Wood Quarters of Cary

Very disappointed in the amount of time it takes to receive furniture (non-​custom) after an order has been placed. Have been waiting months now, and continue to be told «next week» every single time we inquire about our shipment. Unacceptable…
My husband and I are disappointed to say the least. We’ve been planning on purchasing additional items but due to the fact we still don’t have our dining set purchased in mid-​November we will be taking our business elsewhere and recommend others do the same.

High Quality Furniture. Got an Amish bed and dresser and the quality is superior to any other furniture stores. We also bought some unfinished bedroom furniture for the kids and finished it ourselves, looks great!

Have bought many items here. All have been of extreme high quality and look amazing! Prices are right for solid wood furniture. I see others have complained about the time and delays but for custom furniture at the price it is, is totally worth it. Go to rooms to go if you want something cheap and fast… That furniture won’t last as long as the quality you get at woodquarters.

Nice selection of wood furniture not typical of «big» stores. However buyer beware any item ordered. Order placed May 2015 and 17 weeks later, still no product. The sales associate informed me I would need to wait until the owner is present to find out how much longer it would be. He refused to leave a message for the owner but rather insisted I call back.
Horrible service! 17 weeks is unacceptable for an order that we were told would be 6 weeks and made worse as the staff has no interest in you once they have received money for goods not delivered.

My husband and I were very satisfied with our Wood Quarters experience. We ordered quite a bit of furniture — 2 Kingston Oak bookshelves, a matching set with parawood coffee table and 2 end tables, and a parawood desk with hutch and chair. We got it all custom finished by Wood Quarters. The furniture is unbelievably sturdy and beautifully finished. My grandchildren are going to be able to inherit this stuff, I kid you not. With the custom finishing, it wasn’t particularly cheap, but it also wasn’t any more expensive then the assorted pressboard and plastic products you get at big furniture retailers these days. To me, that makes it very reasonably priced for beautiful, customizable, solid wood furniture. Jim in particular spent quite a bit of time with me walking through my options one day when I just came to look, and a second time when I placed my order. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Do keep in mind that custom finishing takes a LONG time. Our receipt said 8 – 10 weeks and it took longer than that — more like 12. This was inconvenient for us because we ended up moving ahead of schedule and didn’t have furniture for awhile. When I expressed disappointment that it was taking longer than promised, they offered to refund $ 100 to my credit card, and I was pleased with that… particularly given that they gave me a discount and free delivery with my large order. Highly recommend buying from this local business!

Wood furniture. Finished, custom or factory, or unfinished. Wood Quarters has a nice selection. All of it can be custom ordered if you need something other than a standard size. There are storage chests about the size of foot lockers, bookcases, entertainment centers, tables, and outdoor furniture, as well as small occasional tables. What makes this store different is you can pick the stain or color you want to match your other furniture, although I found the natural color beautiful.
I looked at one dresser that was made from para wood. According to the sign describing it, para wood is that from a rubber tree whose life span is about 25 years after which it’s cut down and a new tree planted. I’ve seen para wood chess sets and other similar small items, but had no idea you could do something as large as furniture with it.
It was pretty hard to get out of this store without buying a bookcase or two, but I’ll have to leave that for another day.
