Best chocolate mousse birthday cake ever. We ordered it the day before, picked it up on time. The whole counter of sweets looks so yummy.

I can’t say enough about this place. Croissants, macarons, a sandwich cookie they call a chocolate cloud, mousses, millefeuille, tarts, all super fresh and heavenly. In a time(and, let’s just say it, town) where trendy cupcake peddlers seem to be most of what the dessert world has to offer, Antoinette goes back to basics and nails the classic French pastries in a dainty, Parisian style setting that’s a pleasure to stop into. As a French pâtisserie enthusiast(I used to live a couple of blocks from Payard before I moved down from NY and it was not easy to say au revoir to them), I’m very happy to have somewhere close by that offers this kind of high-level quality. Worth mentioning also that they take something that is more often than not too bland and/or dry(the peanut butter cookie) and somehow make theirs transcendent. There was never a time before I discovered Antoinette when I’d actually crave a peanut butter cookie, but now I think of theirs frequently. Very elegant operation they have here, and the care that they put into crafting perfect desserts is evident in everything they offer.

For what you get, the prices are pretty fair! Very high quality. Wouldn’t eat there everyday, but an excellent treat! Staff always extremely courteous.

So this is a fun story: early on in my relationship with my boyfriend, I tried to entice him with all the great things NJ had to offer. I took him to the basic sights that I knew of: asbury park, Princeton, you know… The works. So of course, as I was driving through the red bank area, I had to stop by Antoinette boulangerie. I stopped in for one reason– I love almond croissants and they have one of the best(dare I say THE best). My boyfriend was trying to be cool so he didn’t take to much of anything I showed him that day but when he ate this croissant he was like«omg.» And he devoured the whole thing. We’ve been together ever since. In short, their baked goods can find you love. Side note: I am in a perpetual search for the best almond croissant. It has to have a flaky texture and the almond cream/paste should never use almond extract. It’s surprising how many places opt to use almond extract. Antoinette boulangerie does not(at least I don’t think). It’s super delicious. Trust.

Very upscale and elegant for a cookie/dessert/pastry shop and on the pricey side but the flavor is well worth the price! Their cookies seem to be so light and full of flavors that is some of the best cookies I have ever had. I have only had a few things from there but it all looks great. Stop in for yourself and pick out something that looks good to you and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

This place caught my eye and I decided to take a look, definitely no regrets. I had a espresso coffee and a chocolate croissant… I mean THE chocolate croissant. You bite, feel the crunchy and right after melts in your mouth, it’s amazing. I want to come back and try other things. The eclairs looked delicate and delicious. I also had great service. The lady at the counter was very helpful, I asked some questions, maybe too many and she was great. There is a window glass so you can see they working on in the pastry kitchen. Everything looks very clean and neat.

Stopped for coffee during the Oyster Festival. Great Coffee and very friendly service. If I was hungry for a dessert, this would be a place that I would try! Their display was incredible — almost wanted to jump in the display case and take a nibble! A must try if you’re in the area!

The pastries and dessert items here are some of the absolute best I have ever had. Everything is so fresh and rich. My favorite part is that desserts you’ve had a million times like a napoleon taste a million times better when they are from here.

Had this delicious lemon mousse cake. It’s very light and not at all overly sweet. That’s the one thing I love about French desserts. It’s light, airy and not tart not too sweet. We also had their coffee with steamed milk. It reminds us of New Orleans when we went to café Dumont. It’s called café au lait. It was definitely done to perfection. No sugar needed. All their cakes and pastries are done on their premises and they do take special orders. I had the pleasure of having their croissant and chocolate croissant at a staff meeting. I was so impressed by those simple things, it was part of my quest to find the store and try other desserts. I’m so glad I did. It’s nirvana in bakery land.

Awesome baked goods, pastries, cakes, etc. across the board. What else to add? …not much that hasn’t been said. This place is deserving of the rave reviews. Wish they had more places to sit to enjoy eating in(there is 1 table outside, when it’s nice). Coffee and hot chocolate are very good too! I LOVE the mini pastries… perfect for a quick little treat.

Gluten free desserts in abundance and all delicious, but especially the French Macarons and the Crème Brulee. Definitely try the Lavender flavor and the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor Macarons. My husband liked his regular full of gluten pastry twist thing too! The two clerks who helped us were really nice. Good coffee, and nice there is an option of almond milk :) Thanks for letting me indulge my need for dessert on a Saturday morning!

I eagerly awaited Antoinette Boulangerie’s opening, intrigued by the fancy-sounding French name & the arrival of yet another bakery in Red Bank. Could it compete? The answer, it seems, is yes, given the reviews this place has garnered. It’s impressive, I’ll give it that — beautiful pastries, beautiful case display, beautifully maintained space… everything about it is just really beautiful. And yet. I was really put off by a few things: staff’s general snobbery; their $ 5 credit card minimum; their very small selection of macarons(only two flavors!); & the fact that the mango macaron I bought turned my mouth BRIGHTBLUE. Do you know how mortifying it is to be an adult woman walking around town with a bright blue mouth & teeth? I didn’t even realize it until, like, an hour later, when I tried on clothes at a shop around the corner & discovered that I looked like I’d swallowed a Smurf. No wonder everyone I’d spoken to in the last 60 minutes had looked at me like I was insane. To be fair, that mango macaron was delicious, but whyyyy was it blue!!! Antoinette Boulangerie will appeal to a certain sort of customer, & I can imagine their pastries make for a lovely spread for a special event. That said, this place is just… trying too hard for me. I far prefer the casual charm & down-to-earth appeal(plus 12 macaron flavors!) at Lil Cutie Pops just down the street.

I’ve purchased several small desserts from Antoinnette Boulangerie over the last few weeks. My favorite so far is the passion fruit mousse cup. Sweet with a little bit of tartness. Yesterday I purchased the strawberry mousse cake. Two layers of lite and airy cake with a thick layer of strawberry mousse in the middle that just melted in my mouth. The whole cake is covered in a beautiful red gelatin-like coating. It was the perfect cake for our anniversary. Everything else in the pastry shop looks amazing. I’d like to visit more often but I’m afraid I’d balloon to twice my size.

The best bakery not only on east but also on west coast! Love every single pastry and cake from them!!! Just few days ago I asked the management to prepare and deliver cake from red bank to central jersey town(around 30 miles) and they went out of their ways and deliver the best cake to make deliver our birthday wishes from California to a dear friend and relative! What a nice way to keep and respect the clients! Thank you Antoinette and Ayca!

stopped in for croissants and coffee and were NOT disappointed! I love the fact that they have almond milk for the coffee too. This bodes well for me and my current obession of all things French! While it would be great if they had seating, its probably better that they dont… Better for my waistline! Will most definitely be back and next time I must get the macarons!

This is a cool little bakery that sells small but very tastey and imo not very commonly found pastries. My wife ordered the rose panna cotta and I had the lepzin cookie(two cookies made of hazelnut flour sprinkled with confectionary sugar with raspberry and peach jam inside… surprisingly good given how simple it looks) The pastries here are on the pricey side: $ 7 for a 8oz panna cotta and $ 3.50 for the cookie. The shop is small with only standing space inside to wait in-line to order, but there is a window that allows you to see right into the kitchen and watch the bakers at work. There is only a small table for two on the porch outside and a stoop to sit-on. Great place for tastey unique pastries(good if you wana impress the wifey/gf) but no seating so its more of a buy and eat as you go kinda place.

I’m so glad our friends brought us to this bakery! The space is cute, sophisticated, and elegant at the same time. All the baked goods are displayed behind the glass, with a wide array of items that look almost too good to eat. It was difficult to limit myself to only purchase a few items without going overboard. We ended up getting the chocolate croissant($ 2.75?), napoleon($ 6), and a mini brioche man($ 1.25). The chocolate croissant was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and not at all greasy. It also has a generous amount of chocolate all throughout, so it was in every bite, unlike some places where it only has one piece of chocolate in the center. The $ 6 might seem steep for a napoleon, but it was actually a very reasonable price for the size, and we were told it’s their most popular item, and they recommended it. You could see each individual pastry layer that had just the right crunch, the custard had an awesome consistency and perfectly balanced sweetness, and there were pieces of fresh raspberries in the custard too! The mini brioche man was a very impulse buy on my part because I couldn’t resist how adorable it looked. But unfortunately the brioche was dry and lacked flavor. The bakery is open until reasonably late, 7pm on Sundays, but I wish they had small tables where customers could enjoy their goodies right away. We had to wait til we got home to eat the napoleon because we didn’t have a place to put it down and cut it into bites. There are two very small benches outside, but theres no tables. They also had plain croissant, almond croissant, chocolate AND almond croissant, and mini croissants! We were very happy with the choc. croissant and napoleon, and can’t wait to return and try the other yummy goods!
