First time here. Great space and atmosphere. Love the jasmine green loose tea and its presentation. Will definitely be back.

I’ve recently become a huge fan of a late afternoon pick-me-up cappuccino on the way home from work. Great people, beautiful shop, awesome espresso bar, and tasty Equator roasts.

I wish we had a place like this back at home. Great study environment: well lit, spacious, and option between booth seating and chairs. The customer service was amazing here. As usual, I wasn’t sure what to order. The barista recommended the holy honey latte(off-menu). Apparently, the honey comes from a nearby monastery, which is why it’s called«holy». Then again, the barista could have been pulling my leg; I’m not sure since I was so dead tired after driving 3 hours up to Redding. The holy honey latte hit the spot. Sweet, cinnamony, and the caffeine was just what I needed before a 3 hour drive back home. For those who are lactose-intolerant or caffeine-tolerant, you can substitute soy or almond milk for an additional 50 cents or add an extra shot of espresso for 75 cents. Located in CalTrans station across form the Shasta Regional Medical Center. Would definitely recommend this to other fellow Unilocalers who happen to be in the area or need a bit of pick-me-up when passing by.

Not quite what I expected, but still really nice. I’m in Redding visiting family and finding new coffee shops to hang out and try. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went in wanting the early grey hot cocoa that’s featured in the pictures on Unilocal(as of August 11, 2015), but that’s a seasonal drink, so I’ll have to come back in a few months to try it. The coffee and other drinks live up to the praise. I tend to judge coffee shops based on the chocolate used in mochas. If they take pride in those little details that could just be a store bought syrup, but instead decide to up the ante and go for a homemade version or in this case their own ganache, they have won brownie points in my book. The interior wasn’t quite what I was expecting. It’s small inside, but classy. It’s near a medical facility, so somehow it still has a vibe of a really nice caffe inside a hospital. Maybe it’s the ceiling tiles and the overhead fluorescent lights. They have tried to combat that image with lots of natural lights from big windows, unique lighting over the tables and above the bar. The bar by the window has a built in power strip underneath which is perfect for those of who like to work in coffee shops for awhile. This is a great little spot in an area of town that seems to be doing a fantastic job of filling the void of a coffee shop and café.

Found this cute coffee shop recently and fell in love. Let’s start with the interior. It’s super clean inside. The décor reminds me of a shop you’d find in LA. It’s a smaller shop, so there’s limited seating. But I love the small shop feel. The people that work there are beyond nice! Always chit chat with us and make you feel really comfortable. They have special drinks that they do seasonally. My hubby and I are sort of coffee snobs, so we’re pretty picky when it comes to the actual flavor of the espresso. Their espresso has great flavor and doesn’t need to be covered up with a bunch of sugary syrups. But if you like to add a little flavor to your coffee, they use high end syrups as well as house made syrups and sauces(which are really yummy). Their baked good selection is off the charts good. They always have big beautiful organic muffins that are to die for as well as kolaches that are extremely tasty. Everything is made from scratch fresh daily. The shop is located near Shasta Regional hospital. Even if your not in the area, give this place a try. It is so worth it!

We are on vacation from San Diego and ran out of french press coffee in the camper forcing an unexpected coffee search. Found Café Pagato to be a fortuitous replacement! Service was fast, professional and warm. The barista warmed my travel mug before I self filled it. I also ordered a cappuccino which was served with the proper proportions of foam, milk and espresso, complete with latte art. It was delicious. Will be stopping here again tomorrow before we hit the road.

I give the three starts because the coffee was good. I went with my husband and one year old son and the barista and one of the workers(probably one if the owners) did not give a nice greeting. We were driving from Palo Alto and decided to spend a night in Redding. With this experience, our first impression of Redding is not really good. We were busy entertaining the baby and no one was capable of bringing the coffee to our table. At first we thought that was their style… until we saw that the barista brought tea to other table. This place definitely does not deserve the presence of my cute son, not coming back again. I have been in really upscale restaurants and many coffee places in other cities and the attention has been way better than this. «What goes around, comes around».

Driving through Redding and found this awesome coffee spot. Owner and son were fantastic! Gluten free snacks and almond milk latte. Just what I was looking for. Coffee was delicious and the macaroon bars yummy!

This place was pretty good– it’s in a really unique and smart location in town(it’s kinda the only café type place around) and it is very nicely decorated and the workers are friendly. The menu is pretty limited; there was 1 salad, 1 sandwich and 1 soup choice. My mom is a regular here and ordered the southwest chicken salad and I decided to try the tomato, basil, mozzarella panini. My sandwich was very good, but a tad bit on the greasy side from the panini press. I’d definitely like to come try out their coffee and pastries next time I am in town.

My husband and I practically come here weekly I don’t know why I didn’t think to review them. This place is the best place in Redding to get your coffee and better yet the Honey Latte is amazing!!! I get it every time. Plus the service here is awesome and they are very friendly. Great atmosphere inside. The place is nicely placed inside the Cal Trans building and they have two reserved parking spaces inside the parking area.

Friendly service, great coffee, and whoever helped us(I think the owner or manager) even provided some entertainment by giving us some trivia printed on some half sheets. All in all I’m glad that Redding is bringing in higher tier cafes recently. Shows our community is heading in a very positive direction.

I had a great time at Caffe Pagato! They have such a warm and welcoming shop that makes you want to stay for hours. without even checking your phone! I was visiting with a few friends from where I work and we all had a blast. One of my favorite drinks at any café is a cappuccino. The barista working during my visit was Beau, and he delivered! The espresso tasted great coming through an well groomed layer of micro-foam. And he created a great rosetta piece to adorn the top! I have no hesitation saying that this may be my favorite craft coffee shop in Redding. Visit Caffe Pagato ASAP!

Loved their space, great natural light on a rainy winter day. They carry Equator, which is a solid roaster out of San Rafael, CA. Espresso was extracted well, and the milk was on point. Definitely check them out if you’re in Redding.

My husband and i brought 4 of our staff to caffe Pogato, what a delightful experience! They served us with speed and excellence. The lattes, chemex and specialty drinks were incredible. Jenny and Beau served us and not only were they excellent baristas, they were so sweet and friendly. We had a great experience and can’t wait to be back!

Super friendly staff. Thankfully they started serving a limited soup selection for lunch. Goodbye burgers. I will grab an occasional clam chowder bread bowl. When I had exhausted the chowder and had all that bread left Jen refilled my bowl. I Told You They Are Friendly. Perfect for those cold days! This place is small and just opened so you should visit before they get crazy busy. Oh by the way it’s not a lunch place but the best coffee shop in Redding. Park in the parking structure if there isn’t any street parking. I think you are supposed to park in the Caltrans spots because it is in the Caltrans building but have been told any spot not designated for doctors. There is no parking enforcement in the structure yet. I forgot to get a picture of the bread bowl before I devoured the tasty treat maybe someone else can get a pic posted.

Best coffee in Redding by far! I love Caffè Pagato and I highly recommend! Their white chocolate mocha(with a little caramel) is delicious … and make sure you have room for their pastries, too!

Not very often do you find a high end coffee shop that feels this welcoming. I work remotely on occasion to mix up my view. After two visits, this place feels like home. The two baristas working were extremely friendly and welcoming, the latte was crafted to perfection and served in a classy black mug. The atmosphere is put together in an extremely well thought out way that maximizes the small space into plenty of room. Free wifi, which the other high end coffee stop in redding fails to supply, and plugs in plenty of places for those that are using laptops. It makes me kind of sad, but I guess this is goodbye to the other shop I frequent. We had a good run though. Sincerely, Zach
