I was just about to post a similar review about dr de wolf. When I had msft insurance she said I needed to come in 5 days a week and weekends. And if I cancelled or didn’t make a future appt while I was at her office, her staff would call repeatedly. Once my insurance changed, she did everything she could to take as much money as possible and get as many appts as possible. Once the insurance wouldn’t approve anymore, she really didn’t give a crap about me and was pushing me to buy her packages for session for X amount of dollars. What’s weird is my insurance had unlimited session for chiropractor appts. But I think when she went the route of submitting paperwork, it gets her more $$. When I didn’t sign up for packages and insurance refused any more appts, her staff never called or even cared about my back neck health. I also didn’t like the way dr de wolf treated her staff. She would snap at them if they were doing what she wanted or if they made a mistake. They were always on edge it seemed to me. Dr’s should care about their patients, not the insurance. She cares more about the insurance. There are plenty of chiropractors out there. Find the one that cares.

I chose Dr. Sharon Wagener DeWolf based on all the positive reviews I had read and only because my incredible chiropractor had moved out of town. I came to her with neck, shoulder and back pain. Her treatments consisted of me lying on a moving bench(wave-like motions) to «warm up my back», although they did nothing. Then she would have me lie on another bench that has parts that drop. This is how she manipulates your back and neck which is more shocking to them than having a chiro manually do the adjustments. She did do some physical manipulations. Before I get to that, when she thought I had Microsoft insurance coverage, she wanted me to come in five days a week and even on the weekends. I thought this was strange since my former chiropractor only saw me when I needed it and if she did need me to come back she would tell me for only 1 or 2 appointments and then to see how I was feeling. Every time I went to her, Dr. Karen Shepard in Bellevue, she did all hand manipulations gently but very effectively. To warm up your back, she used what looks like a sander(but soft!) and moves it over your back — felt wonderful! Back to Dr. Wagener DeWolf. Her mechanical manipulations where shocking and hurt. One time I had mentioned that my shoulder was really in pain and she slammed down on it and then pulled it and shook it. It hurt so badly that I screamed out loudly in pain and I’m sure everyone in the building could hear it. When I would leave I was always in way more pain than when I had arrived. When I questioned why I was always in worse pain, she had told me that«you have to go through pain to get better». Interesting because the first time I had met with her she acted very sympathetic and had told me how she would finally get me out of the original pain I was in and said I shouldn’t have to live with it. I finally left because she was making me worse and wanted me to come in daily. I found out that she tries to suck as much insurance money as quickly as possible from people who have good insurance benefits. That’s why she pushes to have you come in as frequently as possible. Don’t let her insincere empathy fool you. She is DANGEROUS! By the way, Dr. Karen Shepard has moved back and she is wonderful! Her practice is Simply Chiropractic in Bellevue: 425−641−2822.
