After living in RSM for over 20 years I have to say that Wood Ranch is by far the best restaurant in the city. From the managers, servers, bar, and hostesses, they always make you feel welcomed and valued. It is very well ran, the food is great, and they have excellent customer service. I feel it is the one place I can go to where they appreciate my business.

Great place to for dinner with family friends. If you are in a hurry then this might not be for you. Often a wait getting in but once seated you should be happy. Food is always good and if not cooked to your liking they are good about fixing. Try the tri tip.

We hadn’t had BBQ in a while so found ourselves here for some hearty comfort food. Tri tip(7oz) and ribs(full=12) were prepared perfectly. When I cut into my steak, our server was stopping by and noticed it was mostly just fat. She insisted on bringing me a new cut, and I wasn’t going to say no… Ended up glad I didn’t, because it was some of the best Tri tip I’ve had since our last trip to Texas(and you usually get the cream of the crop for BBQ there). Skin On Fries weren’t the thick, steak cut style we thought they’d be but the baked potato and Mac and cheese compensated for it. Outstanding staff, management and great all-American style BBQ.

Start your experience with a cocktail, Bourbon Street is the way to go. Refreshing, tasty and are pure alcohol. The Tri-tip is the real deal. Bbq chopped Salad is a hit for my best half. You can’t go wrong with any of their entrees.

I come here with my grandmother for our Sunday dinners and I couldn’t be happier with this establishment! Everytime I come in we are waited on hand and foot! The bartender Danny is such a charm! The sweetest guy and so attentive! Phil our server was one the best servers ever! Answered all my questions and was so patient with us! Thanks wood ranch for continuing our amazing Sunday dinners!

Came here for date night with my husband. Our server, Katie was very sweet and helpful. She gave great suggestions. We ordered the filet mignon and ribs. The ribs weren’t all that but really enjoyed the steak. We ended the night with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream dessert. Yum!

Had one of their burgers with fries and I can honestly say it was one of the worst burgers I have ever tasted. To start with, the fries were cold. I had to get a replacement which was no big deal. They were busy so I guessed the food may have sat a bit longer before the waiter brought it to our table. The hamburger was grossly under cooked to the point that the meat had a mushy bland texture with no flavor. I didn’t bother to let them know. Needless to say I left the burger behind and had the hot replacement fries. I don’t think I will make that mistake again.

First time ordering online, it went well until we got to Chop House Burger, no matter what we selected it just would not go through, after several more attempts & frustration rising. We chose a completely different entrée then it let us moved on. Clearly there is a «bug» on that particular item. Food was ready when we arrived to pick up. The meat, brisket & tri tip, was tender & juicy. Mashed sweet potatoes was creamy & tasty. Carolina Pulled pork sandwich was a hit, Grandma enjoyed her Birthday meal.

What a great Rib Eye! My mom hosted entire family for my daughters communion. Party of 11 even though I mistakenly said 9. From, the hostess to the waiter and his supporting cast they handled it without a hitch. They were very attentive and tended to the needs of the seniors in our party with compassion NOT attitude. Very impressive. As a former waiter myself and now a picky Lawyer, I can tell you the service is as good as the food. Many restaurants can’t seem to get both right. Big Fan will definitely be back.

We went here for my sons birthday. I had made a reservation for 5 and requested inside seating due to rain. We waited at least 15 minutes because there was no table to accommodate 5 even though we had a reservation and when we were seated it was a small table for 4 with an extra chair added at the end which left someone sitting in the walkway and not enough table room. The food is average but our server was very good. In no hurry to return here, typical chain restaurant.

Had a great experience for a birthday. We sat outside on a beautiful night. Only negative was there was a couple families with small children that were pretty loud and throwing a ball right on the other side of the railing and the ball knocked over some glasses and they broke on the ground. That was not a big deal but the wait staff was great and the food was some of best I had in a while. You get some garlic rolls and we ordered the 10 wings and spinach artichoke dip for the appetizer, came out very quickly. And lots of ribs were ordered in our group. Everyone enjoyed them. I personally got the the half chicken with the habanero sauce. Fall off the bone chicken. I’ve never had chicken that perfectly cook and the mashed sweet potatoes were so delicious with the brown sugar and broccoli were great as well.

I love WoodRanch grill! I have never had a bad meal here! The steaks are awesome, that grilled flavor and tender meat ummm yum! The sweet potato fries are to die for! Crunchy and flavored with herbs and spices. I truly have yet to find a place that does them as well! Tonight I tried the quinoa salad(sans dressing) which was fresh, nutty and simply perfect! The service is always impeccable. The staff is attentive and quick.

If I had a nickle for every steak I have had here, I’d be rich. Always a very nice *just above* casual dining experience, with a true steak house feel inside the restaurant, provided by the all wood and low lit tables. The staff are always well dressed, and made to look the part. They are happy, inviting and incredibly well trained. My wife and I have always been big steak fans and the 9 oz top sirloin is usually our cut. I have never had them miss the mark with a cooked level request: Mine gets med-rare, the wife gets medium. She gets fries, I usually ask for steamed broccoli. The steamed veggies here usually come not steamed enough. I’d rather not be snapping through the greens, rather, they should be firm but chew-able after enough time in the water. I have had the shrimp skewers here as a side, and dear lord, NOT A FAN. It seems like they take the gas-powered torch and hold it 1″ from the meat. Everything tasted like sterno. I tried again hoping for different results, same issue. Apparently, its just how they do shrimp. More recently I have moved over to the tri-tip. The Tri-tip is amazing. Never overcooked, and completely melts in your mouth with each bite. I usually grab corn *off* the cob and sweet potato fries to supplement this incredible entrée. The chips and salsa are always a hit with the wife, and I always grab the garlic buttered rolls. I need this recipe! I can chew through a dozen before the steak arrives! Really really good bread. Prices are low end for a steakhouse, but not inexpensive. avg meal for our group is about $ 70.00. The waitstaff are just unbelievable. Completely attentive, and very very thorough. I cannot think of a time when the tip was less than 20%. If you are looking for a nice easy night out,(other than a Friday), feel free to hit this place up. They will take care of you, and you will definitely leave happy. I love this place and I will continue to bring family and friends here. — RTJ

Unilocal 100 Challenge 8⁄100 I’m only reviewing the take out service and will update my review once I dine in the restaurant. My daughter was hungry for someplace nearby she hadn’t eaten at yet. I was going out to dinner with friends so I needed to grab her a quick takeout meal for her to eat at home. She wanted meat and not fast food so I thought of Wood Ranch. I called in to make the order and the young man was very nice and helpful. I settled on sliders and their onion strings. He said it would be done in just 10 – 15 minutes so I drove over quickly. The great thing about their takeout service is that they have specially marked parking right in front of the store and their own separate entrance. Once you enter, the takeout service has its own staff and registers. I was impressed with their commitment to the takeout customer and felt I received great service. More importantly, my daughter said the food was hot, fresh and tasty. I’ll be back.

This place is really good and I’m a fan. I had the Tri-Tip sandwich and it was pretty tasty. The bread was hot and fresh and the I the service was pretty solid. Nothing over the top about the experience, I’d go back and probably will on the next visit to the suburb nation of Rancho Santa Margarita. The thing about this location is that it feels like a movie prop of a Wood Ranch. A façade of the real wood ranch. Essentially it is a knock off of the an original but the transition from the outside world of retail stores to the inside of this place didn’t feel very exclusive like other locations I’ve been to in stand alone buildings. It’s like the difference between a brewery at the mall and the one in Golden Colorado if that make sense. Just didn’t feel genuine! Maybe it is a little too much to ask from place that serves mid market stakes but I want don’t want to see people walking their dogs into a pet store while I am eating!

So I have never been to wood ranch but many people I know rave about it! So tonight my boyfriend and I came here for dinner. We arrived about 4:30 — 4:45 and it was pretty packed already! No wait for a table and our server was on point! She did a great job and we received everything we ordered really quickly! It was nice to get in and out and not feel rushed. We had the onion straws which were good but not memorable — I wouldn’t order again. The boyfriend had the top sirloin with a baked potato and Mac and cheese which he demolished and I ordered a full rack of baby backs and fries. The portions were huge, meaning, we should’ve shared the rack but since we didn’t I’ll have leftovers for days! I am definitely a fan and will be returning when I’m craving BBQ. In my opinion wood ranch is much better than Lucille’s. We chose this location over the spectrum and I’m glad we did!

We ordered a catered lunch from this location despite the Irvine location being closer from my office. The catering department notified me as such because the Spectrum location does not deliver. Delivery window was 11:30 — 11:45 am and they arrived at 11:35 am for our noon luncheon. I was worried that the food might be cold, but it was a decent warm temperature. Everything I ordered was presented and well labeled. They even added an additional salad and upgraded my half salad to a full size without an extra charge. I imagine that mistake was on their end but we benefited from the extra food. We ordered the 2nd package that was $ 16/person, minimum 30 people. We had the BBQ chicken breast, tri-tip, steamed vegetables, garlic roasted potatoes, and garlic rolls. The food was warm and they provided utensils, napkins, plates, wet-naps and serving utensils. The delivery charge is $ 35 but well worth the extra price. My coworkers were pleasantly surprised. They enjoyed the food and we even had some leftovers. I even had a chance to try the roasted vegetable salad and it was quite good as well. Great service!
