Great experience! Gavin was punctual, kind and very thorough. He spent several hours at the property(I was there for most of it), within 48 hrs of the inspection I had a detailed report of the home with the repairs listed in order of priority. He also included the appropriate professional to contact for the repairs. He fulfilled everything in the contract and promptly returned our call for follow up questions. I would definitely use Precision Home Inspection again.

Would not recomment at all. Does an inspection on a house(1) leaves the house with the key in his pocket(2) doesn’t know if he secured the home back and(3) doesn’t want to go back out to the property to right his wrong. Instead, he tells me(1) he is to far away and has to pick his kids up and(2) I am the type of person that expects things to be done when I want them done. Email reads: Hello. My inspector did an inspection today at(Deleted address) in Fuquay Varina. He just realized that in his rush to get back in his car because of the rain, he left the property key in his pocket. He thinks that the door may be unlocked. Could someone from your company lock the doors? And where would you like us to mail the key?

First time home buyer and decided to go «outside the box» of what my realtor suggested since I thought I had found a more economical service. Customer service is the root of my poor experience. I was mis-quoted over the phone which was the main reason they got my business initially. Difference was only $ 25 but it was enough to separate from the competition. It was not refunded. I was told to arrive at 10am when the inspector was to be finishing up and could review his findings. I was on time and was immediately told he was in a hurry and made to feel I was putting him out to review the problem areas of the house. He was more concerned about his next appointment then he was addressing my questions. He missed several items that I later found… discoloration in an upstairs ceiling(heat pump), and numerous other cosmetic defects that may or may not be part of typical home inspection… as I mentioned this was my first time. Garage door became unhinged when turned on, fireplace door handle was broken, sink hose was unusable, glass sliding door jams, numerous broken blinds. Report drawn up was not bad for what was listed. I’m sure he knows how to do his job well but his customer service stinks. Something to consider for those looking for reassurance and help in making such a huge financial decision. Take it for what it’s worth… my realtor was in total agreement with me. PHI lost a chance for additional business referrals due to the manner in which he handled my inspection. Good luck
