My husband and I were shopping for our 20 year anniversary ring addition. We have 3 beautiful kids and we wanted to add 3 stones to my current set. The owner was very pleasant and showed us several combinations of settings for the new stones I was picking out. Once I made the decision it only took him 2 days to have it finished. He does all the work there and doesn’t need to sent it out. Prices were fair, we had shopped around to several other shops before liking this one the best
I love the new setting. Will be back to see Heart of Gold for my 30’th anniversary too. :)

I had been in the market for an engagement ring for my fiancée for some time; I was looking for something very specific, had been to most of the jewelers in town, most of whom were friendly and wanted to be helpful, but they pretty much all said it would take 6 – 8 weeks to have something made. Well I had already been waiting longer than I wanted to, and I needed someone who would both really listen to what I was needing and could get it done more quickly. I was starting to loose hope of getting one in time and within my budget, when I wandered in to Heart of Gold.
From the first visit Randy Janis, the owner, was on top of it. He ordered samples and helped me figure out the details I needed to decide. When I completely changed the design I originally presented he went with the flow and began ordering gem samples for me to check out. When I finally gave the go ahead, he was on it immediately, and involved me in every step for my approval. He got it done, not in 8 weeks, not in 6 weeks, but ONE week … and for less than I told him my budget was! He will be my first choice from here on out.

Had an emergency for a ring sizing for a wedding. This guy did it on the spot and had it ready in an hour. He is the only guy in redding who could do it. He’s got talent too, he did an immaculate job. Also, the price is right, he could’ve charged more and I would’ve been fine. Check this place out!

Went in to look for a diamond ring for my wife of 39 years. The owner showed me a’yesterday, today, and tomorrow’ ring that was perfect for reaffirming our vows. This was a great experience for me as I never shop for jewelry. But he answered all my questions and I got a good deal to boot. The capper was the credit he gave me for a lump of gold I brought in.

This guy refurbished my grandmas 60 year old wedding ring set. 10 diamonds and 40 prongs. Can’t believe the price he charged me. He beat other jewelry shops by 400 $ and did all the work himself. Other shops said they had to send it off.

Found this place on Unilocal. I always try to support the small local businesses, so I thought what the heck! He had exactly what I wanted and gave me a fair price! Much better than fighting the parking lots and crowds at the mall! Very friendly and no nonsense. I would definitely go back!

We came in this morning to get a gem looked at. Randy was so welcoming and even took extra time to educate us about diamond testing and how to look at a gem. So friendly, so welcoming!

Just saw Randy @ Heart of Gold again and he’s the best. I’ve been going to him for about 20 years for all my jewelry needs and he’s always done what I’ve wanted and recommended the best solution to any problem. My husband has purchased items and has always gotten the best quality and service. Great place!

Heart of Gold was recommended to me several months ago after my favorite ring broke. I finally found some time to get down their right before I left town. I went in late one afternoon. Randy, the owner was sick and on his way home, but he said it wasn’t a problem he would be able to finish it before I left. He did a beautiful job repairing it and for a great price. It was done within 24 hrs so I could have it before my interview in the city. Thanks to him I had my lucky ring back and I got the job!

Visited the new location of this shop yesterday to schedule an appraisal appointment. The questions Randy (the owner?) asked were weird and somewhat rude…“When did you get this? and I’m not quite sure four prongs is gonna be strong enough for this diamond…” Told me I would need to schedule an appointment for an appraisal, when I asked what was available he told me anytime… what about right now??? Since the store was empty… Ended up scheduling for the following day between 1−2pm. Unfortunately, I was called into work at 4am and completely forgot to call and cancel my appointment. Received two phone calls…1)“I’m not sure if you’re coming, it’s getting late and I don’t know your character” and 2) one saying I was rude to just blow him off and inconsiderate. «you know my time is valuable and have shown no regard for it»…I will NEVER come to your shop again and I will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Here’s a tip don’t harass or insult your customers.
