What a great place. Super atmosphere, wine selections, service, and location. Can’t wait to go back!

I am also hesitant to write this review because right now Vita Vite is such a gem, and I’m scared what will happen if word gets out. The wine selection is on point and the bartenders are excellent at making recommendations. I have recommended Vita Vite to multiple friends for date nights and everyone has had a great experience.

Love the atmosphere. Love the wine. Laid back, grownup place for people who enjoy wine and conversations. Raleigh needs more places like this! Looking forward to the next visit!

«Pairing Art and Wine» and what an amazing job they’re going at it! The atmosphere is what truly sets this wine bar apart from it’s downtown competition. It’s slightly off the beaten path if you don’t know your way around Raleigh well, but it a quick ten minute walk from the center of things and well worth that walk! Cozy, romantic, upscale, modern: these are all words that come to mind. You’ll love everything from the swinging«bed» to the cozy fireplace and garage door«windows». Beautiful, large paintings line most of the walls(they also call themselves an art gallery!) and there’s seating at individual tables, the bar or outside on the front patio space. You can tell a lot of effort went into the design and look of this wine bar. The wine menu is accommodating to all. Wine can be purchased by the bottle or glass with prices ranging from $ 6 for a class of Cava($ 18 for a bottle) up to about $ 45/bottles of that you can also buy by the glass. They have a reserve section, bottles only that ranges in price from $ 45-$ 95/bottle. Of course, their menu is changing often but they have an excellent selection. And it’s not wine only, Vita Vite offers five taps with local selections of beer in addition to an ever changing menu of cheese, charcuterie and pastries. The crowd here is slightly older and female heavy {Lori R. brought to my attention that I should clarify it’s a «classier» and higher female to male ratio}, but it oozes of romance and tranquility. I can see myself returning often!

This place has a great vibe. Lots of comfortable seating. Great sound track playing in the background. Wine and beer selection is great. It’s a little pricey. Especially for the area but ypu can’t beat the atmosphere. Lots of people there from the afterwork crowd and stays nicely humming until midnight.

I’m obsessed with this place. The wait staff is always very charming and nice. They have wifi for me to work. The cheese plates are to die! Also the wine selections are fantastic. I love all the local art for sale, you could buy it and take it home on the spot. They also have cards against humanitarian available!

Super chic and trendy, great beers on tap and the wine list is large and reasonably priced. The service is phenomenal and the management and ownership are extremely friendly! Will be back.

We went on First Friday to grab a bit and a drink after browsing art galleries — Vita Vite is still young, so I’m writing this anticipating that I will be going back, and I will love it. The good: –Vita Vite is HUGE! Lots of interesting spaces to sit and chat with your friends, SO, etc. We sat at the bar this time, but when it’s beautiful out I can’t wait to check out the swinging benches in the front, or grab a couch when I’m with a group. –Wine prices are very reasonable. I was happy to see that most of the wines were in my price point, and there was a large selection to choose from. I had a really good Rose and my partner had a nice prosecco — generous pours and overall good quality. –Charcuterie was a winner and at a great price! For $ 12 we had the«pick three option» — two cheeses, a sopresatta and some olives. The portions were big and felt substantial — I love charcuterie and this is one of the best ones in the area(I think). The bad: –Vita Vite was slammed the night we went, which is both good and bad. I’m happy to see them having good business, but it meant that the bar was very noisy and very crowded. –The bar was understaffed that night. If it were a weekday and only two people were working, I would understand. But this was a Friday night! Only two people were working, and because of the crowds everything took a very long time. Our first wine order was forgotten about and we had to ask again after 20 minutes. 20 minutes later we received our food, and it took an additional 30 minutes from asking for our check to receiving it. I could hear others around us whispering the same things. I’m giving Vita Vite the benefit of the doubt and will definitely be back — the goods outweigh the cons, but I’m going to be reluctant to go on the weekend again. Maybe give it a few months to figure itself out, but I think it’s going to be great!

Very cute luxe location to meet girlfriends for a casual ladies night or a cozy spot for a night out with your significant other. So many seating options from comfortable bar chairs, plush cozy couches, to standard 4 seat tables and pub tables. This would be an awesome venue to rent out for any type of event as the beautiful artwork on all of the walls from local artists(that is all for sale) and gorgeous light fixtures and ambiance in general would lend a nice back drop and make your event perfect. They had a limited yet nice selection of wine choices as well as craft beers. While their website makes no mention of it, they do have food. They have cheese and meat platter selections as well as a few dessert options. I think they should consider a mention of this on their website as it was almost a deterrent for me not knowing if they had food or not. Overall, a great spot for probably any day or night of the week. I happened to have been on a Saturday(last night) and it was a nice crowd, not supercrowded, but bar crowded. Oh and the music that I could subtly here over the noise of the bar was good. Looking forward to many more visits to Vita Vite.

Enjoying a Saturday out in DTR with Chris M., Sara B., and Lindy P., the gals turned Chris and I on to the new Vita Vite after our brunch. Always up for a good wine bar, we were not disappointed here. I think they bring a well needed facelift to the area that occupied the former CC/313 space on Hargett St. Entering, there are big huge garage doors. I’m a sucker for places with big garage doors, I’ll just say it. It opens up to a very nice outdoor sitting area then through the doors to the main area inside. There you are met with comfy couches, fireplaces, unique communal tables, and a substantial bar area. Whatever your mood, you’ll find a place to nest at VV. All around these areas you will find local art displayed and even for sale, and there are some great pieces there. All in all, I love the atmosphere. Comfortable and inviting. Vita Vite offers a well selected wine menu… not overwhelming with too many selections but what is there appears to be quality. Not in the wine mood? There are 6 draft craft beer choices and they offer a pretty well-rounded selection with good representation for about all types. If you have the munchies with your EtOH, there is a great offering of cheeses, charcuterie, nibbles that just hit the spot. I thoroughly enjoyed our spot next to the fireplace and drank it all in… the wine and the atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff rounded out this pleasant visit, thumbs up. Bottom line: Vita Vite is a breath of fresh air in the area. Awesome atmosphere, great wine and beer selections, tasty cheese/charcuterie, and friendly staff. I think these guys are rocking it so far. I’ll be back to VV in the future, no doubt about it.

A wine bar in the warehouse district! Vita Vite renovated the old 313 space next to Goodwill. So, now you can get your coffee in the morning across the street at Muertos, and your wine at night. Perf. The décor is modern chic rustic. There are swings on the patio, fireplaces, and lots of comfortable seating. My favorite is the wood table in the center that has attached stools that swing in and out. The bartenders are all awesome and very attentive. They can guide you through the menu to best match your palate. I recommend going for a bottle and sharing that with a few friends. If you’re not a wine person, they actually have a good selection of local beer on draft too. They recently added charcuterie(with Boulted Bread!) and some snacks. They even have macrons if you’re looking for something sweet. Due to construction in the area with The Dillon and Union Station, parking could be challenging for a bit. I recommend street parking on West Hargett, South Harrington, or South Dawson. You could also try Nash Square, which has some diagonal spots if you’re scared to parallel. If all that fails, try the Municipal Building Deck.

I really like the comfortable chairs at the bar. That was the first thing that caught my attention. I enjoy sitting at the bar at most venues, but my back starts to hurt in the chairs after a little while usually. Not here! Well done, Vita Vite. Great choice in furniture. My friend had a red wine and I had the rhubarb cider. It was quite tasty. Not super crowded on a weeknight. As we were leaving a group of college-age kids came in to celebrate a birthday, and I was glad we were making our exodus around that time. The décor is nice. The art on the wall is a mixed bag: some of it is a little too modern for my taste. Other paintings are more my preference. Cozy space in front of the fire. The only recommendation I would have is to dim the lighting a bit more to create even more ambiance.(Although, I am never a fan of overhead lighting. My friends think I’m part mole.) There were some light bites, but we didn’t try any. Nothing popped out at me. Typical wine bar items: cheese, crackers, charcuterie, and the like. I’m sure I’ll be back. In fact, I do have plans to meet some friends there next week. Looking forward to it.

Who doesn’t want to cozy up next to the fire place, sip on a serious French wine, discuss amazing regional artwork, and nosh on gourmet cheese and pickles? That’s what I thought. No one. As other reviews have mentioned, this is a superlative wine bar tucked into downtown Raleigh. It makes for a charming place to work or study during the day or rub elbows into the evening. The staff is warm and inviting and the ambiance is to die for. I wish I could give this little wine bar at least seven stars.

We were looking for a casual, cozy date night option in downtown Raleigh and found our way to Vita Vite on Thursday night. Although rainy, there was parking available on Hargett St(yay free as it was after 8pm) and a nice crowd inside Vita Vite. I instantly loved the vibe and décor of this space. There are different seating options available. high top, low table, bar, upholstered chairs, but we settled in nicely by the fireplace on the loveseat. We got a chance to meet the owner, who is very passionate and knowlwdgeable bout wine. Also available is beer on tap if wine is not your thing. But it is our thing, which makes this place a new fave of ours. Not only a wine bar but this place is an art gallery. Art is available for viewing and purchase. This place is also great for groups, girls night out or just a date with yourself. I can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer to use the outdoor seating area. There is a swing bed with my name on it!

Love Love Love this place. Found it by accident, happily so. The interior reminds me of Restoration Hardware. It’s chic with a nod to high end repurposed materials. The layout is intelligent. There are intensional niches so that you and your friends can feel as though you have your own personal space. Loved the wine list and the local beers was a nice touch. I got to chatting with the owner, Lindsey, very friendly. I can definitely see this as being one of my favorite hang out places.

This is by far my new favorite haunt in Raleigh! We went on a quiet night the week after Christmas, but there were still lots of full tables. If you can get past the serious furnishing envy(I guarantee you will want all of the décor –art included — for your own house!), it’s the coziest, most comfortable, elegant place to hang out with family or friends. My parents were visiting from Chicago and they couldn’t stop raving about how much they loved it. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgable about the wines and even gave us a few options to taste. They keep their list small and rotate it out often — can’t wait until they roll flights out so I can just try them all! Lindsay, the owner, was setting up for New Year’s Eve in their private event space, but took almost a half hour of her time to chat with us. It was fantastic to learn more about how her background, how she started the business, and how she renovated everything to get it looking as gorgeous as it is. Thank you for creating a wonderful new drinking hole for downtown Raleigh! We’ll be back again soon!

If you want to relax with some wine(or beer) with comfort and a bit of style, this is your place. I am in love with the décor and concept — there’s some art to gaze at, fire places and comfortable couches to cuddle up in, coffee tables to rest your feet on(welll, that’s likely frowned upon), high tops and big tables for some serious talkers, sizeable bar, and a satisfactory menu to select from. I think they could put a few more choices on the menu, but I give a thumbs up to the ones they do have. Bonus: they have games! Bananagrams all night long if that strikes your fancy. Vita Vite is definitely my go-to vino location from now on. Can’t wait to go back and chill out in the outdoor seating. There’s even a swing couch!

First off Vita Vite is gorgeous. Like simply stunning. From the plush couches, the cozy blankets and the GIANT bed swing on the patio– this wine bar is straight out of a Restoration Hardware catalouge. After driving past it last week I made a note that I had to stop by for a glass of wine! I finally got around to it yesterday and was not disappointing! Aesthetics aside, Vita Vite is staffed by a lovely set of staff who know a lot about wine. Our girl was super friendly, gave some great suggestion and patiently answered all of our excited questions about the space! The wine list isn’t massive(yet) but there is a great variety of types and prices. There are also several beers(and a cider) on tap if you aren’t much of a wine person! They will also be serving small plates starting next week, so I can’t wait to comment on that(nothing is better than wine and cheese!) While you’re there be sure to explore the whole space, which includes a small art gallery and shop! There were some super cute local gifts that will surely be a hit with the area! I can’t wait to come back! There are literally no cons to this place! If you love wine, definitely check it out!

Yay I’ve been patiently waiting(not so patiently actually) for Vita Vite to open. As a big wino I was so excited to hear about a new wine bar opening in the downtown area. This isn’t just your typical wine bar it’s also an art gallery. Owner Lindsay Rice is passionate about art and wine and was able to bring both or her loves together in one amazing space. All the artwork is from southern artists and you can walk around and check out all the artwork hanging on the walls throughout the space. They did such an incredible job with this old building in the warehouse district. They still incorporated some of the old wood that was originally in the space and added so much rustic and modern charm. What’s awesome about this space is that it also hosts an event space in the back with a full catering kitchen. The event space is beautiful with amazing chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, it would be great for a small reception, dinner party, corporate meetings and so much more. Don’t miss the pretty bathrooms, yes they are worth a mention! The wine list isn’t huge but it is quality! You will not be disappointed no matter what price point you pick and what kind of wine you enjoy. Don’t like wine? No problem they have a great list of craft brews on tap. Soon to come is cheese plates, I can’t wait. If you are looking for some unique gifts they also carry some pretty cool foodie and southern gifts to purchase. The outdoor area is perfect for an afternoon of wine tasting. Large comfy couches and chairs make you feel like you are drinking wine in your own living room. The indoor area gives you the same feel, with all the beautiful artwork and fireplaces. Let’s just say I think I found one of my new favorite spots in DTR!
