Hot Dog Stand

You can’t go wrong with this small, private hot dog stand. Friend;y, fresh, and fast– a winner all around!

They are a little pricey. but I don’t mind spending the extra money for my coffee here because it is WAY better than Starbucks!

I wanted to start a Unilocal entry for the little hot dog/​snack stand at the Home Depot on Sunrise in Rancho Cordova. I’m a hot dog affectionado and search for the best ones wherever I go.
This little snack stand is run by a nice lady and her family. It’s right outside the HD but I think it’s an independent consession.
I always get the Jumbo Hot Link. For $ 5 you get that and a fountain soda. They sell Schwartz brand sausages — made in the bay area and simply the best.
The dogs are always fresh and fabulous. Buns are also fresh — not traditional dog buns but more like a french roll. Really great. I love the spicy, garlicy goodness with the required snappy casings. They also have regular dogs, kids sizes, etc.
These little stands are quickly going away due to the recession. They rely on HD customers for all their business. So please support this little gem. They have all the fru-​fru coffees, smoothies, muffins, etc. for those who are not into tube steaks like me.
Amended 3.19.13 — Alas, nothing stays good forever. The nice lady that owns this little stand at Home Depot seems to be losing steam. The stand is inconsistently open, is getting tacky and worst of all, no longer carries my signature Hot Links. Too bad but the search for sausage goes on…
