Came here for first time after my in-laws raved about it. I had the Southwestern burger – absolutely delicious. San Francisco garlic fries were tasty. VERY reasonably priced. Will definitely come back again

«Dive» bars can be hit or miss. It seems Cheers has missed for several people, however, when my brother and I visited on a late Friday night recently it was a solid hit. Yes it’s a dive bar… you are going to get a good«taste» of the locals which should be part of the allure, so if your looking for pinky’s up or table clothes then you may want to keep on driving. Cheers has a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles, both classic domestic offerings and local craft offerings. They had a few good looking specials on cocktails as well. Most anyone can pour a beer… MOST anyone. but on this particular visit what got that 4th star from me was the staff and the food. The woman behind the bar was working a pretty full house and still never left us lacking in libation. The cook apparently heard my brother and I jovially arguing about what to get for a while so he came out from behind the window and offered to make us a special burger he had done before to good result. Now, I am of the mind that it is always a good idea to go with what the chef recommends… so away we went. The Irish nachos we started with were good, not bad… the fries were of a battered, pre-frozen variety and the guac was shall we say«unconventional»… but it all worked together well. The burger was the real star of the evening for us though. The chef back there wasn’t messing around. We received a burger stuffed with cheese and peppers and bbq sauce that was everything a great pub burger should be… hot, juicy and needing more than one napkin. Id go back to Cheers for a cold beer and burger anytime, and so should you!

I live close by and wish this place could get its act together. The last 3 times I have been there over several months they have not had cold beer on the taps. Just seems like the place keeps getting more and more run down, even the duck tape on the booth seats needs to be replaced. My wife and I went in last Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and as always just one waitress running around like crazy Trying to serve the 33 people I counted inside, so even if they would have had cold beer good luck getting her attention with all those people to order another drink. I felt bad for her as we were sitting at the bar and had to listen to her explain to everyone who tried to order a beer that it was not cold. Don’t think we will be back until we see a change of ownership sign out front.

We always hit this place up when in Ramona. It’s a great little dive bar with a decent tap and a solid food menu. Gets busy on a weekend night, which can be a decent change of pace out in a small suburban town

I was not that impressed with this place. I spent twenty years in the Marine Corps so I have been to just about every kind of dive bar in the world. Just because you are a dive bar doesn’t mean that your air conditioning shouldn’t work or your food should give people food poisoning. I didn’t have a hamburger which some reviews rave about so I can’t give an opinion on that. I got a steak and fries and I guess it came with a free side order of food poisoning. Maybe they have really great live bands in this place but when I was there no band was playing and the jukebox was not working. My only source of entertainment while I was there was watching and elderly woman in pajamas walk behind the bar pour a huge glass of some type of liquor sit down and proceed to drink it like it was iced tea. Sean I thought you were going to be a responsible owner when you first contacted me and asked your question. I am positive it was your establishment I went into how many bars called Cheers do you think there are in the thriving metropolis of Ramona. I walked in the door and past the big swamp cooler you were using because your air conditioning was not working. I sat at the bar on the left side next to your kitchen. The guy that owns Ranger Doug’s gun store was sitting off to the left at a bench. I was having a beer and some guy came out of the kitchen and told me there was a special that consisted of a steak and fries. I said I would try it. Since there was no band playing which I did not expect a band to be playing since it was the middle of the day I went over to the jukebox and put a few dollars in and selected a few songs. I went back to the bar and sat down after five minutes I asked the bartender if there was something wrong with the jukebox. She said it was not working and gave me three dollars back. Maybe the volume was turned down from the last time a band played and the bartender didn’t know how to turn it up. Not my responsibility to troubleshoot your sound system for you so as far as I am concerned that constitutes a broken jukebox. As far as my reviews of your competition yes I gave them a four star review as I do with most restaurants that serve me food that doesn’t result in me having three bouts of explosive diarrhea and a trip to the emergency room for an IV. How bought instead of calling an unsatisfied customer a liar you maybe take some responsibility and tell me that you will go over the food handling and preparation procedures with your employees and perhaps offer a simple apology. Everybody makes mistakes and I am usually willing to give a business a second chance. You might have impressed me on a subsequent visit to your establishment and perhaps and updated review would have been in order. But if you want to insult an unhappy customer by questioning their integrity then I guess you will have to settle for this review. Not that it is any of your business but I do not work for or often patronize any of the bars in town. I am a composite technician at General Atomic and I teach motorcycle training classes on the weekends. I have never worked in the food industry but I have worked jobs my entire adult life that require me to take responsibility when I make a mistake. You can sit back and deny that anything went wrong or you can fix the problem so it doesn’t happen to future customers. Either way I don’t care because I am never going in your bar again. Everybody is not like me though. I just left you a bad Unilocal review in the hopes that you would fix the problem the next person that has the same issue might file a lawsuit against you then you can try to sell some story about bake potatoes instead of fries to a jury.

Dive bar with pool tables and full bar. They have live music on Sundays. I’m not sure about whether they slso have it other nights. They have several tvs for catching a game. The burgers are seriously delicious. The onion rings are beer battered.

If it wasn’t for their outstanding burgers, I’d give this place a zero! That’s all they got going for them. The service is terrible! There’s one cook in the back and one waitress/bartender up front. The owner just sits on his fat @$$ to stuff his face with burgers and beer. The service is extremely slow. It took almost an hour to get our food. The owner should be getting up and help out his staff. The place is dark, dingy, and dirty. I know it’s a dive bar, but have some respect for your own business!

Great little dive bar! Food was good and it was a great place to catch a show! Definitely worth the drive! Tiip — if you’re going to see a popular musician, get there early to snag a table!

A nice little dive bar tucked away in the town of Ramona. There is plenty of parking and when you walk in you instantly get the dive bar vibes. There is plenty of seating inside and they have a full bar. They have a couple of beers on tap including a couple of local California breweries! I came here on a recommendation from a friend as he said they had really good burgers. I ordered the Texas burger and it was really good! It had bacon, onion rings, bbq sauce, jalapeños, and cheese on it. When you put everything together the burger is pretty tall so I had to scrunch it down just to fit it into my mouth! It was a pretty tasty burger! They had a really nice selection of burgers besides the one I got. I would for sure come back here again if I ever find myself in Ramona to try some of the other burgers!

The food is surprisingly good for a bar. It is, however, a bar. Don’t go there expecting a nice quiet dinner. :) Also there’s a shortage of tables. We’ve tried going back but had to leave as there were no seats available.

I usually come here when I’m in the area and I always get the Cowboy Burger with fries. These and the Bloody Mary’s made by Sandy are my favorite in Socal! My wife loves the Sandy salad. We haven’t taken a bike ride through the area yet but I think that’s how we will travel next time. Some beautiful roads around there.

Stopped here after playing a round at Mt Woodson golf. They have a full bar, so they serve every drink you can imagine. We played a few rounds of pool(at 75 cents a game) and watched sports on all the TVs while eating our burgers which were piled high and delicious. You can’t eat these clean because they fall apart after every bite unless you got a huge mouth. Pretty cool place overall and good service.

As far as dive bars in the middle of nowhere go — this is a cool place. They have music, pool and good food. Not everyone knows your name — unless you are a regular … so go in with that expectation and get the theme song out of your head. Or, better yet, go in singing it. I dare you. Overall, service is good. Patrons are friendly. Out of the maybe three bars in Ramona — it is in the top three for sure! See what I did there?

Amazing Avo burger. So juicy. Place is a shit hole but I love the food. Danielle kicks ass as a server despite the fact she had to run the entire place by herself when we were there. I’ll continue to eat there for the food.

After a nice, scenic run through the hills of Ramona with my favorite drinking group with a running problem, we settled at Cheers of Ramona for some grog and grub. Looking at the place one would not expect what we found there. Great service and some damn tasty burgers. The only low point, for which I take partial credit, was that I was severely overcharged for my order. I should have caught it when signing my tab, but I did not. I believe it was an honest mistake and nobody else at the table seemed to share the same issue, but for some reason there was a 15 dollar charge attached to my Guinness order. My girlfriend and I ordered one beer and one burger each. Maybe Guinness is really expensive in Ramona. Enough on that subject. Onward with the food and service praise. The burgers were perfectly cooked and came out piping hot. Chef expedited his own food during the shift change and still managed to get the food out to the floor with little lag between orders. My food was a little behind because the order did not go in the system properly, but again, chef waived his magic want and it was out in no time flat. I usually dread having to go out to Ramona, but this place gives me great reason to extend my work day just a little longer. Though, I’ll keep a closer watch on my tab in the future.

So divey, I love this place! My friend and I always stop here last after wine tasting for food! Each time we’ve come, the service is always great. We recently each got burgers, and they were amazing. Normally we share the sampler which is also delicious. The service is always really great, and we actually got to talk to the owner who was in there enjoying a drink! Super nice guy. They have pool tables and plenty of places to sit and eat/drink! But really, the burger I got was GREAT. Bacon, bleu cheese, and avocado. So tasty, I want one now :) Good place to grab a drink and food!
