Initially, I had a friend ask me to meet up with her at Loco Cycle. I had never taken a spin class so I dropped in to Lauren’s class on a Thursday. I was so hooked! The music, the lights — it was like being at a dance club on bikes! The class is heated which I love– it’s like instant muscle readiness. Now I go 4 times a week and have a blast meeting my friend every Saturday. Try it! You’ll LOVE it!

This is such an amazing place to exercise: the atmosphere is so welcoming and wonderful to be around, and the class itself is challenging and well worth the money. Lauren’s class is my favorite!

Monica kicks arse! For your first class, I would recommend going to her class. She is fun and brings a great energy with her to every class! The other instructors are good too but Monica does it for me. Right now, first class is free so try it! If you like music and want a good workout, you won’t be disappointed!

It was an awesome expirance. Monica the instructor was very fun and exciting bringing lots of motivation and style to the class. Love the music and lights. It was extremely hard but worth every min. Looking forward to coming back to loco cycle for more sweat n tears.

Finally a type of exercise that is fun! I took a class last Saturday, being that I still consider myself an amateur with spin classes and working out period… These classes ARE going to make you sweat! Some of the upper body technics can be tricky but the others taking the class assured me that I’ll catch on. Oh! And about that! The other people in class are super nice! Because I’m not into that«Fit life»(yet), I was intimidated that this class would be a little cult-ish… I was totally wrong! The staff and other spin members were super nice and understanding! The class itself is like going to a club! The music is fun and current! Prices are reasonable and equipment is easy to use. Over all, LOVED it, and this is something that i’ll definitely be keeping up with!

By far the best spin class I have ever been too! Such a fun environment to workout to and push yourself to get to the next level. I will definitely be back. The teachers are so motivating and make you feel like nothing can hold you back from reaching your goal. If you like to sweat and are looking for an amazing fun workout this is the place for you. Thank you Lococycle!

Absolutely loved my experience at Loco Cycle! It was the best cycling class I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Incredible staff, awesome instructor, fun music, and a workout that keeps you engaged and kicks your butt. I would be here all the time… if I didn’t work or have school ALL the hours that they held classes :( Add more classes PLEASE!

I started coming here with my sister because she lives in the area and we work out together frequently. I loved it so much I started coming every week with her. It slowly turned into our addiction. I was worried coming in because I wasn’t in the best shape and I know how cycle studios can be(intimidating) but I found this place to be so friendly and welcoming. Also, almost every single instructor I have taken is amazing which I feel is rare to find that many awesome instructors. I have taken class with a loved Karen, Tiffany L, Rachel, Lauren, Ana Rita, and Eleanor. They always play great music and are so motivating. I drive 4x a week all the way from Orange just to workout here so I think that says something!

Went for my first time yesterday because a friend of mine is a member and highly recommended them. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous going into the class and a first time cycler. But with Eleanor, it was so fun and a good sweaty time. I already have my next cycle class booked on Saturday. Coming all the way from Brea, but it’s totally worth it!

This place is cool. I have been to spin classes before at 24 hour fitness and was always left extremely unimpressed and thinking I could have had a better workout on my own. My girlfriend and her sister have been going to Loco for a couple of weeks and every time I see my girlfriend after a class she is drenched in sweat. We’ve been together for four years and I have never seen her as fatigued as she is after a Loco Cycle class! The instructors are awesome. Perfect combination of fun and hard working — they will push you, which is a good thing if you are serious about improving. The cycle studio is like a club. There are lights and you move to the beat of the music. The room is also heated and they provide you with these awesome smelling towels to use after your class(which you will need — you will be drenched in sweat) I can only come on weekends because I work out of the area, but I signed up for another 10 classes immediately after my first class(which they give out for free). I have a feeling you might do the same if you give it a try. Highly recommend!!!

Allo from uncoordinated girl on bike 19! My story is that I’m a full time professional who did a ton of ballet in my childhood and teenage years(hence I spring in my toes and bounce – Mkay). In adulthood, I decided being overweight was the scariest thing ever. So I raced marathons, half marathons, 10ks, kick boxing… Blah blah… #burntout #On working out! At any rate, pushing 40 … I needed something new. Enter LocoCycle. I know the owner is a professionally known fitness guru. She has dance moves that I never had as a dancer of ballet and jazz. But I am a huge huge music fan especially of hiphop so I learn as best I can. And looooooove a great challenge. For those who are physio nerds dialed into your heart rate, etc. this class pushes Vo2max like no other. Monica’s class is amazing and just going at her pace(or as best I can) on the highest tension possible my heart rate is like 175. I can barely keep up with her and that’s ok because I love challenge And to be challenged. Whitney is super encouraging and a fantastic teacher and Karen is caring and gives me a my foundation. Between these amazing instructors I hope to be a loco pro. But I’m challenged at this stuff … So it’s a good challenge for me. Check it: When my resting heart rate is only 50 and no other workout pushes me – trust me it works. A month in and I have dropped a pant size. This was an unintended benefit. A size four is swimming on me. Can’t wait for bathing suit season! Pros: Mad crazy vo2max Burn fat Drop clothing sizes Arm workout while in the bike! Tone everywhere Reserve a spot– no 24 hour fitness mad dash for a cycle seat Cons: A little scary If you are tired, coordination keep up sucks Monica will school your ass(saying in jest; love how she pushes me) Hot in the room Overall: Thank you Loco! Update: clothes falling off — this was not expected! If you push hard in this class you will lose inches! Monica taught me to fix my form and my ass is melting Pay attention fluffy peeps!

I use to LOVE this studio and class until I accidentally stumbled upon the most awful instructor I have ever experienced. I love Karen who is so positive and uplifting, but the instructor I went to was deflating, not encouraging and had the audacity to curse at the students in class. There were 3 of us and all of us felt it which is disappointing when you go to a 545am class. You need motivation and positive attitude. I will say that lococycle is a good place and I was a loyal to this studio and told my family and friends about it, but now I don’t ever think I could step foot into that studio again. I was just told by another friend that this happened in a class today as well with the same instructor, what a shame for such a great concept and idea to fall flat due to poor instructors. I would visit Soulcycle or Grit cycle over this place even though I live across the street from it.

I remember driving by one day and seeing them putting up the sign and I am like, YES! FINALLY! This place is amazing! From the staff, location, instructors and Monica & Chuck, I am proud to say that I am Loco! I finished 3 years of chemotherapy and needed to build back my strength & stamina and thought that cycling/spinning would be the way to go. I also have balance issues due to chronic neuropathy(numbness) in my legs & feet and required something that was stationery. Loco Cycle has given me back my strength and stamina x1000! It is low impact and high intensity, which is amazing! The music just gets you moving on that bike! It’s just loco awesome! And don’t think that you can’t do this — you can! I did and continue to so consider getting ‘Loco’!!! Monica & Chuck has brought something very unique & special to RSM/South County and I so very thankful that I have experienced this and continue to! So get on down to Loco — your first class is free! Yes — free! Bring your friends — make it a loco party ride! You won’t be disappointed!

This is not your typical review!!! You think I’m going to rave about the heart pumping amazing classes with energy and expertise tied into every movement. You think I’m going to tell you about the encouraging instructors who are clearly the BEST at what they do. No, there is more. I just had a simple misunderstanding happen with my account($) and the OWNER is well into this evening(it’s nearly midnight) going above and beyond to resolve my minor issue. Now, I don’t know about you as a consumer. But I appreciate when a business is HONEST and AUTHENTIC. Beyond the wonderful workout these other reviews will highlight and the progress you will no doubt make under this team, this place has definitely met an exceeded everything they stand for– progress with intentionality. Thank you, Monica, for giving 100% to all you do!

I work at a similar indoor, beat-centered spin studio in Austin, TX and I have to say that Loco totally holds up to standards. The studio is clean and well prepped with towels and weights, the bathrooms are exceptionally nice, and the shoes are well maintained. I’ve really enjoyed taking Whitney’s class in particular: high energy, great music, and a really good attitude! She doesn’t yell at you or single you out, but she praises and motivates! My one dislike of Loco has to do with the heated room, although that is the way they have set up their classes so really it’s not my place to complain. I just feel like the heat does nothing to enhance your actual workout other than make your face extremely hot. But, again, that’s just their style so I go with it!

$ 300 a month is insane especially for this tiny studio. I’d rather fork that money over to equinox. I could also buy the best bike on the market for that rate with a personal trainer. I only did the free class. I enjoy spinning but not with silly erratic nauseating choreography. The owner, Monica, was waaaaay too hyper on pre-workout or something. She was constantly telling me to pay attention, which was very rude. I heard my name being called out way too many times and not followed by encouraging words. Maybe if we weren’t spinning in the dark I could see you! Sheesh! I’m a runner and run full marathons, so nothing is too challenging for me. However it was definitely nauseating with the constant head whips. Not for me.

This is my second week at Lococycle and I’m HOOKED! The energy is insane and I can’t believe the amount I sweat! I feel super energized after and my skin actually looks and feels 100 times better! The bikes are awesome, clean and comfortable. The staff is really helpful(especially if you are new and have no idea what you are doing!). They offer apparel and shoes too. The cold eucalyptus towel at the end is amazingly refreshing. I’ve taken class from three different instructors so far and each are equally challenging and rewarding with energy and routines unique to themselves. No two classes are the same so it keeps me interested and not knowing what to expect! I can say that I’m addicted to Lococycle without a doubt!

I love to cycle outdoors, when I bring it indoors it must be fun & challenging. This place is the best I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Great music, challenging, love the instructors. & it’s a really clean place. If you think spin is hard & boring try LocoCycle. It’s the hardest but fastest 45 minutes of my day, it’s fun & I enjoy it. It’s like a party but your working those calories off!

I remember back in the summer of 2014, I posted a video of a hip hop cycling class on facebook, commenting on how cool it was and how I wish there was one near by. In the next hour, Monica Gray commented on my video, saying«wait till 2015!» I waited, and she delivered. I love it here. I’ve been trying to get back in shape for a while, but finding a cardio exercise that I didn’t completely dread hindered my weight loss. Enter Chuck and Monica. They created this studio with so much thought and love, and it shows. Every instructor is amazing, and I’m not just saying that. I’ve tried every single one, and they are all incredible and have their own unique style, so no two classes are ever the same. They’re always patient for those who are starting for the first time, yet passionate enough to push those who have become regulars to spin classes. The studio is hot, so if that sounds like an issue, tell the instructor before hand, and try to avoid the bikes in the front to the sides(bikes 9 – 12 and 14 – 17 I believe). Bring water, socks(they provide shoes), and a good attitude! :)
