Prices are good and the employees are friendly, except when they are sweeping down the isles and forget to say«excuse me.» Early morning and late evening are the best times to shop if you don’t like crowds. And a self checkout would be nice because the people in the 15 items or less lane clearly can not count.

Great supermarket! The prices are amazing… I forget how good they are until I go to another grocery store. They have a really great selection and a lot of weekly specials… just today bought an 8 pack of 20 oz Gatorade for only $ 3.99 — no loyalty card required. I really like that they carry Fit for Life breads, fresh… it can be hard to find. This store can get really crowded on the weekends, particularly in the afternoon. Parking lot is kind of a pain but you get used to it. If you like Stater Bros but not the crowds here(I’ve heard it’s the busiest SB around), try the Poway location.

This is our go to market in town. Their meat counter has good selection at hood prices. The check out lines arent generally long. The employees are friendly. The drli is good and has one of those yummy soda machines you can add flavors to. You know im a soda freak. The deli counter can be crowded and ypu have to purhase the cup before getting your sida so often i skip this treat. We got the fried chivken in large quantities for our wedding reception. Hot and ready on time at a great price. Think of them next time you need catering! Add you own beans from costco, rollls and a salad and BAM! Wonder meal for the masses at a fraction of a catering company fee! Parking can be congested at busy times. Julie is a great employee as is Greta the checker. Love our neighborhood market. Just don’t plan on going without seeing someone you know at least every other aisle.

I shop here regularly. The shelves are always well stocked and the prices are reasonable. The meat department is great. Good meat, quick service and fair prices. The produce department is also top notch. The bakery department has a few issues when asked for special orders. I used to come in and ask for the Irish Soda Bread without the sugar on the outside and sliced. When I came back the next day, first time was perfect. Second time, it was sliced but had the sugar coating. The next time, they hadn’t done it at all, so handed me a ball of raw dough with cooking instructions for free. I went home, cooked it and realized how easy it is to make at home and what a wonderful smell it has while baking. I now make my own. I do wish that more of the cashiers would smile more often. Trust me, I am no happier at shopping than they are at ringing up my total, but I still smile.
* * *Update July 20* * * I was having Sunday dinner at my house this week and decided on hot chicken tenders. They only had 8 and I needed 10. The ones that they had looked terrible and dried out. I asked when they would be making some fresh ones and was told«they are fresh». I left and went to «the other grocery place» instead. Theirs looked pretty good, so I asked for 10. The lady behind the counter OFFERED to fix me some fresh hot ones if I was still shopping and could wait 8 minutes. I definitely wont be buying hot foods here any more.

favorite parts of the store for me; deli, being able to recycle plastic bags there, and the discount item table in the back left of the store.

Shopping in this store recently for the first time(as a visitor to the area), I began longing for similar grocery stores in my area of residence(Minnesota). How I wish, sometimes, that my local grocery stores were permitted to sell wine… This store had a decent selection of varying qualities of wine. And, if you buy 4 bottles of any wine, you save 30%! Way to go, «Statler Bros.»(as I jokingly call it)!

This is our«go-to» grocery store — even though it is a 35 – 45 minute drive away. Living in the mountains you want to go to a place you can meet pretty well all your shopping needs in one place. We rarely have to go somewhere else to meet those needs. All-in-one-place shopping: good selection of grocery items, a Wells Fargo bank, florist, good prices, pretty decent produce area, good selection of alcohol, deli, and more. The store is clean, well lit, tidy, and well organized — better than other major grocery store chains in Ramona. They are quick to open new check-out lines when needed so, lines are rarely too long. Customer service is excellent. We have always had courteous, fast, and knowledgeable cashiers. Other staff has been helpful and friendly(whether managers or stock-persons). It is also close to restaurants, a decent Goodwill, two pharmacies, and has plenty of parking. It does need more places to put shopping carts after use.

Good store and good variety. …my only real complaint is that they don’t have enough registers open at peak hours or available during busy times… other than that it is a good place to shop and their prices always seem competitive to others.

I have been coming to this stater brothers all my life. It always has specials and has more items on lower prices than the other places in town. The meat here is better quality compared to other places. The only thing j don’t like is sometimes you have to wait a good time in line because a lot of people shop there and they don’t open other registers right away but besides that it would recommend this place to everyone and what’s awesome it doesn’t need recommendation people already know how gold this place is

I do not know what it is about Stater Brothers, i am just not in to it. It is a great store, there are some good deals to be had, but for me i just do not like it I try and try to make it work but no luck.

I love this store. By far the prices here are much better then Albertson’s. My one complaint is that lines tend to be long. It’s always packed but that’s probably because they are so cheap. The cashiers are friendly. Their meat counter has a wide selection for any occasion.

I hit this store up while camping at nearby Dos Picos. I thought they had really good prices and very friendly staff. But the aisle ways are so narrow! Nonetheless, I was glad it was nearly. Also has ample parking, a CO-OPATM machine nearby and a Redbox.

I like the weekly deals at Stater Bros. they now offer digital deals. All you do is enter your id # and you get instant savings on all of the products you selected online. It’s a great way to save time and money without clipping a coupon.

I was appalled at the«folks in charge» at Stater Brothers on Sunday. An elderly woman’s car broke down and she couldn’t get the pay phone near Stater’s to work. She asked the Stater’s clerk if she could use their phone. The clerk called someone«in charge» and was told the woman could not use the phone because it was«against their policy». Wow, what a way for a neighborhood grocery store to treat their neighbors. Very ugly. I don’t like the store to begin with — too many kids as clerks that feel their social lives are more important than checking out their customers, but I will definitely stay further away than ever.

Typical supermarket just like all the other ones. This store was clean and well stocked. My main gripe is that there’s no self-checkout aisles. It’s 2012 for crying out loud — I think it is time to install a few of them. There are only a few checkout aisles and the customers are predominately middle aged and elderly so be prepared to wait in line for a while.

I generally only go here when they have a great sale. The store is pretty well-stocked and the prices are comparable to other stores but the restroom is always gross and the lines are almost always out of control.
