Be Aware!!! The return policy is extremely restrictive and they adhere to it even for gifts. They have a 5 day return policy. You are better off shopping at Nordstroms which has better product variety, return/exchange policy and customer service. I will not return to Monkee’s.

It’s a very cute store with a lot of great designer labels. However, I was not even greeted nor offered any help despite spending a decent amount of money on several pairs of Tory Burch shoes.

Bad customer service. I recently moved here from California and this is the first place I felt discriminated. They did not greet me or my mother at all, or even acknowledged us. They seemed too occupied by their own(hate to say this) Caucasian customers. Maybe it’s because the sales associates are too young and need to go back to school to get educated on diversity and respect. But I have never been treated like this before. The clothes were cute but when I wanted to try them on, I had to stop an associate in her tracks to get them to help me. Once I did that she helped everyone else around who were occupied in shopping. I loved the dress and bought it but this is first and last time I shop there. They didn’t say goodbye or thank you when I left. Talk about RUDE! Keep in mind we are the customers. I was curious if they had a track record, so I looked at Unilocal and how I felt seemed to be true with other customers. I hope they read this and take a step forward. Welcome to 2014…

The shop is cute and has an interesting selection of shoes. I bought a pair of $ 250 designer shoes there and then went on vacation. Got home, caught up on work, so a couple of weeks passed before I put on the shoes to wear them and found they did not work with the dress I’d hoped to pair them with. I had my receipt and they were clearly unworn, but Monkees refused to accept a return. I said«Seriously, they are unworn and I have my receipt. They are still on your shelves. You can’t work with me on this?» NO. And the whole conversation was very awkward and they were extremely rude to me. I would never shop there again. Sticking with Nordstrom and Saks where they know how to treat a customer.

Bad Customer Service. I was in Raleigh NC for 5 days attending a class for work. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes. Returned home to Washington D. C(5 hours away) and wanted to return one pair of shoes. I called Monkees and asked them about the return and was informed they have a 5 day return policy. I called on day 6. They told me no refund. The«manager» said she would ask the owner. They failed to follow up with me. I had to call back a few days later to find that there was a message left to call and of course they ignored it. I will never shop there again.

This review is based upon my husband shopping there during the Christmas season, so take it as you will. I found Monkee’s on Facebook and told my husband that it would be a great place for him to go and find Christmas gifts for me. I usually think he doesn’t listen but this time, he did. After I opened the gifts I received from the shop I asked him how the store was and what kind of service he received. I follow this store on Facebook and Instagram and sort of had an inkling of how they might be. Add the fact that they are in North Hills and you have a recipe for either an amazing experience or a lackluster one. Sadly my husband’s visit was lackluster. He said he was greeted but was really given no real help. So here we have a husband who is Christmas shopping for his wife and he gets no help? He told me he felt it was because he was not dressed in a suit and tie. Sad to think some places really still judge a customer by how they are dressed, especially when they have money to spend. Thankfully even without much help he was able to find several items and they were nice enough to giftwrap them for him. I was disappointed in his experience because the store carries some of my favorite brands. I would probably send him again only if the items I wanted were on sale and I would only go for the same reason.

Surprisingly small, but very cute and split accordingly to merchandise about one-half clothing and one-half shoes. They had a small table of jeans up front and racks on surrounding walls, with the focus being tops and dresses for an evening out. The back room shelves a good selection of shoes and bags. Labels? You got ‘em. Joie, Graham & Spencer, Kate Spade, and Botkier. I don’t know why I’ve never tried the one in Meadowmont(which is far closer for me), but you can believe I’ll be a customer starting now.
