As a vendor, placing items on consignment, at this store, I was greatly disappointed with some of their practices, namely — the way they marked up my items(after agreeing to the 60⁄40 split and setting the price I wanted to collect on the items). One was supposed to be priced at $ 75, but was priced at $ 180! Another was supposed to be priced at $ 150, but was marked up another $ 30. Needless to say, neither of these items sold after 4+ months. The second major complaint I have is that one of my items had another stacked on top of it(and could have easily been scratched). I really don’t know how much business this place does, but the several times I visited, I was the only person in the store besides a «sales clerk». A different one each time who was pretty clueless.

A small boutique store with handmade and locally made goods. Sure they carry a little bit of stuff that might say«made in(pick a country)» but for the most part, it’s local art, local woodwork and local flavor. Pricey? A little bit, but they need to make a little bit in order to pay the consignment to the local artist. Point here is, this place dedicates itself to supporting local talent, whether it be an abstract piece of art or handmade candles. Neat story about the name of the place too. The owners said they always wanted to open a boutique store like this and they always thought they’d only be able to do it when pigs fly. The rest is history. Give them a visit, even if just to say hello. If you see something that interests you, it might be worth it once you realize the product is locally made and it’s unlikely you’ll find it anywhere else.
