I arranged for a condolence meal for family. Ed, one if the managers, was most helpful and kind in facilitating this. With much gratitude, to him and the employees of this amazing restaurant.

Overrated. Too many options. Quality and quantity are in question here. Although their menu has options it doesn’t mean they are all good. Andddd what New England restaurant that serves seafood entrees doesn’t include: LOBSTER? this raises red flags for me.

Had Christmas party here for my work… just as gross as I remember. I have never in my years seen scrambled eggs in the consistency that they were. How do you get eggs grainy? There was some kind of chicken with broccoli in the brunch and it was so salty it was not edible. Picked and threw just about everything out. The only thing passable was the mimosas, If they have it there again next year I’m going to skip it.

Let me start by saying PUMPKINSCALLOPSROCK!!! My boyfriend’s ribs were, in his words, YUM… Jamie was our server and she was exceptional: ready to help without being overbearing. Finished it off with a hot buttered rum… life is good.

In June, my best friend hosted a small wedding of 30, cocktail hour early afternoon in the Tavern, and then a nice dinner in the«tower» room in the Publick House which was curtained off almost like a private space. The key to this wedding was that the bride and groom wanted their guests to order off the regular menu as they pleased. They were able to accommodate and feed everyone within a totally reasonable timetable. The staff was so accommodating and the manager, Mark was very easy to work with in the planning and made everyone feel«at home» for the party. All of the food was really good, we definitely put the kitchen to the test and they were able to keep up. Thanks again!

Early Sunday dinner for 4 Service is a little slow, food was okay. Granny Smith mojito Taste like a regular mojito with some apple slices. Nothing special Nachos w/(guac $ 1) Nachos was good with chili and jalapeño. I got guac for the $ 1 extra(not worth it) it was small, like ketchup serving size small. Cast iron filet mignon tips SUPERSWEET, and I hate sweets it was such a disappointment. Their description«Cajun seasoned filet tips jim beam bourbon glazed w/blue cheese» I didn’t expect it to be sugar sweet. It sucks because the steak was cooked to perfection. I’m just not a big fan of the seasoning. Side order: Autumn quinoa salsa From the name«salsa» I was thinking tomatoes onions etc basically a salsa but with quinoa. NOPE, I was wrong. It was quinoa with fruits, and again another sweet dish I didn’t expect. Very disappointing. Sweet potato fries Typical fries, nice a crispy. Overall, might give this place a second try. Great ambience, typical American restaurant. Large selection of food. I’ll just try something else next time.

Just ok food, nothing special. Actually liked the apps, but dinner took quite a while, and underwhelming. I had baked stuffed seafood, a dish i usually love, it was a bit bland here. The place was mobbed, the atmosphere was great, nice building. Had my hopes up looking forward to a nice dinner, may be good for a burger and a beer during a game

Unfortunately is not longer what it was like when it first opened. What was once considered one of the best new spots, now has glazed over and become very sub par. Needs a revamp and complete re-branding. Food is below average and bar is usually a mess. Place has great potential, don’t know if it’s been poor management but for a place known for its great northern atmosphere, Stoneforge no longer delivers the quality it used to.

I have a love/hate relationship with Stoneforge. Love: that is close by and open late~ Love: the great service in late night and when they are super busy Love: Outdoor bar that can serve you a nice brewski Not to say that I «hate» their food but they have your typical bar food with a twist. On a most recent visit, the side dish of rice and veggies was not cooked all the way which dampened the mood with my order of the chicken and steak skewers. I also asked for medium cooked steak and came out very well done. The menu is extensive with many options to choose from. Menu items such as SW quinoa salsa I do appreciate and reflects that restaurants are keeping up with the changing times. Probably will stick with the bar food and brewskis for now.

Close by work so a few of us went for a coworkers last day and i wasnt too impressed. Atmosphere was fine, a little cluttered in my opinion. Food was vasic, i had just some apps and they were your basic frozen items. Nothing too fancy. Coworker of mine had the ribs and ended up sick with food poisoning. I might give it another shot for drinks but food i wasnt impressed.

You have the choice of eating in the restaurant proper or in the tavern. I was here on business with a colleague and we had dinner in the tavern. I was surprised that the place was so crowded — it was a Tuesday night, there was no Red Sox game on TV, yet the place was jam packed. No tables were available, and we luckily scooped the last 2 bar stools. The décor is very nice– tons of wagon wheel light fixtures, wood beams, and American flags. Our bartender was a cool guy, combining efficient service with friendly banter. We had an appetizer that was excellent. Nine slices of «Seven Spiced Korean Tuna seared rare with a sesame ginger glaze served with spicy kimchi» cost $ 8.99 and it was worth every penny. A delicious dish! My colleague ordered a Stoneforge Boneless Porterhouse Steak for $ 28.99. It was a monster of a dish –12 oz. of choice angus beef sirloin with a bonus portion of a 4 oz. filet mignon wrapped in bacon, and a choice of two sides. I went for the Stoneforge Jambalaya($ 20.99) — a delectable mixture of chicken, shrimp, andouille sausage in an ancho chili garlic sauce served with tomato, onion and pepper seasoned rice, and a choice of one side. My jambalaya was simply amazing — great chicken and sausage and at least 4 good size shrimp. This was pretty darned good. It’s hard to beat their menu– its very broad with a lot of choices. My share of the appy and my entrée and a few Sam Lights ran me $ 47 with tip. Pretty good value for an excellent dinner in fun surroundings. Speaking of fun, on the way out, we noticed a whole bunch of outside tables near the fire pit — it was a carved pumpkin contest. I snapped a few photos for the good of Unilocaldom.
