South Beach Grill

We love their tacos. I had carnitas and hubby had carne asada and they were both delicious and had different sauces. The rice is just how I like it and not filled up with irrelevant veggies. I might say the fluffiest and besides a good cilantro lime rice, one of the best I’ve had. The bowl of beans were also very good and not filled up with flavors I didn’t need. EXCELLENT food and the restaurant was spotless clean!

We ordered carne asada fries and a 3 slider combo. The fries were good but the SBG slider was delicious! Very friendly staff, great food along with reasonable prices. I’m definitely coming come!

The perfect collision of quality American and Mexican food, fairly priced and wonderful service.

I have tried their tacos, burgers, and sliders. Each of which could be a staple for any restaurant.
Tacos: Tasty as all heck. Reminds me of a great tasty street taco. The tortilla to meat ratio is spot on and their salsa compliments it very well.
Burgers: Great meat! Yet, their warm and soft buns is where they get me. Buns should never be overlooked!!!
Slider: Cute little sliders that will warm your heart on cold rainy days.

The service alone was 5 stars… warm, friendly and above and beyond family friendly!!! I was surprised to find the hamburgers as wonderful as the service! I highly encourage locals to come and support this place!

Fun atmosphere, love the décor and music. Food was great, staff were very friendly. We had a burger, street tacos, Carne Asada fries… all were delicious.

I had the South Beach sliders with Bleu Cheese!!! AWESOME!!! 2 sliders, fries and a drink for $ 4.99, you cant beat that anywhere! I’m looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu. Also, the service is AMAZING!!! Everyone was really friendly, helpful and customer service oriented. I will definitely be back and will bring the work crew too.

This place is adorable. The décor is great to look at and be a part of, and the building is very clean! The employees are kind and willing to offer help at any moment as well as prepared to provide constant service.
I had the south beach bacon burger and my boyfriend had a carnitas burrito. The burrito was basically the size of my leg (kidding, more like 10″ or so) and he loved it, it was so big he couldn’t finish it all.
The burger came with fries and a drink, which is great for the price, somewhere around $ 10. I couldn’t find the bacon for a second but I realized the burger itself was sort of crusted in it, it was delicious and I’m very full.
All in all I’m very pleased and can’t wait to come back some time :) keep smiling! The smiles make me so happy!

Understand, please, that this is a five star rating for the category… a grill. South Beach a grill is not a five star restaurant. You will not find white linen, crystal and silver. You will find spotless, charming, colorful retro décor, attentive service, and excellent diner style food.
We stopped here on our way from the valley to Lake Tahoe. It was nearly empty… I hope that this becomes unusual. It was great for us, as we got our food quickly and were back on the road, but we really hope this business makes it.
Hubby had the bacon burger and I opted for carne asada street tacos. Both were very good and prepared the way we asked. Chatting with the owner, he comes from Guadalajara… hence the excellent Mexican fare. He paid attention to his mom’s cooking! The burgers are the California fusion. Great combo. They work hard to make sure their customers are happy.
Stop by… you won’t be disappointed.

Varied menu, owner seems very concerned with quality and customer service. Some Gluten free, carne asada is a quality cut. Skirt Steak and the hamburgers are Ground Chuck.

The food wasn’t terrible, but for how much I paid for my husband and I to get burgers fries and a drink is ridiculous. The burger patty is pretty thin, the fries weren’t hot they were barely warm and the ranch was from the bottle, the combos were 12.99 each plus an extra $ 2 for onion rings instead of fries for my order, I definitely won’t be back, Sacramento has to many great burger joints.

Quick update — I’ve been back a few times now and am happy to report that neither the service or the food quality have dipped.
Do yourself a favor and try the South Beach Bacon Burger!

The burgers here are good, 6 out of 10 I would say. If you ordered bacon, it’ll be mixed in with the patty like bacon bits. Comes with those thick fries… not a fan of it.
The tacos here are actually really good! I give it 9 out of 10! They make it fresh and it takes a while to get your order (15min) but its FRESH! I have a 30 minute lunch so i always order before hand. Oh and Tuesdays are dollar tacos! Untz untz!

Stopped by on date night. Thankfully they were still open. We sampled carnitas, carne asada and chicken tacos as well as the Mimi burger. The burger was outstanding. The tacos were flavorful and authentic, especially the carnitas. Carols and Carolina were friendly and gracious. Don’t be fooled by the location, this is a great place to eat, laugh and enjoy life.

Come on, Rancho Cordova… let’s make this place a success!
Went in tonight because we’ve been looking for a new taco place that doesn’t charge $ 3 for a taco.
I had the Mimi’s burger — it was perfect! Chargrilled exactly how I wanted it with bacon and fresh avocado. It was delicious!
My husband had the carnitas taco plate with two carne asada tacos a la carte. All were delicious! The carne asada was especially good, lean and seasoned well with a great grilled flavor. (Plus, the carne asada tacos are only $ 1.75 each a la carte, super inexpensive!)
We got all of this food for $ 23, with tax and drinks and everything. They have $ 1 tacos on Tuesdays and we will definitely be back to try them all.
The food was great but the very best thing is the service. The cute blonde girl who took our order also brought our food, came by a few times to make sure we had what we needed, and was just generally helpful and friendly to everyone. Very nice atmosphere.
So, excellent service, friendly staff, great food, lots of drink choices (including four beers on tap, if you’re into that) — all around great. Give them a try! We really enjoyed it.

Had a south beach burger and have to say it was one of the better burgers I have had in recent memory.

First time here since they are a new business.
They offer delicious burgers made with 100% ground chuck and tacos with chicken, carnitas or carne asada made with skirt steak.
I had the South Beach Burger which they put on a fresh, sweet bun. Fries are good too.
They have beer on tap and a simple Coke soda fountain.
The ladies here are friendly, bright smiles and good looking to boot!
Definitely will be back.
