This newly opened Mexican restaurant on the Miracle Mile had an impressively large menu for being housed in a building previously relegated to diners. I ordered the Chile Verde burrito($ 7.99) which came topped with small amount of sauce and cheese. The inside was composed of ~3% corn, 41% cubed pork, and the remainder rice. What I found odd was that the meat did not appear to be simmered in a tomatillo sauce causing it to lack that tartness I am used to in Chile Verde. Portions were quite adequate and the service was excellent with the salsa(on the average side with little spicy hottness) being replaced before I asked(though this Saturday was surprisingly dead around town). I am eager to try something else on the menu, though I found diappointing no Chile Colorado nor Horchata offered on the menu. Most of the burritos are in the $ 6.99 range with an extra $ 1.00 being added if beans and rice are requested. One area where this restaurant shines is the chips as they are not oily in the same way that Chevy’s are not, though they are of the thicker white corn variety. I will be ordering the Chile Relleno burrito next time since this is an item that is not offered at most Mexican restaurants in the area.
