I received a fabulous pedicure from Sandra… perfectly executed, painless and diligently attended… highly recommend!

The pedicures are great here– really nice foot and leg massage, soothing aloe vera moisturizer– really relaxing. The choice of nail color is a little limited– I couldn’t find my favorite mauve color– but I’d rather have a good foot massage anytime. MUCH better than the nail place in the Hudson Valley Mall! Highly recommended. Aiden Nails is the new name of Nails Plus– it’s the same place, same management, I think.

Rude owner refused to give my young friend the discounted rate for being under 13, basically accusing her of lying even though she was actually 12. Not okay to mistreat and berate girls who are unable to stand up for themselves.

I own The Red Hook Inn and generally do not have the time to get away easily for a mani/pedi…however, NAILSPLUS in RHINEBECK owned and operated by LILY and her husband GARY is my chosen respite spot for the absolute BEST pedicure around. The manicure is good but the hands of Gary and Lily together create pure comfort for my overworked legs and hands. The place is convenient to parking, clean and bright. Nothing fancy and not hectic, it doesn’t feel like a ‘nail factory’. The prices are fair and as marked. The polish choices are many and the courtesy and smiles are plentiful. English is spoken and they know and care for their clients. While there are other nice, small salons such as A NAILAFFAIR(another favorite) in Red Hook, I make the extra time and effort to go to Lily and Gary whenever possible! Pat Holden

since my arrival to the upstate area in ’07… finding a place to get my mani/pedi has been even more challenging than finding a man up here who reads books and has all of his teeth. LOL… seriously… as a native NYCer, I understand that there are two kinds of options… the ‘cheap and great’ and the ‘fancy & fab’. I split my time between both kinds but let me tell you… finding that place that offers an affordable and quality ‘quick and good’ mani/pedi north of Westchester isn’t easy to find. I’d like to point out that I would NEVER plot a bridal whatever like @Brenda H did at this place. if you want that… stop being cheap and go over to Haven for the perks and champagne. however, for those of us who just wanna get er done under the skilled hands of some lovely stereotypical semi-cool ‘asians’ with the skills… stop looking… your oasis is here. I started going to Red Hook Nails Plus in ’09 and pretty much frequent the spot every time I’m on that side of the river(later today will be another one of those times). when I found out I’d be in Tivoli today for a business meeting, my first thought was… awesome! Nails Plus Mani Pedi will be a MUST before I head back over the Rhinecliff Bridge. I love this place for what it is, and wish there were a few more of them around the HV. NOTE: their waxing situation SUCKS, would give ‘that’ two stars.

This place is probably the worst nail place in the area! Because there is limited choices… Even after having a bad experience the first time with a cocky rude gentlemen(claims he is the owner) I defied the odds and had no choice I had a wedding the next day! I was told to come back in 1 hour… Ok I go do some errands and come back! I patiently sat for 45 minutes watching to get the look ok we’re ready for you… And I got«giver 2 secs» every 10 minutes… 1 person was eating, another was tending to her baby(really on a Friday night) after a whole lot of patience… And them taking people that were getting irrate. I asked again? I got a nasty response can’t you see where busy? Hello yes I can but 2 hours is a bit much ! No? They have no consideration of people’s time or feelings!

Today’s destination was Red Hook for mani/pedi with my 7 year old friend, C. She had never been given a proper mani/pedi before so I thought being a girly girl she would like it. And she did! The staff there was pretty non-plussed about it and even suggested the kid’s manicure. Kid? No way. My friend had to have the whole shebang. It was cute to see her reaction to the massage chair, tickly foot scrubs and the like. The nail technician was really great with her and even painted flowers on her big toes. They did a pretty good job with me too(no flowers) for a reasonable fee($ 37). Welcome to the world of being a high maintenance woman little C! I had a fun day indeed!
