Ordered for pick up, was told 20 – 25 minutes for the order to be ready… one hour later, I’m still sitting in the restaurant waiting on my order. How can a restaurant screw up that bad, especially when there are only 5 tables with patrons? No apologies, just«we’re really busy.» The worst part is the food isn’t that great, but when you’re from out of town, you go with what your locals order. Won’t be coming back, neither will the locals. Horrible!

Nice atmosphere. Parking is crazy on a Saturday night though. Spring rolls were really good and fresh. Entrée was just ok. I would probably return for lunch to try something different. Lunch seems like a good deal. We went for dinner and viewed the whole menu. I really wish the menu would provide detail about each dish and the types of veggies for each dish. I’ll post a picture of the to-go menu which does give a description for some items. Drinks were reasonably priced but I think the one I had was very light on the alcohol. Overall, it was just ok. Definitely not one of my favorites, but I would try it again.

I have been going here for about 5 years now and I can honestly say that I love this place. I have introduced so many to this place and they all say that the pricing for lunch and the portions are great. Being a Vegan I love the Tofu and Broccoli on the lunch menu that you can get with Brown or White Rice and a Soup or Salad or Spring Roll. I normally get what I just mentioned with Double Spring Rolls and a Perrier Water. The staff is always pleasant and the owner knows me very well. Give them a try you wont be disappointed and if you are close to The PNC arena there is a new one that is opening up across the street.

I’m not sure how they’re still open. I went when they opened and when I got back to my office with my vegetarian to-go order, there was meat in my dish. I should have checked, but I did tell them I was vegetarian — chalked it up to being newly opened. Went back again a few months later to see how they were doing, and hopefully improving. The food was on the edge of gross. Bland and overcooked, and the rice was ‘al dente’. Fast forward a year — friends wanted to try it, and I warned them, but we went anyway. Out of 7 people, zero thought it was good. I ordered Pad Thai and, well, if you didn’t tell me what it was I never would have guessed. I asked the waiter if it was the wrong dish, she said it’s Pad Thai and when I explained that this is nowhere near Pad Thai(my friends who tasted it backed me up), she literally shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I didn’t eat it, and she didn’t care to fix the issue. This was one of those rare times that I tipped less than fifteen percent. Last week, coworkers wanted to go to celebrate one of our birthdays. I ordered an entrée for someone in exchange for getting their salad and spring roll because I knew their entrees were poorly executed — I didn’t want one. 9 of us and, again, zero thought it was good. I like that a locally owned business is doing well enough to stay open — I just don’t know how they can do it when the service and food are well below average.

Spring Roll, Spring NO! We went to Spring Roll tonight and everything started out fine. We ordered Lo Mein, Beef Ho-Fun, and Cashew Shrimp. All dishes arrived the same time and the waitress put down a shrimp dish and said Szechuan shrimp. I explain to her that I ordered Cashew Shrimp, so she took the dish back. She came back with a shrimp dish about 5 min later and the dish looked the same to me except there is cashew nut in it. I try the dish and notice that it was a little spicy, and at that point I know the kitchen took the Szechuan shrimp and add some cashew nut in it and re-stir it on the wok. At the end of our meal, I got my check and I was shocked that gratuities was added to my bill. We had a party of 4. We went to this place serval if time before because we really enjoy the ho-fun noodle dish, but after tonight we will never go back.

After reading about it online, I was pretty excited for Spring Rolls. I hadn’t had Chinese food since moving to Raleigh, and I was hoping to find a relatively upscale spot aside from the generic P.F. Chang’s. I wasn’t expecting the glory of the greasey authentic Americanized Chinese food that one might order for take out, but I was looking for a palate pleasing sit-down place to take a coworker. Inside the North Hills mall, Spring Rolls has a great location and a simple ambiance. I went on a Wednesday, which means half-priced house wine. Win! I’m no wine snob so a house reisling was just what I needed, and although we ordered white, they brought out two generously poured Bordeaux glasses(the large kind usually used for reds). Inspired by the namesake, we ordered the spring rolls first. Very basic — cabbage inside the spring roll wrap, sweet and sour sauce on the side. Tasty but nothing special. For dinner I had chicken and brocolli with white rice. Again, fine but nothing special. Personally, I found the entrée to be a little dry, but the meal certainly wasn’t bad. My companion went for the orange chicken, which I didn’t try fresh; I had it as a left over the next day, and I was impressed by how meaty it was(debunking any sterytypical myths about cat meat!) Our server was very attentive and made sure that our glasses were full and that our meals came out correctly and on time. The night, including an app, two entrees, four glasses of wine and a nice tip cost a total of $ 60. The price and wine earned three stars, but the food kept Spring Rolls from making my list of places to come back to.

I am really uncertain how this place is still open. My order was crab Rangoon and pad Thai. The crab Rangoon fell apart and barely had any crab meat. The pad Thai was essentially flavorless. I’ve never had pad Thai with a white sauce and really don’t know what flavor was the goal but it definitely wasn’t good. The people working there were very nice and friendly but the food is a definite fail.

I’m going to drop them down a star because I’ve been there 5x now and last night was not the best. I got my normal salmon but it was majorly overcooked which is disappointing because it’s one of the more expensive entrees. The broccoli was overcooked as well. The server was very nice(they always have been here) and you REALLY can’t beat $ 3 glasses of wine and $ 2 beers — EVERYNIGHT. I’ve also had their shrimp fried rice for lunch and it was very good. But they need to work with their chef.

We came in late and were the last customers of the night, and all the staff treated us so kindly and were very friendly and attentive! I really appreciated the great service. The egg roll appetizer was okay but the vegetable lo mein and cantonese chow mein were absolutely delicious and very fresh. Also had General Tso’s chicken and the rice that came with it was good. I had the strawberry lychee bubble tea which was delicious. Would definitely come back, a new favorite Asian fusion place :)

Stopped by after work for a bite. I ordered from the lunch menu and I ordered General Tso Chicken. The meal came with brown or white rice, spring roll, soup or salad. The chicken was cooked perfect and and not covered in flour which I truly enjoyed. My entire meal was delicious and the lunch size was perfect!

The service was nice and helpful. She was very kind and trying to help us with our problem. However the food wasn’t that great. I ordered Stir Fry Sezchuan Chicken. It wasn’t spicy at all. I had to add chilli sauce and Sriracha sauce to make it spicy. Still tasted nothing like Sezchuan sauce. My brother ordered Pad Thai and it was nothing like a pad thai dish. It was missing the vital elements and didnt taste like it. Overall very disappointed with the food. Don’t intend to return.

I ordered delivery from Spring Rolls and the food seemed old, not fresh by any standard. I ordered the Mongolian beef and general tsao’s chicken. The Mongolian beef had more onions in it than beef and by the way I ordered it with«No Onions». The meat wasn’t tender at all and unappetizing after one bite. The general tsao’s chicken was hard as a rock. I couldn’t cut any of the chicken with a fork as the meat was dry and overcooked, however a steak knife for this type of chicken was a new adventure for me. The only thing decent was the brown rice. Maybe they haven’t mastered food delivery or maybe it is just that bad. Either way, I don’t know if I would try it again.

I ordered the tempura prawns and what did I get? Fried shrimp, looking like something I bought in the Food Lion freezer. Disgusting! The waiter argued with me that it was tempura, and I was said, no, I know what tempura is, and this is NOT tempura, this is fried shrimp. So sad. An Asian restaurant that doesn’t know tempura. A very knowledgeable waiter nearby stood up for me, and the waiter replaced the plate with my choice. I ordered the spring rolls, because if it’s your name, it should be your signature dish. They were good but greasy, which means their fryer is not at the right temperature. They would do well to hire a chef who knows the difference between tempura and fried shrimp. The location is great and the ambience is delightful and it would be a superb place, if only the food matched up… I so want to like this place, but every time I go, my meal is such a disappointment. And, if you’re at a restaurant, the food should at least be tolerable. I have to once a year, sometimes two at least for my friends, and I only do it for them, and for the wine that gets me through the«meal.» The red wine is served warm, not at cellar temp – thank God for ice! The wait staff is professional enough(esp. the one who knows his stuff and knows that they serve frozen fried shrimp for tempura prawns!), and the dishes and glasses are lovely to look at and use. The Pad Thai is «meh,» Cups of soup big as bowls is not a good thing when you just want a taste before your entrée. I’ll go again and maybe have a martini or two to choke down the food.

We had the chicken Lo mein and beef with broccoli. Both were good. Above average compared to the majority of sub par asian fair available in the triangle. Servers were friendly and food arrived fast. I would go again.

My meal was okay but I was not impressed. The chicken curry was not what I expected and the flavor was bland. We went in the middle of the week and it was empty and started to fill up. The location is at North Hills at an intersection and the windows have a nice view of the shops and cars passing by. The server was nice yet I can’t give this restaurant more than 2 stars compared to other Asian restaurants in the Triangle.

Tried this place for lunch the other day. It reminded me a lot of PF Changs. The restaurant is very clean and has an almost upscale feeling to it. Wood tables, real cloth napkins. You definitely get what you pay for. The portions are very large. I tried the General Tao’s Chicken. It was pretty good and not greasy or over done. I will definitely be back to try this place again.

I’ve eaten at Spring Rolls 10 times, for lunch and dinner, and this is a composite of those experiences. I like Spring Rolls because it’s like a typical Asian restaurant, except they said«Hey, what if we served the same food, but made it a little better and made the restaurant nicer?» For instance it looks like the sesame chicken is actual white meat chicken cut and battered and fried in the back, not frozen. The vegetables are fresh. They have brown rice, which is missing at most takeout places. Their sauces are good. The food is always served hot. Always. They have reasonable specials for lunch. Their spring rolls are fantastic!(they better be, they named the place after it!) The only bad experience I had was when they got busy. The place is normally slow, so when they get slammed with 10 tables for lunch or dinner, they literally look like they don’t know what to do. Normally I’m in and out in 30 minutes. Tonight it took an hour and 15 because they got slammed, and we didn’t get our appetizers for 30 min and we couldn’t get our waiter’s attention to get our check. Normally however, it’s not like that. I would say this is the best«standard Chinese» at a reasonable price. Big thumbs up

Sticky floors and flies on our arrival kinda set the expectations for me. The service was good and food is something I would rave about. I have had better asian food in the triangle. Tom Yum soup was average. It lacked lemongrass and some galangal. Most of the dishes that they serve are less than 10 $ which makes it affordable. Decent food, affordable, good service but«bad ambience».

Fresh! First glance at the salad that comes with the lunch special and it looks ordinary, but then taste that wonderful fresh citrus ginger dressing and it’s far from ordinary. Slightly spicy and tangy… really good! Love that the lunch combos come with soup or salad, plus one of their namesake spring rolls with a fresh vibrant sweet dipping sauce. I chose the Szechuan Chicken for $ 8.99…love the choice of brown or white rice(bring on brown for me), and I asked them to make mine spicy. Out came a pretty plate of thinly sliced tender chicken and loads of fresh veggies… green pepper, carrots, onions, zucchini and water chestnuts, with a light brown sauce. They added one of those normally really hot thin red peppers that I believe was supposed to make it spicy for me, but for some reason this one lacked heat. Next time I will ask for Sriracha. Everyone at our table was happy with their selections. Service was good, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Padded chairs at the tables, and plenty of booths.
