Burmesch Variety Store

I have been going to this little store for 46 years now. They STILL make homemade malts and shakes. And even though i am 50, I still have to browse down their candy isle.
I think the most amazing thing about this business is that in all of these years they ave continued to grow and change along with our community. When our grocery store left, they began to carry the basics. But, the weird thing is, whatever I need they seem to magically have.
Cough medicine? Yes. Cherry pie filling? Yes. Tissue paper and streamers? Yes. Candies, chips, slushies and ice cream cones? Yup. They seem to carry everything (even a nice selection of booze) and have that wonderful small town friendliness that we have all come to know and love.
