Tasty American-style Chinese food served by friendly people. Solid, standard entrees – Lo mein, fried rice, hot & sour soup, General Tsao chicken, spicy Szechuan vegetables, crab rangoon, all prepared fast and hot with full flavor. Dishes come out when they’re ready(regardless of whether others’ food is ready) but that means everything is very fresh. Don’t expect anything innovative, but do expect good food.

China Gate has some of the best Chinese food around. Surprising, considering it’s in Red Oak. Honestly — whether it’s General Tso’s Chicken or crab rangoons or fried rice. China Gate is awesome. I’ve eaten Chinese food around the world(however, not yet in China) and China Gate is up there. Yes, it’s Americanized(how else would it succeed here) but I miss it and the $ 5 lunch buffet.
