Michaels

Never a quick visit, always seems to be short on staff. But today was just incredible. It’s the holidays, so you expect things to be a little hectic. Had to search around for a bit to find the holiday treat boxes we wanted, but did locate some nice ones. Had a few other items and went to check out. About a dozen people in line already, four registers running, but only two of the lights were on. Sure enough, two of the associates were closing their registers, and people were being routed to the other two. The line I was in needed some kind of manager’s key to override a price, which took more than 5 minutes to find (not trying to exaggerate). Manager comes up front to do this, doesn’t bother to address the register situation. By the time we left there about 25 people waiting in 2 lines. Saw one lady just set her stuff down and leave. Who closes registers in the middle of a rush? Awful customer service. One lady who closed her register was walking back and forth stocking items having to cut between the lines of people. Boggles my mind. Avoid this place, especially in the evenings.

I LOVE Michaels, but this location’s customer service is lacking terribly and is very cramped compared to most other locations.

I am not a crafty person so when I walk into this store it’s a bilt overwhelming but in a good way. I want to go up and down every aisle to see what is available, on sale, on clearance because there is something for everyone here!
I recently visited because I needed some items for the craft segment of my daughter’s butterfly party. I liked the self adhesive eyes and gems that can be attached without the mess of glue. Michael’s had that. I also wanted to make a centerpiece for the refreshments table and was able to pick up some faux flowers. There was a wide selection to choose from !
I also signed up for email alerts and get coupons in my email and was able to use one during this visit.

Michael’s is like my #3 spot to shop as #1 is Jo-​Anns and #2 is Hobby Lobby. Great coupons, awesome customer service and clean bathrooms.

When I want to get my craft on I head to Michaels. Unfortunately, I suffer from analysis paralysis in craft stores (so many options, oh my!) and at times leave with nothing. Having said that, I find the staff at this Michaels to be really helpful in helping me figure out what I need. This appears to be a high volume store and on the weekends, it gets shopped, but I find the solid customer service and willingness to point me to an online coupon makes up for the age of the store and any chaos on the shelves.

This Michael’s needs a serious facelift. The shelves are unorganized and the whole place is a little grimy. However they do have a pretty good selection of cake making supplies and always have cake boards in stock. This Michaels always seem to be short on staff. Checkout takes awhile.

I had to visit Michael’s on Capital yesterday to look for some frames for a retirement party at work. Not only was the store dirty, but when I could not find what I was looking for, it was like pulling teeth to get a staff member to help me. Luckily, I can usually fend for myself and peruse through the items in the store and find what I want, but this was like a freaking scavenger hunt. It was ridic!
Next time, I will either look online to see if the store even carries what I want, or just avoid it all together. I’d rather pay more and have a good experience than walk into craft hell and have a bad one.

I’ve been to many Michael’s and this place was the worst of all of them. The art supplies were understocked Where they kept the water/​acrylic/​oil paints is very dirty. The staff was scarces.

For those needing crafts, art supplies, or perhaps nice frames, this is a great Michaels. Nothing above average about it, but it will suffice for your needs!

For the artistic, crafty or hobbyist, this is a decent place to get supplies. Not everything I would want is here, but for today’s trip, they had exactly what we needed for my daughter’s school project, and it wasn’t overpriced.
Typically easy to count on for basic craft needs and even for tips and classes.
