I’m from out of town and got a slash in my tire on a ride. I stopped in the shop and they were awesome about fixing my bike right away. I’ll be back

I was staying at a nearby resort while on vacation and rented a great bike from Ranch. I’m a competitive cyclist and based on a recommendation, I called them prior to my vacation and spoke with Casey who informed me that they had a variety of high-​end bikes and I followed up with an email containing my measurements.
Day of rental I showed up and worked with Mario who had bike with my measurements ready to go. A quick test ride and a minor adjustment along with my credit card swipe and I was ready to go. The Eddie Merckx EMX-​5 rental worked well as I put in nearly 100 miles in the day I had it. Quite a lovely bike — one of the smoothest rides I have ever been on and it came equipped with a saddle bag containing an extra tube and CO2 in case I had a flat. Mario said that if I had any trouble to call him and he would come get me.
Nice upscale bike shop with some really nice Pinarello’s, BMC’s, and other bikes.

One of the few shops who sell Assos apparel as well as Pinarello. I was very happy with their expertise and recommendations.

Had a tire mishap that was not repairable on the roadside while on a RSF ride. Thought I was stuck calling the wife then remembered there was a shop about a mile away. So after 10 mniutes slowly out of the saddle I arrived at the shop.
Thought I woild get the typical cycle snob treatement when I saw the shop was stocked with «nothing under $ 10K «bikes. But how wrong I was when the mechanic had my bike on the stand with decent tire /​tube combo for $ 35.00 bucks out he door ! All done with a smile !

Very friendly and the service was super excellent. Rusty serviced my bike and probably the best mechanic/​sales person I’ve had the pleasure to meet at any local bike shops. Casey, the owner was very courteous and helpful as well. While my bike was being serviced, a couple of people came in from their rides with minor bike issues. Rusty and Casey took the time to look at their bikes. I don’t see this kind of customer service at other LBS. They strive to turn around most services within 24-​hr so if you don’t want to leave your bike at the shop for a week or longer, give them a try. They have a large inventory of BMC, Pinarello and Eddy Merckx bikes. Overall, my experience at Ranch Cycles was very pleasant and I highly recommend stopping by the store to check them out. ⁹⁄₁₁ If your looking for clean bike shop focused on selling custom built road bikes «only» not bike services than your in luck this place is perfect. One of the things the San Diego North County area is missing is a first class bike service department. With a little more focus this place will be 5 stars. ¹⁰⁄₁₁ After writing my first review I returned for two tune-​ups and complete cable replacement. Boy this place has made a 360 in the service area. Keep up the customer service.
