I was in this store recently and it was approaching closing time and I did not realize it. Instead of politely letting me know it was closing time, the employee rudely said I do not have time to help you now. I will not be returning to this store for my fabric and upholstery projects. Find another store that will meet or exceed expectations.

I admit that I am a fabriholic… unfortunately you should pass on this shop. The inventory is very dated and no one asked if I needed assistance.

Fabrics For All Occasions Visit: January 28 I have driven by Midas Fabric and Blinds at least a thousand times and never stopped in. Well, I finally decided to check out this fabric store and I am so glad that I did. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon and the small parking lot was full… good sign for the business. We were greeted by one of several women working that afternoon. I immediately saw a fabric that was so pretty but I was in search for an inexpensive fabric to make a toga for a Unilocal party that evening. Highlighted with a big festive sign over the doorway, the Bargain Room was my target destination. There were many fabrics ranging in price from about $ 3/yd to about $ 7/yd. I found several fabrics that would be perfect for my toga. I had no idea how much fabric I needed so my husband helped me wrap some fabric around me. While I was still browsing, he took the bolt of fabric to measure the length. He came back in a few seconds. I was surprised he returned so quickly. He told me a nice employee helped him. When we finally decided on our fabrics, Sue Ann measured out the quantity we asked for. Sue Ann was amicable and talkative. She asked what we were using the fabric for and she laughed when we told her we were making togas. She thought it sounded like fun. So we told her a little bit about Unilocal and I showed her on my iPhone how I checked in. She was intrigued. I asked her about making custom drapery because I’ve been thinking about redecorating my condo and would need new window treatments. Through Midas, I could have window treatments, bed linens, pillows, and all sorts of things custom made. This is a relatively small store and I asked Sue Ann about other fabrics. She pointed to a rack of fabric books in which I could order fabric. I also inquired about outdoor fabrics and if I could have cushions made. She said they only had a few weather resistant fabrics in house but I could order others and they do make cushions. Sue Ann was extremely helpful and wonderful to talk with so I grabbed her business card. I get the feeling she would be great to work with on a decorating project. I plan to visit again when I get ready to redecorate. BTW, our togas were a hit! So no matter your fabric needs, check out Midas.
