Visited the store to buy a pump that the Northern Tool website claimed this location had in stock. They did not have the pump on the floor, and employees claimed it would not be in the stock room, so no point in checking. Fine, I’ll buy on Amazon instead. Decided to pick up a pipe fitting while I was there. Waited in line for 15 min to check out — 3 employees behind the counter, only one manning the register, I was next in line. Finally, the cashier finishes checking out the customer ahead of me for one item. I move up in line to the register and she says«Sorry sir, I’m helping another customer» and waves in a customer who was not even in line. I left without making any purchase, and won’t ever go back to this location — probably will steer clear of Northern Tool in general. If I could assign 0 stars I would, as that score would truly be representative of their customer service.

This is a nice store and the staff are friendly. Most of the products are cheap knock offs. If you buy a tool here, just be aware you are getting something that will wear out quickly.

Good for trailer tires. Not much else. I just found out that I cannot return a gasoline powered item that I just purchased if I gas it up. I understand the purpose of the policy, but what if it’s a lemon and breaks after the first use? They should be damned cheap to have such a strict policy and they’re just not. In fact their prices leave a lot to be desired. Item is going back unopened. I can get better prices and service at a blue or orange store. Come to think of it, I’ve never walked out of the store with a satisfying purchase other than trailer tires and do-dads from the junk bins.

I am not a fan. I know that the tool I buy here won’t last. I expect a 2 dollar hammer to break. But the rating is for the service. I have called many times to see if they have something in stock, many times I am told«yes» and many times I go up there just to find that they did not have it in stock. Once I am there I can not find someone who can help me. And if you ever need something tax exempt… you are screwed. I stayed up there one time for 35 minutes getting the tax right. I call them ahead of time to make sure everything is good, I get up there to a guy who is clueless, even the manager could not help. that was not worth the 7% tax I ended up paying because I was sick of waiting.

One of the city’s best sources of cheap tools. So let’s be honest — virtually everything in here is made in China. There’s lots of «no-name» tools that are great for those tool purchases where you need it, but you know you’ll only use it sparingly at best. Staff are generally friendly and I’ve never had a problem returning items.
