We tried the chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, and meat lovers pizza. All of that was quite good and the sauce was really yummy. The only thing that is a drawback here is the bread. It is Terrible! I read other reviews commenting on the bread and thought, «How bad can it be?» Well we both agreed it’s the worst restaurant bread we’ve ever had. It’s actually kind of baffling, since the pizza dough was so good. On the bright side we didn’t chow down on tons of bread and leave with that overloaded feeling. Leftovers of the entrees were great the second day as well.

Really good Stromboli! Quick too! Put the # in your phone & call on your way home from work. They also deliver! Support Red Oak businesses and try this place. It’s BYOB for when you want a good Chianti and some comforting Italian food.

We just moved to the area and tried several other places(pizza hut was doughy and romas Italian tasted like store bought) but none met our expectations. NYC Pizza is awesome and authentic!!! Will be back!

been coming here since 2008 when it was known as Sam’s…it has changed. Marinara quality, on this visit, was not what it once used to be. The infamous«garlic knots» that once greasily adorned the menu, have been changed to a non greasy recipe now, and was a HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT!!! The pizzas I witnessed from the oven looked the same, but i cannot know for sure. The prices have inflated some, but for me… I will not be back to test the menu anymore. I much preferred the previous Sams recipes and can only hope they return. So long NYC Pizza

Superb customer service! Excellent NY style pizza! Beats any of the pizza chains. This place is now under new management and much better than before.

NYC is a great new addition to pizza options in Red Oak and the Glenn Heights/Ovilla area. This restaurant had been Sam’s Pizza and Pasta for many years and the only dine in Italian option in Red Oak. The restaurant has changed owners and the quality of the pizza has improved dramatically. A medium thin crust pizza with everything plus anchovies was crunchy and delicious and more than enough for two. Although the menu has not changed noticeably, we are hoping pasta entrees and subs/calzones have all been overhauled as well. Check them out, Red Oak!
