Kinda wish they had more greens and some almond milk options. And didn’t use styrofoam cups. I love greens and can’t do dairy so my options were pretty limited. I got the lean green extreme– greens, mango, banana, pineapple. It was a little sweet but I like that they had a plant based protein addition. My friend had the Chocolate Elvis– cocoa, peanut butter, bananas, frozen yogurt, nonfat milk, energy blast. Not a bad stop, I just felt like the chain doesn’t really embrace the greens like most smoothie places do.

I just discovered this place yesterday, and I’m in love. First and foremost the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The employees actually care about what they do and seem happy to be there. Seriously, they’re amazing! I’ve been twice now and it’s such a great experience. They make great suggestions, and have always offered me a taste to make sure I like what they recommend(which has been delicious both times). I like smoothies because they’re delicious, but also because they can be healthy — if you can find a place that doesn’t jack them full of sugar or artificial sweeteners and uses real fruit. This is that place. I’m pretty specific about what I want, something with no added sugar and no fake sweeteners, and preferably dairy free, they have a great selection of add ins to accommodate that, and everything tastes so fresh. They have nutrition info clearly posted, and the staff does a great job of helping you find something that is tasty and matches up with any dietary concerns. If I somehow manage to not end up here on a daily basis it will be a small miracle.

Super friendly staff and a bright, clean North Raleigh location. I think I’ve tried every flavor, but my favorite is the PB&J!

Amazing smoothies. Owner is so awesome. Just moved to Wrightsville Beach and he was super friendly and helpful. The smoothies are so perfect. Excellent nutrition and they customize them to whatever you wish. So perfect :)

My new favorite spot! This place has a really good selection of smoothies on their menu. The best part of Planet Smoothie is being able to take their existing menu and add what you like: veggies like spinach, cucumber, and carrots; and«boosters» with added vitamins. You can customize your smoothie to get the right«boost» you need, like a fat burner or energy. The sizes run large which is great too. Only downside is, they don’t open til 8AM. Wish they opened earlier so I could stop by for breakfast before work or an early morning workout!

I loved the road runner energy smoothie! It looks like the owners talked to the staff or hired new people. The gals were very attentive.

Had no clue that there was a Planet Smoothie anywhere else other than Hillsborough street in Raleigh, and so I happily skipped into PS on Falls as soon as I saw it. First, I love Planet Smoothie. I love the variety, the fresh/authentic fruits they use, and the cool, catchy names are nifty. The smoothies are always yummy and a nice treat any time of day. My beef– why the deduction of a star, is that the staff yesterday seriously acted like they were too cool for school, had no time to talk about the smoothie options I was looking into(I was the only person in the store at the time), and when another gal came in and asked about the kind of milk they use, the counter girl sparked some attitude when she answered that it was non-fat powered milk and then pushed the blender button and looked at her telling her, «I can’t hear you» with an annoyed look on her face. I’ve been back, and will when I am in the area and want a fresh smoothie, however, it was a bummer to see sore staff at what should be a cheery, happy atmosphere. Nice smoothies, not so nice staff.

Java the Nut is better than any chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had, and at least I feel like I’m putting something healthy in my body, even if it is just a banana! The fruity smoothies are good too, but they all taste similar, because they are mostly fruit juice-based. The next time I go, I need to inquire about the protein they use. We who swear by our protein know that quality powder is invaluable. Planet Smoothie’s is practically undetectable– it leaves no grittiness or chunks like some store-bought options, and I’ve got to know what it is!

Just like the others. Clean. I love all the catchy names they have for the smoothies and that you can add extra stuff for only 75 cents each. I usually go with the Thelma and Louise but today I chose the Skinny Planet Pro with Pineapples and Raspberry and added protein. The sizes here are huge, I had the medium and it was sooo filling. Great meal replacements, pre-workout shakes which you can add fat burner to and after workouts with protein. You can add chips or bars if you want to intake something solid. And it’s all healthy! I am a fan.

There are not that many smoothie places around, just 2 other chains that I can think off, that are not inside a gym of some sort. The atmosphere was ok, as there was not a big crowd. There was only one person working, so with 3 people ahead in line, and a couple of minutes to prepare each smoothie after each order, it takes time to get to you. The team member was nice, and was working as fast as she could in between each order. I don’t think there was a bathroom in the little space, but, all you are getting is a smoothie anywhere, so you can go home afterwards. There are only two high top bar tables inside to sit at. But the good thing, is that if you wanted to sit down, you can sit right out the door in the little indoor seating area under the covered fans. It is a really nice place to sit and relax.

Trying to get around my giving up dessert for Lent dessert craving, I decided that smoothies did not constitute dessert, therefore, I was allowed to have one. I ventured all of 4 minutes to Planet Smoothie on Falls of Neuse with hubby in tow to find we had about 20 minutes ’till closing, so we hurried in, scanned the menu and ordered. The girl at the counter seemed a little annoyed to be getting an order that late in the day, and understandably, but she seemed to perk up when we both ordered the same thing – the Peanut Butter and Jelly. I was a little skeptical about this flavor, but felt a little rushed in my decision-making. I’m happy to say that it was quite tasty and hit the spot. The small sizes were HUGE and it felt like a brick in my stomach the rest of the night. I guess that’s why some people use smoothies as meal replacement, but I was just trying to satisfy my sweet tooth! It was also about $ 10 for two smoothies – I should have just caved and gotten an ice cream cone elsewhere! It’s in a nice little plaza with Fresh Market, so we strolled around with our huge smoothies and enjoyed the lovely night. I’d definitely go back, but I’m thinking I’ll order a kid’s size next time.

I am a huge fan of the drinks at Planet Smoothie. The service at their Hillsborough street location is fantastic, the service here… not so much. I am not on this side of town often, so I may stop in to this store once every two months or so. Almost every time I’ve come here there has been a note on the door indicating the employee will be back at a time which has long since passed. The times I’ve gone there when there has actually been someone working that someone has been exceptionally slow, and is often working along(or their co-worked is MIA) so a line of 3 people can take upwards of 20 minutes. Five stars for beverage quality, one star for service.
