Unbelievably bad Thanksgiving meal. The squash soup was good except for the tacky large marshmallow in the center of the bowl and it went downhill from there. The salad was not good and it had salty chicken sausage and mixed greens that had a soil taste, and it was overpriced at $ 7.95. The turkey was terrible: jelly-like consistency and tasteless. The mashed potatoes and stuffing were plated in scoops, like you would get from a cafeteria, and that cost $ 29.95! The dessert was overpriced, at $ 7.95, and store-bought in appearance and taste. This was an over-priced meal that had bad flavors and a cheap appearance. I am so disappointed that I will never eat here again.

I had my wedding reception at the Oyster Point in Red Bank last weekend. The room had beautiful views up the River and an outside deck. The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. I very much recommend the Oyster Point for any affair.

This is a year behind, but my husband and I had our wedding reception at the Oyster Point Hotel last November. To this day, we are still hearing feedback from our guests that this was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. The staff was fantastic, Allison Mercer is an angel!!! She was on top of everything and treated us like not only like we were the only wedding she was coordinating, but also as if it were her own wedding. Every question I had she answered me back right away. We opted to go with the St. Tropez package which includes an anniversary night stay. I had emailed Allison recently and got a response immediately letting me know that she had already arranged our stay. On the day of the wedding we worked with Christian who is every bit as amazing as every other review says. He was our wedding day angel. He made sure everything was taken care of, I didn’t have to worry about any scheduling or set up on the day of the wedding because he made sure it was perfect for my husband and I. We had quite a few decoration that needed to be set up and the staff made our wedding absolutely wonderful. The serving staff was fantastic. Everyone was respectful and courteous to my guests(although I think one of the guests was going down the dessert line the wrong way and got scolded but that’s what happens when you don’t follow directions :)). The Oyster Point is a beautiful venue, with a cozy, warm feel and an amazing view of the Navesink river. Our guests felt welcomed and I appreciate that so much. The fact that the venue is also a hotel is a plus since the guests had somewhere to stay. The event staff is incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the reception we had. The night of my wedding could have been a little easier which had nothing to do with the reception staff. The hotel staff was friendly until my husband found a bug in our bed the night of our wedding, which we did bring the bug to the front desk after finding it. The staff that took care of us was reluctant to help us move to another room but they still did(even though we had to move to a down-graded suite). The manager did call us the next morning to apologize profusely for the incident and they did move our room to the appropriate suite for the next night since my husband and I were staying there for 2 nights. While it was unfortunate that we had to experience something like that on our wedding night, the hotel still tried their best to help us the rest of the time we spent there and that will not change my opinion of the hotel overall. It’s a good hotel, we’ve stayed there prior to the wedding and now will again in a couple of weeks. And if this was the worst thing that happened on our wedding day, we are okay with that! Overall, I highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Make sure you ask for Allison when looking to book this place!

Convenience is the key factor when it comes to staying at Oyster Point Hotel. No, I wouldn’t call it a five star experience, probably wouldn’t even consider it four star. However, the location and friendly staff make it a go-to spot for me. The hotel is situated on the water but very close to Downtown Red Bank. If you don’t need to go the extra few miles and stay near Pier Village in Long Branch I’d best recommend Oyster Point. Its sister hotel Molly Pitcher Inn is about a 3 – 4 minute walk but is honestly a bit dated and more for the middle-to-senior-aged couples scene. The food at Oyster Point’s restaurant Pearl was amazing. The check-in and check-out were both seamless. The rate was very reasonable. I had no complaints honestly. The only reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars lies in the fact that at the end of the day, while it’s nice, it’s still your mediocre hotel — nothing WOW but everything you need.

Really good food, great views of the Navesink River. We decided to have our post-wedding reception here and were really pleased. We had a room that seated 80 guests with a view of the water as well as an outdoor wraparound deck and lounge. The food was amazing each time we’ve been here and the service was excellent.

The rooms are very nicely decorated, spacious, and new, and the hotel boasts beautiful views of the Navesink river. The hotel frequently hosts loud events on the weekends that you can hear from every floor of the room. This is a bit of a bummer if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend getaway and don’t want to hear a dozen 8-year-olds dancing the Electric Slide while you’re trying to get your zen on. The staff seems to lack the customer-service mentality you’ll find at pricier hotels. There were bunch of small things that were not handled well by their staff that added up to a mediocre experience for me. A request for a working hairdryer took twice as long as it should have, food was not great and was delivered without necessary utensils. When I tried to order an entrée off the«All-Day» menu that’s left in the room, the dining staff acted like they were doing me a favor by fulfilling my order when it was«not dinner time»…they didn’t seem to know what was on the menu. The dining area and bar are very stuffy and uptight. This place is an obvious hit with old folks. It can’t compete with the likes of the W or any other Marriott, but compared to The Holiday Inn it’s definitely a slight step up.
