I lived in the Links for two years. The actual facility was satisfactory. However, when I would go to the pool my neighbors acted as if they’d never seen a person of color before. My neighbors frequently used the N-word to refer to themselves and others and it made me afraid to continue to live there. Also, I have been out of the complex for several months and have not received the refund of my security deposit as promised within 30 days. I have called an emailed to no avail. No one can give me a definitive answer. There are not enough visitor spaces for the number of units on the property. It is next door to a fraternity house and there is an increasing number of college aged students moving in making the property more and more noisy. There’s nothing like waking up at 3am to your neighbor’s boyfriend arguing with a cab driver, using racial slurs while threatening his life. Be cautious of you move in and are a person of color.

I had the privilege of photographing this apartment complex recently. I’ve done quite a bit of work with Greystars newer properties, but i believe that this is one that they have taken over and renovated, The location is beautiful and sits on Raleigh’s oldest golf course. The apartments are very spacious and i loved their loft apartments which had two floors. Their swimming pool looked beautiful and shooting the complex on a hot day almost made me want to join in. I worked closely with the property manager Lauren on this project and she took the time out of her busy schedule to drive us around for hours in a golf cart and she was a Joy to work with. This photo shoot ended up being a lot of fun and collaboratively we got some great photos of the complex, which hopefully will be up on this site soon. If I was looking for an apartment this would definitely be on my list to visit.
