Just bought a bag(at the time of this post they only offer bean sales – I.e. You can’t buy a cup of coffee). BUT the CEO did tip me off that Midori Bakery serves their coffee so that’s where I am now. Delicious bakery. Great coffee and ambiance.

The guys at Caffe Lusso are passionate about what they do. Sure, it shows in their product quality… but to really understand just how passionate they are about their coffee, you have to talk with them. Better yet, just listen… because you’ll get a phenomenal bag of beans(the Brazil Peaberry is to die for — it’s ruined me from everything else! You can watch them work while you get a lesson in how they source the beans, know all of their farmers and their families personally, and visit the farms annually to inspect the growing process as well as the working conditions for the farm employees. Philip and Sean are also very involved with Rescue Freedom — an organization that helps victims of human trafficking regain their freedom — donating a portion of their profits to the cause and also offering a specific Rescue Freedom coffee blend. Overall, these guys produce some of the best coffee you’ll ever have and you can feel good about your purchase knowing both that their product is ethically sourced and that they support such a deserving cause.

I’ve been to Caffe Lusso a couple of times. It’s tricky to find but well worth the adventure! During my first time there two years ago, Phil made me feel welcomed and gave me in-depth answers to all my coffee questions. He then made some amazing cappuccinos with a top-of-the-line espresso machine. My second time in was today and Sean was eager to answer my question about which is better: Chemex or French press. He gave me the theoretical answer and then followed it up with a demonstration that resulted in me trying a cup from each method with the Ethiopian beans. My taste buds were delighted with the fruity brew and received quite the education from Sean. Sean had me see and smell a couple large containers filled with different beans that were freshly roasted. They were both roasted to that medium brown perfection, not like the shiny/oily black beans that you see at a large corporate roaster. After smelling that coffee aroma, I wanted to bottle it up and take one bottle for my home and another for my car but unfortunately, that technology is not here yet. I left Caffe Lusso with my senses feeling like they were on top of the world and with my brain a little fuller from Professor Sean’s coffee education. Don’t forget to try their chai. They get it from Snohomish and it will make you feel like you just escaped to India!

Website makes beans appear to be nicely roasted… But sadly, in real life they are of the dark, shiny, over roasted variety that people who love Starbucks will enjoy. What happened to quality medium roasted beans that allow one to actually taste the coffee? Oh well. If you love dark roasts, these are your people. Otherwise, go to Ladro or Rococo instead. After reading reviews, stopped by here to buy coffee. Was kindly introduced to various aromas and types of coffee present here by the gentleman who took the time to explain everything. My husband is hooked on this coffee. Can be tricky to find but call ahead if you can.

We’ve become regulars! We’ve tasted coffee all over the world and have become very particular. Caffe Lusso is the best. Phil is informed and takes his job very seriously. Patient and helpful. TX!

Bar none the best coffee I have had in the Pacific Northwest. The Caffe Lusso crew have raised coffee roasting to the art form it is meant to be. But there’s none of the pomp or snobbery to be found. Phil will take the time to talk with you. He will bag up the beans. He will pull a fine, hot, perfect espresso for you. And he will do it all while watching the next batch of beans roast to the absolute point of perfection.

This is a roastery. I did not know they are closed on Saturday but luckily Phil was there when I stopped by. I just got espresso machine and saw reviews about this place so wanted to check it out. Phil was actually very helpful and explained me everything(from differences between various coffee machines to what type of roast I should try etc). Since I was buying coffee for first time, he even offered to take it back and replace with other flavor if I don’t like(but light roast was perfect for my taste). I would definitely recommend this place to buy coffee. Finding this place was little bit of work as they are no big boards of anything but it is just next to martial arts school/academy(if you get lost like me).

Best coffee ever around Seattle! I went for some brunch with my husband to a restaurant in Bellevue and as always the first thing we ordered was coffee, we were amazed by the taste of the coffee, it was perfectly roasted! Of course we asked where did they get their coffee from and the waitress gave us the wrong name the first time. Looking to find it we went to Caffe Vita because we heard their coffee was good(for those who haven’t yet tried Caffe Lusso) Anyway I was getting desperate that I made my husband drive us back to the restaurant because I was with the complete determination of getting the name of the coffee, thanks God that the girl that was working that day didn’t hesitate in giving us the name(this time correctly) and even mentioned to us where we could find it. I did the google search I found the address we made a trip to Redmond just to buy some of their delicious coffee. This coffee has ruined me and my husband we can’t drink anything else after drinking Caffe Lusso! Five stars it’s not enough.

This is a roastery, not a «coffee shop», but they welcomed me in for a free cup when I randomly stopped by. The coffee is the best I know of around Seattle(sorry Victrola and Stumptown). Phil is fanatical about his beans, his equipment, and his process. I feel like I know a secret that is waiting to get out. I wish you guys would open a retail shop.

Phil makes the best roasts in the area period. I buy here when I can get there and Phil’s there too, but well worth the quirkiness! Hidden in an industrial park right next to my favorite local brewery(Mac –n– Jack’s) — it’s all win for me! By the way Jeff J. did not got to Café Lusso — I don’t know where he went, but it wasn’t Café Lusso since it’s not really a café, it’s a shop that roasts coffee. Nothing more, nothing less — no seats, not relaxing other(until you get home and make an espresso with his beans!) other than Phil being a laid back guy who knows his stuff.

The Seattle area’s best-kept secret and a coffee-lover’s paradise. The première coffee in town. Located behind Marymoor park, you’ll find Café Lusso in a business park next to Mac and Jack’s brewery. The flavor is unbelievable– best drip, best espressso. It’s not a sit down café, but you can get an unforgettable latte at the bar, which sports the highest quality machine out there. Lusso is where you’ll find the best beans in town. Always ahead of the curve when it comes finding the best coffees, Lusso changes green coffee providers year to year, depending on the quality of that year’s harvest. Whatever is the best, you’re bound to find here, and in season. The roasts are usually light to medium, because of the strong flavor. Sells the best decafs in town, too!
