For those of you who are unfamiliar, Wawa is a local gas station/convenience store that serves the East Coast. In addition to fuel, they offer your typical gas station fare; hot dogs, overpriced snacks, and a wall of soda. Wawa also offers a made-to-order section where you can get some more savory bites to eat then the aforementioned questionable hot dog. I use this particular Wawa as an example, and my choice to review, because its proximity to my home, and the people who work there. My transactions with them are usually spot on, quick, concise, and pleasant. The chain offers some amazing coffee that has replaced Dunkin Donuts in terms of taste and price(so it’s win-win!). Also, I apparently run less of a risk using my credit card at Wawa, given the recent charges brought against a local Dunkin Donuts employee for identity theft. With a great breakfast and lunch selection, made-to-order drinks, fantastic coffee and great customer service I can’t help but love this location.

I used to love the Wawa subs in college, though they seem to be slightly less mighty now. They’ve adopted the Sheetz-style ordering situation, which is quick, although a bit impersonal. I had a 10″ turkey with all the trimmings on a whole wheat roll. Glad they had wheat bread; I don’t think they did 10 years ago. That and a big bag of chips for $ 6.50. Seemed reasonable. Pulling out to drive north here isn’t great, as the light holds forever.

Typical Wawa… nothing amazing or crappy about this location. Pulling in and pulling out can be a bit tricky, so it’s usually easiest to pull out from the side and go to the street light.
