plenty of veggies and meat along with the noodles. The flavor was great, and the portion was big enough that I was very contentedly full here. A bit out of the way perhaps, for me, but definitely worth coming back for.

This place just sucked. The food was worst Thai food I EVER had. Phad Thai was old and sitting there for a long time. Most of the noodles were hard and not cooked. I alone finished Green curry with Tofu and that lady would not add more curry instead she gave me some steamed tofu to put in my left over curry. Fried rice was hard and cold. My tolerance level for spice is kind of low, but Spicy Papaya salad was good. Even my friend liked it very much. Finally me and my friends ended filling our stomachs with watermelon pieces. If you are craving for Thai food, please go somewhere else like Thai Ginger and money spent there is well worth it.

I was in Redmond for a week on a business trip. One evening while craving some Thai food I found this place. It is a small restaurant and nobody was there when I went. The menu consisted of the typical dishes you see on just about every Thai menu. I decided to go with the Mussaman curry and steamed rice, that is my usual dish for ranking new places. The food came out quickly which in this case was not a good thing. The potatoes in the curry raw and inedible. They were cut too large so they did not have time to cook. Either longer cooking or a smaller cut on the potatoes would have fixed the problem. The beef in the curry was average but there wasn’t very much of it, maybe 1oz total. The curry itself had a good flavor but was a little too watery and was lacking in spice. I’d probably come back next time I’m in the area and give them another chance. They are definitely not anywhere near the best Thai place I’ve eaten at though.

Honestly, I was drawn to this place by its logo. I’ve driven by this restaurant many times, and each time the logo has caught my eye. So, today, while looking for a place for an early dinner — I looked up the Unilocal reviews on my phone — and decided it was worth a shot. This is a restaurant that is best experienced through take-out. The food comes out very quickly(good for takeout), and the atmosphere inside is nothing to write home about(see other reviews). I ordered E.11(Assorted Vegetables stir-fried with chicken) with brown rice. The tab was $ 11.50. I ordered a 1-star spice level, and that was just right for me(2-star would not have worked for me) — so beware that spice-levels here are higher than typical. The food was delicious. An assortment of veggies, crispy and crunchy and the meat was soft and flavorful too. The brown rice is different from any other place I’ve seen — it was a darker grain(I liked it). While I ate, there must have been at least 3 people who came in for takeout. The owner seemed a friendly type — she struck up conversations with her regulars. In short: — Affordable — Great food — Availability of brown rice — Homely, cozy feel in the restaurant — Great logo :-) I’ll be back.

Rock and roll, everybody. I found me some Thai food! This teeny tiny little place(seats twenty — two zero — twenty) is hidden in a strip mall down at the bottom of Old Redmond Way. The woman who cooks is from the highlands of Thailand, so her curries are rich and thick and full of flavor. Yes, they have a *sigh* lunch buffet. But if you REALLY want bang for your buck, I recommend that you skip the easy food and go to the menu and order some curry or some noodles. This is authentic Thai. Also, if you want spicy, say so. Before my visit, I suspect that they thought that white people could not handle the spice. I ordered mine«Thai spicy» and it came out with just the right amount of burn — enough to make my nose run, but not enough to make my face turn red, you know how that works? Awesome. I’m going to grab a bunch of people and head them down to this place and take it over. It’s good to be able to find a reasonable, small Thai place where you can basically turn it into your own private Thai kitchen. They even gave me a fortune cookie after the meal — like in a Chinese restaurant. Funny stuff. The owner told me she has been at this location for four and a half years, and she’s worried about business being slow, so grab some friends and take this place over — you’ll walk away happy.

Everything I have had here was delicious. I recommend the Pa-nang and the cashew chicken. The other great thing is they do deliver and have reasonable prices. The only draw back is their estimation of time, if they say ten minutes you should double that or you will end up sitting in the restaurant sipping complimentary tea.

Thai buffet. A very rare thing in Seattle surprisingly. Indian and Chinese buffets are fairly prevalent in the area, but not Thai. Perhaps it is because of the popularity of Thai food in the area that restaurateurs do not bother with it. Yet, I found one here at Suree in one of the oddest locations. In a strip mall near the on ramp to 520 on W Lake Sammamish Parkway. Suree has a weekday lunch buffet for $ 6.99 from 11 to 2. Amazing since neighboring Thai restaurants cost about $.50 to $ 1 more at least for an entrée. Here you can sample a surprising number of Thai specialties. The buffet spread I saw here consisted of two salads, pad thai, pad see ew(rice noodles), fried and steamed rice along with two curries(red and yellow), egg rolls, crab wontons and tom yum soup. A fairly good intro to Thai food definitely. Usually buffets are very hit or miss. The buffet here was very good. I liked the spicy beef salad which was very refreshing. Both noodles, pad thai and pad see ew were nice. Pad thai though seemed like a plainer preparation of this dish, but I liked it all the same. The tom yum soup with chicken had a sweet and sour taste to it was fair, but could have been better if it was warmer. But it was the yellow curry which was the clear winner of the lot. It was fragrant with moist chicken and large chunks of potatoes. I went back for seconds. It was so good and made the way I like it. The restaurant is on the small side, but it did not seem cramped. Décor has hints of Thai culture including what appeared to be a photo of the Thai monarch I think. Service here was friendly and atmosphere is chill. Parking is the only beef I have. As I mentioned before, it is just right before the freeway on ramp. Still, the buffet selection and price here can not be beat. Definite recommend for a Thai lunch in Redmond.

I had an excellent tofu green curry and chicken kee mao(sp?) aka drunken noodles there. Their brown rice has a little more of the grain part of it, and not your usual brown version of white rice — it’s delicous and flavorful. I’ve been eating Seattle area local Thai since I was very young, and they were a little different than some of the other Thai places I’ve been, but in a good way. The ingredients(meat, tofu, veggies, bamboo, etc.) were very fresh tasting and in good portion sizes. It is kind of a small hole in the wall place so it’s probably not a place where you’d take a date out for a fancy dinner, but somewhere you could take a person who has an appreciation for good food and doesn’t need a fancy show to come with it. I’m a white girl from WA state, so I can’t say much about it’s authenticity, but it tastes great, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent and you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a decent Thai meal!

The lunch specials here were a GREAT deal– about $ 9 for an entrée, served with rice(steamed or brown), phad thai, and soup. I loved the hot and sour soup– really tasty. The phad thai was good, and the ginger chicken I had was very yummy. Overall I was very happy with my meal, and most of my dining companions were happy too. Except one, but he doesn’t like Thai food so his opinion doesn’t count. ;D The place is tiny and SO cute– I love the teal and red walls. Service was friendly, and our food came out pretty fast– a good experience here, I’ll be back for lunch some time!

The husband and I went here Friday night for dinner about an hour before closing. We’ve been looking for a good thai place that is close to our house and after reading other reviews on Unilocal decided to give this place a try as it’s literally five minutes away. Other reviewers definitely have it on the atmosphere — though our service was GREAT. I changed our dish a bit and it came fast, hot and as ordered — for once my dish was actually perfectly spicy! I’m not sure that we’ll dine in again(maybe to try the lunch specials), but I’m so happy we tried this place and now have a great, delicious, and convenient Thai place for take out!

The food here is really an unexpected treat. I’ve been having dinner here once every week or three since I found this place a few months ago. The curries, particularly the masaman and panang, are out of this world. I feel secure in saying that they are tastier then any other Thai place in the immediate area. I also love the soups here. The main ding on this place is the atmosphere. It blows. At least it would blow if there was any. The place is pretty dingy inside and most times I’ve eaten there they’ve had news radio(wtf?!) on the PA. Not exactly condusive to a nice conversation with your date. One time the waitress(who is either on too much Xanex or not enough Zoloft… don’t look at me, I’m not a doctor) was playing movies, with no small measure of loudness, on her laptop at a corner table. It can be a little annoying to eat here, especially if you’re with people. As a result, I usually do take out here, which is fine because the place is close to my house and having good Thai takeout in the area ain’t all wrong. Oh, they also have delivery now with a $ 30(or $ 35?) purchase. Or so they advertise; I’ve never tried it. If this was a more reasonably $ 15 minimum purchase, I’d probably get fat, dumb and happy off of this place. I’ve only had dinner here; never tried the lunch specials.

I’ve eaten at Suree about five times since I live within walking distance. The food is flavorful, with enough spice(at «mild» request) to get just the right amount of runny-nosed-ness from the spice while still tasting all of the other elements of the ingredients. I usually go for the yellow veggie curry, to go, with no rice as I usually have plenty at home. Sauce is saucy and the veggies are tender and crisp, and taste fresh. The staff is friendly and graciously fills my pyrex takeout dish with curry – they use foam for takeout, so thinking ahead helps on this one. Veggie curry costs me just shy of $ 10.00 with tip, and again, with no rice which costs an extra buck and a half. It also feeds me for two generous meals. Not much more I can ask for!

Jon recommended it and Sean wanted to try it, so Unilocal Lunch, here we… came? The joint was small and intimate, the waiter super-friendly and efficient — waters stayed filled, and the dude offered to give us separate checks without even being prompted. Score! Rice in little stars? The girlies oohed and aahed. Five-star heat that was actually hot? This can’t be the Pacific Northwest! Oh, and lunch was *cheap*. And tasty. The only downside: this place shares a parking lot with the Celtic Bayou, so parking can be a real struggle.

YUMYUMYUM. This place is highly recommended from Jon, so we had an Eastside Unilocaler lunch there. FTW! Here are some notes: this place is small. Probably ten to twelve tables total? Our server was wonderful and asked us if we wanted separate checks. Seriously! RAD! The lunch combo is seriously a good deal, under eight bucks. My Prik King(sp?) was perfect and three stars I requested was three stars. A little spice, but not too much. Our rice was shaped like a star. So cute! I seriously was very happy with this place and actually may go tomorrow after I hit the gym.

Kudos to Jon L for the recommendation and Jim for posting up for this! I second Carly’s YUMYUMYUM. Very small place, with crazy bitch parking. Sooooo worth it. Seperate checks were NO problem, in fact they were offered by the server. The«egg drop vegetable» soup was very good. I had L7… ginger somethingorother with the chicken at 3 stars. Was very good, just the right amount of spice, and star shaped rice! =D When it came time to pay, all was smooth and my to go order for Don L was ready very quickly. Definite a return trip lister here!

I had a yellow curry, which was pretty tasty. I had asked for 1-star spicy, but it was at the limit of my(admitedly weak) ability to handle spiciness. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she immediately offered to replace the dish.(I didn’t take her up on the offer, not wanting the food to go to waste, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.) The décor was unremarkable and the background music played covers of pop, but it was easily ignorable and didn’t really detract from the experience. Overall, there are better places, but there are definitely worse places, too. They’re conveniently located to where I work, so I will probably be returning for lunch there again soon. (Note: They take Visa and MasterCard, not American Express.)

I think this location has changed restaurants quite a bit in the last few years, but I hope this one stays! My friend plays at the open mic at Celtic Bayou every once in awhile, so one day he decided to check out this place beforehand, and he raved about their pad thai, insisting that I had to try it. He’s been there a few times, and apparently the owner knows him now, so people there are really friendly. I finally made it here for lunch, and the lunch combo is a good deal, with an entrée, pad thai, rice, and soup for $ 7.95. I had the green curry, which was excellent… tasty sauce, lots of vegetables. Pad thai was flavorful without being overly saucy. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired; it’s located in an unappealing strip mall and definitely feels that way. Parking for dinner can also be difficult, since the lot there fills up at night. They also seem to have bubble tea, but I didn’t try it.
