My kids go to school of rock and have been going for years. They both went in knowing virtually nothing about playing their instruments and performing live, except for playing in school band. Which doesn’t really count. They now perform like professionals… they each play two instruments and one of them sings. The staff here is amazing and have treated us like family. I have to say there aren’t enough words to say how much they have done for my kids.

What I love about this place is that it fosters both individual and group learning. Kids can hone their skills while learning to play music TOGETHER. This is totally different than the environment I learned piano and guitar in, where the emphasis was on individual 1 on 1 lessons. I always had to find people to play with on my own. Here, they have a wonderful program, where kids of all age groups and skill-levels can rehearse together then PLAYOUT at venues. How awesome is that? It’s an incredible way to build confidence and share a musical experience with other kids. My son takes drum lessons here, and the drum guy, Nash, is a supremely talented and patient instructor. This place truly rocks.

My son has been attending the Red Bank School of Rock for over a year. It has been a wonderful experience for both myself and my son. He does both lessons and the performance program. My son had some classic piano training, but had little experience with Rock songs. Just over a year later he has learned to play dozens of classic rock, punk, and grunge songs, played 4 concerts on keyboards. He was inspired to pick up the bass guitar and played 2 concerts, and wants to learn 6 string guitar. In short, I am impressed with Billy at SoR and his excellent instructors. They really care about the music and the kids. The SoR is a nurturing and safe place that allows a new generation to appreciate great music just like I did when I was a teenager.
