Adventures On Horseback

Probably the most comfortable horse back rides e have been on. Rode over the hills overlooking Ramona and summer if the wineries. Loved Deb our guide and rangler.

My (now) fiancé and I cannot thank Adventures on Horseback enough for the incredible and unforgettable private, guided ride that Debbie took us on. Halfway through the winery ride, at the oak tree, Debbie, according to the plan she and I had devised, suggested that my (then) girlfriend and I get off our horses and take a few photos in front of the oak tree and the west-​facing view. With Debbie capturing the moment, I asked my (then) girlfriend to marry me! We then rode back to the Turtle Rock Ridge Winery where owners Ian and Laurie had helped me organize a wonderful lunch (courtesy of Marmalade on Main) with flowers, champagne, and their wine. Debbie was an absolute pleasure to work with from my initial inquiry, to my relentless planning phone calls & texts, and all the way through the big day! I’m so happy she shared our special moment with us. Her horses were wonderful. I highly recommend Debbie and Adventures on Horseback for any and all occasions.

I have ridden with Adventures on Horseback a couple of times and their horses are always well behaved.
I’ve done the ranch ride and the winery ride. Both are fun. The scenery at the ranch is spectacular. Great way to get my horse time in. Thank you Doc and Rudy for great rides.

What a great time! We went on a 1 hour winery ride on Valentine’s Day, and the experience from beginning to end was top-​notch. Deb was so sweet on the phone and over email making sure she had a horse that could accommodate my very tall boyfriend, and when my Christmas gift certificate for him got lost in the mail, she went above and beyond to make sure I had one in hand to give him on Christmas morning! Aside from the service and the beautiful gift certificate, the ride itself was fantastic! Everyone was given a beautiful horse to ride that was suited to their experience level (mine being pretty much none). I rode the lovely Lacey and my boyfriend got to ride a sweet horse named Rudy. We rode from the winery up through a hill and across a ridge with breathtaking views of Ramona. Deb and Racine also provided great commentary and instruction throughout the ride. I was so sad when the ride ended, and I will definitely be booking another ride with Adventures on Horseback!

Amazing! Everything about our experience was perfect, and we had a truly wonderful time. Deb and her staff could not be more informative, accommodating, kind, and just good people to spend time with. The horses were friendly hosts as well, taking us on a beautiful and breathtaking ride over various terrain and incomparable views. This was an experience I will not forget, and hope to have again soon! Pairing the ride with a trip to the tasting room at Turtle Rock rounded out a perfect day. Thank you, for a real good time!

What a great time we had riding through the mountains of Ramona. Our guides Bob and Melissa we’re fantastic. The horses we rode were very relaxed and easy to ride. I am an Advent horse rider, and my friend was a beginner, and the horses they chose for us were just perfect. we got to see some nice mountain views, the horse ranch, and even some wild turkeys. I highly recommend Adventures in horseback for anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing day in the mountains. thanks again Bob and Melissa we will be back.

My girlfriend (first time rider) and I had a great time. The trail went through a beautiful nature preserve next to a winery and showed us a different view of SoCal.
Our guide was also an awesome, friendly and knowledgeable guy.
The wine afterwards was also delicious!

Had a great time on their trail ride in Ramona at the Turtle Rock Winery. Beautiful panoramic views of San Diego County on horseback. Will be sure to make this an activity for my family again!
