One of the most serene and well kept walking trails in Northern California. We always feel safe walking here, partly due to park hours closing at dusk and partially because of the maintenance crew close by. The bathrooms are incredibly clean. There are 3 trail options, the longest one 2 ¼ miles. Tip: do watch out for goose droppings as they can be found on the walkways from time to time.

Beautiful walking trails! There are a lot of geese, so watch where you step ;) You can walk for miles or you can do a shorter loop. There is a map of the trails at the Hemingway St. entrance that will help you navigate your stroll. I wish I has brought a hat on my walk yesterday. It wasn’t extremely sunny but there are some stretches without shade.

This is my favorite place in Redding for a walk or a run. The landscape is beautiful! They offer about 4 different trails that loop around the property at different distances. There are a lot of geese around which means lots of poop– so watch your step! This is a great place to escape to for a quite moment, or a place to take a date, or to go on a walk with a friend. The trails are hilly, so it could be difficult for some. But you can customize it to where you won’t have to do hills if you don’t want to. The also have bathrooms right by the parking lot.
