Hy-Vee Food & Drug Stores

Love this store. Well love the liquor department. The store is cool too. The staff is really friendly. Everyone smiles and speaks to you. Thats important to me. Good food. Love the fuel saver perks. Always a good shopping experience.

This is my go to store. The staff is friendly and the managers are attentive. I read a review that said they sometimes don’t stock certain things. On two different occasions I emailed the store and emailed the company of an item I wanted. Within a couple weeks the store was carrying the item.
This store is twenty four hours. They hire the Raytown Police to work security, and I always feel safe there no matter what time of day or night.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is Hyvee stores in general are a little expensive, but Raytown has a lower sales tax which makes up for it a little.

People are always friendly and helpful if I ever need help finding anything.

So there I am walking out of Hy-​Vee pushing my shopping cart full of toilet paper and yogurt covered raisins. There are two lanes of traffic, the right lane that runs in front of the store and the left lane bordering the parking lot. I get to the parking lot when an elderly gentleman starts slowly backing out of a parking place. I’m paused halfway out into the left lane of traffic. I younger female in the right lane (not being impeded by me at all) rolls down her window an yells «get out of the way @ss.le»
I thought «wow someone is in somebodies way.» I turn to look and she’s staring at me while driving by slowly. A litany of responses coalesce in my mind all with making her cry in the end. Instead I smile really big and give her my best parade wave I can muster. Most people expect aggression and do not know how to behave when met with kindness (even sarcastic kindness) The girl flips out and is now making hand gestures at me and screaming something. My smile turns into laughter and I point at her as I continue pushing cart to my car.
Shop at hy vee for great prices and produce selection!

We are fortunate to have this nice of a Hy-​Vee in this area. The store is nicely laid out and clean. Some stores have a grungy feel to it; this does not. My wife and I have no problem shopping here.
The only knock against is the checkouts. Maybe it’s the clientele, maybe it’s the lack of people to check, but it does seem to take longer than most places to check out here.

There are several grocery stores in Raytown. Of the options available, my business goes to Hy-​Vee. The Walmart store near my house is always slow and dirty, while the Hy-​Vee is always clean and the associates are quite friendly, as well as helpful. If Hy-​Vee weren’t here, I would definitely drive to Lee’s Summit to get groceries from a store I know will have what I’m looking for.

Of all the Hy-​Vee locations I shop at between work and home this is by far the one I have the most trouble finding the stuff I want in stock. Far too often I go to this store and find they don’t have what I am looking for then have to drive over to Lee’s Summit to shop. This store, on average, is a waste of time. I was hopeful they would improve when they closed their smaller location on 350 Highway but NOPE! They are still falling behind the other Hy-​Vees in the metro. It’s OK to run in for something quick if you know they have it in stock, but they certainly stock fewer options than their other stores.

It’s a huge grocery store, recently built or remodeled — not entirely sure which, but everything looks clean & updated — and it carries all kinds of specialty items as well as the usual grocery-​store stuff. They’ve got an extensive deli section with lots of cool cheeses & things, and a big florist’s section. The best part is the breakfast buffet on the weekends. Fresh omelettes made to order! Service is always fast & friendly, the folks at the buffet get to know the «regulars» and greet them by name. Great produce too.

This Hy-​Vee is my go-​to location for all my staple grocery needs.
The store is always clean and the produce is always fresh. The express lanes have always moved every quickly every time I was in line.
The employees who work the floor are always very friendly. Good service at the registers can be very hit and miss. Sometimes a register employee will compliment my grocery selections but other times the won’t even greet me.
I still love this store. It’s so very close to home that I will always continue shopping here.

This one is the best in the neighborhood. The staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help you out. The shelves are always stocked and the store is very clean. This is wonderful store.

I think the liquor store is more extensive than the one on 291 in Lee’s Summit (see review). Very helpful staff, clean environment, they sell food in back somewhere, I stop here when I’m looking for that special something to add to my drinks.

Though I am closer proximity to the Independence Hy-​vee, this store kind of outdoes that one. Mainly for several reasons. Barring missing a Community America branch or ATM, this is the first Hy-​Vee in the area to carry Shatto Coffee milk, and Shatto cheese. The Shatto Coffee Milk is a must have in my refrigerator, so kudos to the dairy manager for stocking it.
The store carries items the other stores don’t. Plain and simple. And they are the first to carry seasonal food items, before the other stores. I am completely hung up on banana popcycles, and when the other Hy-​vees don’t have them, this store does. It has a very nice, off sectioned wine department with a great staff that knows their products. Their meat department and healthy food area is very nice. The deli area is fresh, and the employees are on the ball.
Due to the coffee milk, I plan on shopping here alot more, but it’s a very nice, large grocery store, and I’m always happy with the selection.
