I have had independent cuisine from all over Ohio, and Troncone and Perry has some of the best Cajun and Southwest food in the state. They provide generous portions and high quality, local meats that kept me stuffed for hours. I will absolutely travel to the area from Southern Ohio for more great food from this restaurant. The wait was 100% worth it. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you.

I haven’t tried everything. If you love spices this is the place. No bland food here. I have to say the barbecue sauce is light, packed with seasoning, and runs not thick like most joints. The greens I really enjoyed, not slathered in vinegar. You could taste everything in it, nor so greasy like greens with bacon. No bacon grease, yay. What I like is different, spices, food is prepared hot, fresh and with… Thought ! The buns they use are handmade, soft, do not over power the sandwiches at all ! The buns should never change. They appear huge and un bearable. But, they are actually light in taste and don’t bloat you. I’m a very picky greens, sauce, bun, and meat person!!! They passed my raised eyebrow faces.

Passing through traveling and saw the reviews. Thursday BBQ buffet. It is amazing, probably the best BBQ I have ever had. Definitely on my list when passing through.

It won’t impress you with esthetics but it will wow you with flavor and taste. Tried the smoked prime rib that is done once a month and was not disappointed. The collard greens and sweet potato sides I ordered distracted me from the main dish. The smoked prime rib was amazing. I even found myself dipping it in the collard greens sauce instead if the au jus sauce. Places like this are the ones people always search for but rarely find. Can’t wait to explore the menu.

The owner is a culinary school graduate who knows what he is doing. I recommend this little pizzeria if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. Today’s buffet was a rice, vegetables, meat stew that was very delicious. The owner has everything made in-house which gives the consumer peace of mind. The owner had garlic cheese biscuits on the table waiting for us when we walked in. Wednesday is the only set day for the buffet which is BBQ all of the other days I guess he takes his usual customers requests for what will be on the menu for that week. I will be coming back the next business trip I have at Honda. I definitely recommend this to anyone willing to try a small restaurant.

I felt a little bad for raving about the barbecue buffet without actually trying it… So I went back and tried it yesterday. I got there a little after it ended(it runs 11 – 2,) but he still had some food left and heated it up for me. I had some bean soup while I waited, with a cornbread muffin. Great soup; better than mom’s(sorry mom.) The plate he brought me was piled high with ribs, pulled pork, shredded chicken, macaroni and cheese, and greens. I made a valiant attempt to eat it all but failed. The ribs were great: huge, dry rubbed, meaty, with just the right texture(to me, this is not quite fall-off-the bone,) plenty of flavor, and little fat. The pork was good, the chicken was great, the sauce was just right(and on the table in a bottle, since good meat really doesn’t need sauce.) The mac and cheese was among the best I’ve ever had. The greens were very good, with chunks of pork mixed in. I don’t think they were collards(my favorite,) but they tasted great. They count as a vegetable and counteract the not-so-healthy parts of this meal, right? I think my workout afterward got rid of about a third of the calories… Once again, it is clear this guy knows what he is doing. The food is great, the service is great, the price is reasonable, the place is unpretentious. My kind of restaurant. I didn’t save room for dessert. All you can eat barbecue– real, delicious barbecue– plus a drink for less than $ 10. It’s incredible.
