Redmond Locksmith

Stay away. We ended up paying more than 2x what their quote was.
I called their number 425 738 6610 on behalf of a friend of mine on Friday night 8pm. A girl answered. I asked my friend need to open the door. The address is in Bellevue 98 004 and we like to schedule it on Saturday 2:30pm (later rescheduled to 9am) since I figure it would be more expensive after hour. The girl said the rate is 29.99 for flat service fee and 29.99 estimated for the labor. She did say that the labor cost depends on how much the work would be and how complicated the lock is. I said ok, since the lock is may be the simplest ever possible. I bought the lock from Home Depot for about $ 30 and installed it by myself for my friend. I figured it would only take a few minutes for a pro to open it. Even if the labor may not be $ 29.99, I thought it will be probably somewhere $ 30 – 40, which makes the total price about $ 70.
On Saturday morning the locksmith came and opened the door. He charged $ 169! He said the customer service was wrong, and he said it’s weekend and Halloween. My friend paid the $ 169 since now it’s too late to find another locksmith as they have other arrangements in the day.
If I knew it were $ 169, I would definitely call other places instead of using them.
