Houlihan’s

Let me start off by saying that I have gone to Houlihan’s several times in my life done and I absolutely love that place I am addicted to their shrooms. Well I don’t know what happen when I went but it was a horrible experience it took us a while to order I will say but when we finally did we waited a while for our appetizers, they finally came out and we ate them I told the waitress while we were eating to go ahead and bring out the entrées in which I had a salad and my girlfriend had a salad as well. 30 minutes go by and still no salad we found the waitress again and told her that to wrap up my friends salad and get her a dessert and bring out my salad. We waited another 15 minutes they finally brought out The salads both wrapped up to go. By the way I had got the ahi tuna salad and ask them to slightly sear each side of the Tuna when I looked into the to go bag and saw the tuna was overcooked and very tough. The waitress kept saying over and over again that they comped our salads I gave her back my salad and said this is disgusting the tuna is over-​cooked. So what exactly did I get for free a salad that I did not take home my girlfriend did get her salad comped and took it home I will go back and see Houlihan’s again but definitely not the one on Route 17you

The food is GOOD but always seems to be room temp or cooler. And it is not cheap, we had 3 of us and the bill was 140.00 plus tip and it was cold. The service and staff are fantastic. And my dads manhattan was sooooo small and not cheap. They could really fill up the martini glass for the price

A friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch of BBQ salmon and salad. Although the salmon was cooked a bit more than I prefer, it was tasty and not dry. The light roll accompanying it was delicious. A free appetizer for checking in with Unilocal was very nice We split the chicken spicy egg roll. The manager stopped by to make sure all was well and the waitress was sweet. I’ll be back.

Very comfortable atmosphere! The service is great the drinks fantastic and the waitress Eileen is outstanding!!! The food is amazing had the mini burgers and arugula mushroom flatbread very yummy! The Kansas City burger is amazing best burger I’ve tasted yet!!! Kudos to Houlihans!

GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD… Aileen our waitress was friendly… informative and AWESOME… service with a smile… and the new. Kanas city burger… mouthwatering yummy. i didn’t have the fries instead i had the House salad… mmmmmmmm…I highly recommend this location…

Food was good especially the calamari. Drinks reasonably priced.
Lighting to low. Not bad over all.

Not bad! Had the sirloin steak. Baked potato. typical dinner.pretty darn good. Calamari was excellent. I will go again if I’m back here.

Service was nice, very helpful and attentive. This location is extremely busy so count on waiting for a table especially on weekend nights but they do offer call ahead seating which really comes in handy. The décor is dark but very modern and as you can expect, a bit loud since they are very busy. Plenty of parking so you don’t have to worry this portion of your visit.
I had the French onion soup which was nice, not too salty with plenty of cheese but it wasn’t as hot as you would like but still very good. We tried the appetizer sampler which included stuffed mushrooms, potatoe skins, buffalo wings for 3. It wasn’t something that I would call a signature moment but does fill your belly.
I had the 16 oz prime rib which was grilled giving it another level of flavor but it was served warm not hot so a bit disappointed. My wife had the shrimp which she said was over cooked which is why the 3 stars. I will try one more time to give them another opportunity to see if we just visited during a bad night.

It’s a large menu that hits all the highlights of a typical American restaurant executed well. Flat bread pizza, sliders, stffed ‘shrooms, & wings as appetizers are always winners. I miss their steamed dumplings and cold sesame noodles and wish they woukd bring them back. I could make meal out of those!
The burgers without the bun with California mashers is always a winner for the health conscious as well as the scallops. The French Dip without half the roll with steamed veggies is also a winner. Beware the salads other than the side salad as, even though they are tasty, they are so calorie laden, they will kill any diet stealthily like a ninja.
The desserts could feed a family of four portion-​wise, so you can definitely get away with splitting them, especially the tasty capuccino cake.
Service is great the number of times I went there and the kitchen is faster than the Paramus location. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Came with a group of coworker’s for lunch — can’t say anything particularly stood out to me. Our server was attentive enough, though seemed oddly stressed for a really slow lunch shift. Ordered a spinach salad with salmon, which was tasty enough with spinach, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries and pistachios. There wasn’t a big difference in the lunch portion prices vs. the full sized dishes so I go the full size but the lunch portion probably would have been plenty as I couldn’t finish the salad.
I have been meaning to visit to see how the bar is but I have no dying urge to go try the food again.

This location is a great place in the summer afternoons the outdoor seating is great and the drink menu is extensive food is always cooked to perfection.

Disappointed that at 11:50 when I walked in on a Saturday after calling there was no service. The doors were unlocked and staff/​cleaners with mops but no one even acknowledged I was in the building.
It is lost business if there supposed to be open, maybe they forgot to lock the doors. Who did I talk to then? Not a good place for a late beer.
