I love chili relleños. I love burritos. Here, there is a CHILIRELLEÑOBURRITO. It’s called the Cry Cry Cry and also stuffed with beans, cheese and green chile. Heaven. And HUGE, I could only finish half of it. If you are looking for a good spot to grab a bite in Red River, I’m confident to say this is your best bet. The menu has something I think everyone could like, it’s a fun atmosphere, and the last time we stopped in, there was live music! There’s lots of eye candy on the wall playing into the old school vibe of this place. Dishes on the menu have creative names paying homage to characters of Grease, Happy Days, The Addams Family, Little Rascals, and more. The food is a good blend of Tex Mex and American staples, and I think everyone at my table enjoyed what they ordered from burgers and sandwiches, to tacos and enchiladas. Now, it’s a small place with a small staff so don’t expect your food to come flying out. Instead, enjoy the experience! You can also order ahead and get your food to go which comes in handy in the mornings if you are looking for something like a breakfast burrito.

Went to Yesterdays on New Years Day for dinner. As someone previously said they were understaffed today but they were apologetic and very friendly. Unlike some Red River restaurants the prices here were normal $ 10.95 chicken fried steak. Food was good and worth the wait. The veggie served with the meals was corn nuggets which was a pleasant surprise.

Be aware of this place! The Philly cheesesteak is not. It looks like a hamburger, and the meat did not taste like one. We returned it and were told that’s how the cook makes it. Prior to this we had a discussion with the waitress about it and were not informed that it would be anything out of the ordinary. We ordered a different meal for my son, which the cook decided not to handle until the rest of the restaurant was served. During this time the remaining three of us finished our meals and still waited. The waitress kept telling us they were in the works, but 20 minutes later no replacement meal. My husband went to the kitchen(it’s open) to find out what was going on. The lady cook proceeded to yell at him and tell him that we could cancel the order but would still have to pay for the meal. She was clearly offended that we did not like her style of Philly cheesesteak, and treated us rudely. Maybe they could indicate on the menu that it is different — we could have abounded the whole situation. Other food was fine — the Reuben and chicken fried steak(although def frozen). This may soon be a diner of ‘yesterday’ if they keep this up.

Cute little restaurant in Red River, NM. It’s very cute and nostalgic. Each of the menu items are named after an old tv show. I ordered a french toast and it was really good. I received two large pieces of Texas toast on my plate! The staff was friendly and there wasn’t too much of a wait. I loved that I Love Lucy was playing on the TV, it definitely knocked the nostalgic experience out of the ball park. I’d love to come back.

Finally made it in to try the food at this place(see prior review for details-basically was denied a table because a larger party possibly could show up and they had to save the only table large enough for us just in case). The environment was casual and I loved that all the names of the meals were based on characters from old TV shows-cute! I ordered the«Otis»(chicken sandwich with guac and fries), my husband ordered a basic hamburger(he can’t remember the name) and my in-laws got the special which was a brisket sandwich with onion rings. Pros: friendly and competent service this time around. The French fries were really crispy and soft on the inside-very good. The pickle served with the meal was crisp and crunchy. My chicken was juicy and tender, in-laws said their onion rings were good. Cons: the amount of guacamole on my sandwich was pitiful. Don’t even say it has guac on it if it’s too little to even taste it. There wasn’t even a tablespoon on it, and I’m not exaggerating. I asked the server if that was how much was supposed to be on it and she said yes, so I had them add a side and added more myself. I shouldn’t have bothered because it tasted like it had been made with a powdered mix rather than fresh guac, very disappointing. My in-laws brisket had so much fat on it about half was left of the plate because it was too fatty to eat. My husband said his burger was flavorless and his bun was greasy. Overall, not great. The meal had some highs-the fries were great-but I wish the rest of the meal had been of higher quality.

This is a cute little 50’s diner. I had a burrito and hubby had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. We thought the food was very good. In hindsight, I think I should have ordered something more diner like, but my burrito was flavorful and still a solid choice. The service was good and there seemed to be quite a few locals eating there. The prices seemed average. We ordered a chocolate shake and malt to go while we walked around the town and stretched our legs.
