One of the best and cleanest Starbucks in the Pacific Northwest… if not USA. They are total sweethearts. They make great converstaion and have you drink waiting for you almost instantly. Great location and great parking.

I’m a huge Starbucks fan, primarily because the product is so good and, for the most part, the product line and service and store set-up is pretty consistent. No matter where you go, you can pretty much count on the same basic offerings, same store policies and lay-out and procedures, and pricing. Predictability is a good thing. I don’t want any major deviations when I am in the mood for my non-fat vanilla lattes! This store is an anomaly in the Starbucks chain. And not in a good way. First off the bat, it’s usually crazy busy. Being the only Starbucks in the vicinity(the closest ones nearby are a mile or so south in the Target and Fred Meter stores, and then also in Redmond Town Center a bit further to the west). This, coupled with the fact that there are a ton of new developments in Redmond on NE116th and vicinity makes for a popular, busy store. When I was recently here, this past weekend, mid-morning, there was a line up of 12 people at the cash waiting to order and pay, and another 6 or 7 people waiting at the other end of the counter for their drinks. I was told by a person in line that«it’s always this busy». I ordered my latte and a bagel, lightly toasted, no cream cheese. I was not asked my name at the cash. After paying, I waited with everyone else for my order to be made. I felt bad for the folks sitting at the bistro tables, as we standing folks were definately invading thier personal space, being squeezed back towards the window walls while we waited. Crammed spaces for all. Since nobody’s names were asked for when orders were placed, the barrista simply announced the drink or order when it was ready, placing it on the counter. A few times, 2 or 3 people came to retrieve their order only to discover it was not theirs, it belonged to someone else who ordered the same or similar drinks/foods. Why don’t they take our names here and call our orders out by our names, to eliminate this confusion? All other Starbucks do this. You may have noticed that I wrote«barrista», singular, in the paragraph above. That was not a typo. For such a busy store, this place has only one barrista. Yes, she was very capable and friendly and smiley and all, but this store is so consistently busy, and the space is certainly large enough, they definately could use a second barrista here. No question about that! Later, when I had left this store, drink and bagel bag in hand, I noticed that they had included a cream cheese and knife in the bag. I specifically asked for no cream cheese when I ordered. This isn’t a big deal, except I am unsure if I was charged for the cream cheese.(I opted not to get the receipt so I couldn’t check). Argh. All in all, my experience here — approx. 20 minutes in total, to get a coffee and a bagel — was less than stellar.

Why with five people working the morning shift does the line move so slow? Waited 20 mins for an Americano and latte with choc croissant. Someone else took my latte and croissant. Not sure why they don’t ask for your name or why they only have one microwave. This appears to be a common there at this Starbucks. What’s up?

I have been here numerous times and the baristas are always slow and never rush even when there is a huge line –up

Bad staff. I called in an order to go that included 6 drinks for a bridal party. When I arrived, the woman training the new guy apparently did not realize how quickly I would be there. A regular asked if they were busy and the new guy said not too bad just had a bigger order called in. His trainer responded with I don’t care, that’s ridiculous, it’s not okay I can’t believe people. Last I checked that is your job. Starbucks should do a better job of hiring people who actually want to work here and not critique their customers while they are in the store.

This is a review not for just this Starbucks location but for the whole corporate structure. On a Sunday and 10:30 am they are out of three sandwiches on their menu, and every new special item like cold brew coffee or teas. This has solidified the fact that Starbucks as a corporation is going down the drain!

First, I’ll say that the baristas at this location are very friendly! I ordered an iced coffee with light ice. Now, I’m not sure why Starbucks baristas seem to hate it when you limit their freedom when it comes to ice, but it’s bananas! No matter what location I visit if I say light ice, it’s like the barista takes it as a challenge and gives me extra ice. Perhaps the term«light» is relative but my drink with light ice usually has more ice than when I just get the normal amount. I’m just sayin’! It’s one of the more frequent first world problems and… please just give me light ice! Please! Anyway. other than that, the drink was ok.

Staff is very welcoming. Ordered a mocha frappacino for my birthday freebee since it was going to expire today. Frappacino was a little watery, not as slushy as I would like it.

This review is for the service. Ordered breakfast through mobile prepay. Estimated to be ready 3 – 4 minutes. Ended up waiting 10 minutes. This location had got to get their act together. Bacon gouda sandwich is great. And only 350 calories!

Ordered a drip coffee, ended up being luke warm /cold. Had them remake it and have never had a barista make my drink wrong twice in a row. Had to wait for 10 minutes for new drip coffee, and even after fresh coffee the barista still put almost 2 inches of creamer in my coffee(soy). 20 minutes later, still cold coffee. Will make sure to steer clear of this location in the future.

It’s Starbucks, the McDonalds of coffee, so it tastes the same everywhere you go. That being said its a decent cup of coffee. This location gets four stars because it seems like every time I go here it takes quite a while to wait in line, place my order, and get my coffee, much slower then your average Starbucks. On the plus side the staff is nice.

I pretty much come here 4 days a week to grab a drink before starting my shift. The people who work here are super friendly and always very welcoming. The coffee is just like any other starbucks, but tastes better provided with great customer service and atmosphere.

the service at this starbucks is by far the slowest you can experience. the staff, while nice/friendly, is super slow. Very seldom will you not have to wait in line. I stopped by there 3 times this week(convenience) and walked out all three times and went to another starbucks. 4 people in line = 10 min wait. Horrible. Pick up the speed.

By far the WORST coffee I’ve ever had at Starbucks. Been three times and each time the coffee was so burnt it actually tasted a lot like you’d imagine a camp fire tasting. Good for a cake pop though.

There are several different Starbucks on the well beaten path between my church/home/work/my kid’s school. The Avondale store is by far my favorite place to go. Every barista is fantastic and unbelievably friendly. It’s a pretty mellow place to be which is saying a lot for a high volume store. Love these guys!

The coffee is A-OK, like any other Starbuck’s. But the clientele is much more laid back and from the local community, and the staff seem friendlier than average. There is also a bookshelf of books that you can borrow or contribute on an honor system. I like to go next door to the Subway or the PCC Market to grab a snack, too.
