This place has a great gyro topped with the best garlic sauce, I would definitely recommend this place…

My brother and I decided to try this spot out. I’m a fan of Mediterranean food and thought I’d give it a try. First off the person who took our order looked like he didn’t know what he was doing and after I ordered my meal he forgot to give me my drink. It took me quite awhile for my food to be ready. Upon taste, it was sub-par. Kind of bland and the hummus wasn’t good. Pita bread was nice and warm though. My brother ordered the cheese burger and feta cheese fries. His order was ready by the time I finished my meal. His burger came out somewhat cold like it was left out for awhile and there was no feta cheese on his fries. DEFINITELY not coming back here.

Hummus was good. Falafel was delicious. They took great care in the chicken kabob wrap as well. The main negative was that the order took 30 minutes and they weren’t that busy and I only received part of my order. I mean this is a food court I thought it would be quicker. They apologized which stopped me from giving them 3 stars.

8pm on a Saturday night, finally wanted to try this little Mediterranean snackshop out with a feta cheese wrap. Pita, veggies and feta cheese… and wrap it. Guy said they’ll be right with me, then another young guy comes and says«we’re not taking orders anymore», no apology, just that. Wasn’t able to try it, and I never will.

I was surprised to see a lot of negative reviews… they must have revamped since, lucky for us! The beef shwarma was good, the chicken(sample only) was good too but the burger(yes, the burger!) was AMAZING. One of the employees said they use the same spice blend for some other beef items too. The drinks came with refills, the service was fantastic and we are looking forward to trying other items. It’s nice to see a healthy option amid the typical greasy, salty, deep fried offerings!

So I’ve been going to this place for about 2 or 3 months now and their food is consistently great! The service is always good too! Best thing is that it’s right next to panda so it’s not usually too busy #noline! It is relatively inexpensive, extremely healthy, and always tasty! Baklava is amazing!!!

Amazing service and great good love their gyro plate. Very friendly and really engage with me. They also set great expectations and position to me the timing of when my food will be ready. Greatest place in the food court. Must try gyro plate.

Literally just walked away from the place after the manager cussed me out. He was extremely rude and gave me a guilt trip about how busy he was AFTER cussing me out. Beware he said he doesn’t give a F*** about customers. Save your time and money.

I was at the Victoria Gardens food court for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a halal restaurant. They offer gyro, shawarma and kobideh kabobs. You can get a wrap or a platter. They also had a cheeseburger which I decided to try. It had a good sized patty and was made fresh. The french fries were made from freshly cut potatoes and had a feta cheese topping. They are a little pricey. My burger, fries and drink was $ 13. But everything was fresh and tasted great. I will go back again. I believe they are under new management. The cashier stated the menu had just been updated.

Excellent beef gyro! I was impressed with the quality, especially for being mall court food. You do have to wait, and wait, and wait some more but they make your food fresh and it’s worth it! Very nice people too:)

Sitting here waiting for my food at 12:25pm on 11/04/2015. Girl said my food would take 10 min max. It’s been 25 min so far. Now I’m late for work. Not the place to go when you’re in a hurry. Edit: ordered the beef plate small sized for 8.99. Plate included rice, one strip of beef, a tomato, and salad. The beef was soggy and unappetizing, salad bland, tomato was okay, and rice was dry. Not worth the 25 min wait. Next time I’ll just head to Panda Express next door.

Always have a good experience at Mr Chef. Last time I had a Greek salad with gyro meat on the side. I saw the guy cutting up the tomatoes and cucumber, guaranteed freshness. Not your typical food court stop, much better! The name is misleading, clearly nothing to do with Mediterranean cuisine. Agree with others that the prices are on the higher end.

This place was so fresh and delicious! I had the falafel salad and chicken gyro. Both were equally satisfying. I will definitely be coming back!

The food here is always made fresh so you might have to wait a little bit but it’s all worth it. I ordered the koobideh plate the Koobideh, rice, salad and hummus all so yummy. I love that they prepare everything fresh.

I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. I wanted to make it a combo, but their menu doesn’t match what is available. So, that was unpleasant. The wait time to have the food ready was 10+ minutes. When it was finally done, the worker rang a bell to let me know it was ready. Pavlov’s experiment is in effect, I guess. Why tell me my order number but ring the bell when the food is ready? It’s a bit rude. The wrap was a decent size, but it looked and tasted like a chicken Caesar wrap. It didn’t taste true to its culture.

Came across Mr. Chef while visiting Victoria Gardens during a lunch break. They are conveniently located in the Food Hall, where there are a lot of food selections including Panda Express, Great Khan’s, Alberto’s and Hot Dog on a Stick. Now, I really wish I had chosen one of the other places to buy lunch. What originally drew me to Mr. Chef was that it was a lot different from the surround food places, and the pictures on their menu looked pretty good. However, that’s were the compliments stop with me. Like the previous Unilocalers before me had mentioned, their service is slow. I ordered the Chicken Kabob wrap and it took ~25 minutes to cook. Now, I’m all about waiting for high quality food; however, when in a food court, the mentality is to get some quick grub, and then get on with your day. This was not the case with Mr. Chef. The other thing was that the wrap itself had hardly any flavor at all. I am a big fan of Mediterranean food, and try to eat it as often as I can. However, this wrap was lacking so much flavor, it was ridiculous. With the time spent to make the wrap, you would have thought that they could have flavored it better. The only thing going for it was that it tasted«healthy,» which is what I kept telling myself while I was painfully eating it. Bottom line: Don’t waste your money(and time) with Mr. Chef, when you can get a better meal at one of the other food stops(which I wished I had gotten). I would give this place 1.5 stars(1 star would be too cruel because at least the food was somewhat edible), so I rounded up to 2 stars. But I would definitely NOT come back to Mr. Chef.

I love Mediterranean food and was hoping to have a great experience, unfortunately, it was far from that. When I arrived, a man was complaining about how long it was taking to get his food. I thought he was being rude, so I told him that patience was key. I was going to order the beef shawarma, but they said they were out. I thought not having this was a bit neglectful on their part, considering how popular the item is. I ended up ordering the gyro plate. And then came the wait. I then took my daughter to Hot Dog on a Stick, her order came about five minutes later, and she ate her food, and my food was still not finished. In fact, the man that was complaining when I had got there still didn’t have his food and he was starting to get upset again. While I thought his attitude towards the workers was wrong, they were definitely taking too long to get food out. It ended up taking about 30 – 35 minutes to get my food. I was disappointed with the food when it came. Half of the whole plate is salad that had way too many red onions on top with a lackluster dressing. I could hardly eat the salad. It came with one pita bread, and surprisingly, no hummus, and the meat and rice was ok at best, and the small portion size for a 10 dollar plate(not counting the drink) didn’t help. Overall, I tried to like this place since I love this type of food, but the price didn’t justify the food for me. Additionally, the wait time is abysmal, with many other customers I saw waiting too long for their food and one group even leaving because it took more than 10 minutes to even get their order taken. Ultimately, this restaurant isn’t meant to be in a food court, and even then, their food doesn’t hold up to a place like Mezzaterranean.

2.5 Stars My husband and I ate here for dinner last night. I’ve actually never ate at Victoria Garden’s Food Hall and decided on Mr. Chef. I love Mediterranean food. We ordered 1 Beef Shawarma Wrap, 1 Chicken Shawarma Wrap and 2 small drinks. Our total came out to approximately $ 21.00. The 2 small drinks are really overpriced since they are kid sized drinks and full of ice. I had the Raspberry Ice Tea and thought it tasted weird. I think the syrup needed to be refilled. The girl who took our order was nice, however it was a long wait time for our food. My husband enjoyed his beef and said that the flavors were good. However, I was disappointed with my chicken wrap. It was bland and the lettuce inside was on the verge of being frozen. There was also a huge piece of lettuce in my wrap(the tough center part) that I had to take out. I also wasn’t too fond of the sauce and actually didn’t finish my wrap and gave half of it to my husband. Overall, mixed reviews. My husband said he would get the beef shawarma wrap again, however I don’t think I would return. I’d probably just go to Panda Express next door. :( Check out @Rancho_Cucamonga_Eats on Instagram. 183⁄100 Reviews for 2014
