Local favorite! Grew up in Ramona and love going here to catch up with old friends and enjoy the view. I really like the sangria! It’s delicious. Everyone is really friendly and helpful! I recommend it!

Started out as a great experience. Great location, owners appeared friendly, and the sangria was delicious. One of the owners, Ian, mentioned the price for a growler of sangria and offered me the growler for free if we agreed to the price to fill it. I told him I’d think about it. My wife and I enjoyed our drinks and closed out with the other owner, Barbara. We wanted to get the growler, so I mentioned the conversation between Ian and I, and she looked at me like I was trying to rip her off. Ian was of course nowhere to be found. She told me I was mistaken and had to pay for the growler. I of course mentioned it was«my mistake» and closed out. Could have been a great experience but the owners seemed more chatty and less genuine. Also, it’s pretty awkward when one offers you a deal and the other retracts. There are plenty of other locations for good sangria.

Pretty view from the outdoor patio and bar where the tasting area overlooks. We did the premium red wine tasting for $ 10(4 different wines). It’s important to note they blend and purchase grapes from other areas of the valley or around the state(i.e. not estate grown). For more refined palettes like ours, this was by far our most disappointing stop on our weekend jaunt through the Ramona wine region. Acidic, vinegary and just an offensive aftertaste. Not for us — maybe the other blends featured on the other side of the menu would have been better. It was a fast hi-and-bye. Service we got was not warm or friendly, perhaps it was just an off day for the person who served us — others around us seemed to have a much better experience with the owner(?) or manager who was serving them. Definitely will come back to Ramona but not for this vineyard.

Fantastic winery near downtown Ramona. Well marked & easy to find. Few whites with several reds — typical for the region. This winery is yet another reason for San Diegans to stay local vice head to Temecula. Very well done — all wines were well made. Sangiovese in particular stood out among the Reds.

Came here on our first wine tasting trip in Ramona — great location with beautiful views. We did not do the full tasting as I am a sucker for Sangria and it was delicious(I highly recommend it). The staff was great — super friendly and helpful! We also loved that the patio was dog friendly and that we could bring in our own snacks. We’ll definitely be back!

I love this place. Hands down our favorite stop after two full days of wine tasting in the Ramona countryside. The owners take pride in their wine and their property. Customer service is top notch. The sangria is some of the best I’ve ever had — we’re even considering joining the winery(which is an hour away), simply for that!

My most favorite thing to do is drive up to Ramona, sit on Laurie and Ian’s patio, and pretend the view is just for me. :) Sitting and sipping local wine from these two, best day ever.

New a wine club! They believe in lower sulfite and are so nice and friendly. They have a beautiful deck and porch overlooking the valley. Ramona vineyards are up and coming and I love it! Ttr is a gem!

This was a great find in Ramona, perfect for sitting back and relaxing with a glass of Cab Franc. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful and the premium wine tastings were… well, tasty. I wish I could’ve tried the Gewürztraminer but they were out that day. We brought our own cheese and crackers and we weren’t the only ones with that good idea We would go back.

Ramona has started to become the wine country of San Diego and this place is at the top of my list! You can do a wine tasting or just enjoy a refreshing glass. It is situated at on the side of a hill and offers some beautiful views and spectacular sunsets. You can bring your own snacks and sit out on the patio. Be sure to try their sangria, it’s to die for!

This place is fantastic! I was passing through on my regular weekend trip to Ramona and stopped by without checking any reviews. Boy was I surprised at the gorgeous ambiance, friendly owners, and absolutely incredible wine. It will be a regular weekend stop for me. I did the tasting and there wasn’t a single red I didn’t like. Even the full bodied cab was extremely smooth, and on a hot day their Zin infused with berries was absolutely to die for. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone that comes to town.

This is about the best San Diego has to offer in the way of wineries. Really beautiful place with a great ambiance. I do have a couple of complaints. They only offer six wines on their tasting list but for ten dollars, you get to taste five of them? We really liked two of the wines and bought five bottles, to the tune of about $ 150.00 but our one wine tasting fee was not waived or refunded. Any winery that I have ever been to waived the tasting fee with ONE bottle. The other thing that bugged me was that our server recited exactly what was written in the tasting notes of the wine list. I can read, which is why I picked those five. She did let me taste the sixth when I told her I was buying five bottles. But I shouldn’t have had to ask. The experience made me want to drive to Santa Barbara and parts north more than to come back.

The wines here were hit or miss. They had some really good wines and some that I actually had to pour out. Great view and really nice tasting patio, but the inconsistent wines makes me question if I would go back. Turtle Rock was recommended by one of the other local Ramona wineries which we are members of. It was very surprising that one of the Turtle Rock sommeliers was bad-mouthing the winery that recommended them. Poor taste and business model if you ask me. In a small wine region like Ramona, you should do your best to help neighboring local businesses instead of saying negative things about them. It was a real turn off…

This winery has a phenomenal view, and delicious wine! I hosted a Porsche Club event here just this weekend, and Ian and Laurie were fantastic! They had it all catered at a reasonable price, and took great care of us, giving us tours of their wine cave. The sangria is amazing, and the G wine(Gerwertstermiener) is fantastic as well! Don’t miss out on this fantastic winery, if you are in the area, definitely check it out!

Lovely winery! I was here a few months ago and am just getting around to leaving my review! I came with my girlfriend who is a fellow wine lover, and we love it! The view is, in my opinion, one of the best ones we’ve seen in the area. The lady who helped us was very pleasant. This seems a bit larger, and had a nice sitting area outside. We each had a little flight of samples, and a truffle to nibble on! I liked the location of this place because my friend and I have a little route down, and this is kind of our last stop! I can’t say much about the wine because I honestly just enjoy anything mellow, light, sweet, so I was happy with their selection :) It can be VERY cold during Winter, and windy, so go during great weather. Not sure if they give out blankets like Grant James, but worth a visit regardless!

Wonderful views and a great atmosphere. The staff is very kind and is very knowledgable. The winery has a grill and large table area to bring in your on food. The sangria from the sin is great. The only dislike would have been the tempranillo wine as it taste pretty bad BUT as the server did say, you either love it or hate it. The two dogs are so cute!
