Having just done an eye exam at the facility next door, I came over here for new lenses and frames. In all of my previous eyewear experiences I have had to wait for days to get new glasses. Lenscrafters has the lab on premises and is able to have the new glasses ready in one hour. The employee working with me had been doing his job for many years, and I appreciated his experience and good customer service. My main concern was on the pricing. The employee plus signage in the store mentioned a 40% discount off the price, however there is no way to compare the prices. When I saw my itemized receipt after purchase I have to assume the 40% discount was truthful. There is to my knowledge not a printed price list to show full price of frames or lenses.

Check your bill before you leave the store! My husband and I went in to get new frames and lenses, using our flexible spending card. Service was fine during this process, but when it was time to turn in my receipts to the flexible spending account, I saw that we were each charged $ 34.99 for a «1 year eye care protection plan». This is NOT something that a flexible spending account covers, and if I had been asked if I wanted this service, I would have declined. However, I WASNOT asked. When I called the store manager to have these charges removed from my card, she took care of it. However, its now been a week and I still haven’t received a receipt verifying that this was done. Went in with my 2 sons(19 and 21 years old) as part of a trip around Raleigh to find just the right glasses for all of us to use to spend the rest of my HSA money on. We intended on only gathering information, but ended up: Getting my 19 year old a pair of prescription Oakleys Getting my 21 year old a pair of prescription Ray Bans Getting my 21 year old his eye exam for glasses and contacts Getting me a pair of prescription Maui Jims We walked out of there happy as can be and spent the rest of they day going other, more fun things, instead of looking for glasses. We will be back for all of our eyeglass needs. PS. I’ve gone to Lens Crafters only once before in Cary and got the insurance plan. I thought it was BS but figured what the heck, it was $ 35. I ended up using it within a month when one of our dogs ate my glasses(true story). Only cost me $ 25 deductable for a new pair on the spot. Totally paid for itself many times over already, so I do recommend it.

I went there today to get my glasses tightened. For months they had been falling off my face and for the year and a half that I have had them, they always rested on my face lopsided. A lady greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. I explained what I need and she went to work on the problem. She took time in tightening bending and fitting my glasses just right. Very satisfied!

I’ve never been to LensCrafters because I thought the service and selection of frames would be less than desirable compared to other private optometrists. I decided to take a chance yesterday because my dog ate my glasses and I needed some fast. I was amazingly surprised by my sales associate and the two other ladies in the store when I went there. I was even further impressed by the service I received when I picked up my glasses by a gentleman working in the store. They made me feel comfortable, helped me narrow my frame selection from a gazillion to 5 to 1. They took pictures to help me compare and made everything super smooth. They gave me a warranty, explained some kid packages they have for kids, etc. When I picked up my glasses, the gentleman adjusted them and cleaned them very nicely. He told me how to keep them in the best condition and what to do and not to do when cleaning them. He informed me of a buy 2 get 1 free on the cleaners since my whole family wears glasses with AR coating — this was very helpful as I always forget to get this stuff until I can’t see out of my glasses. He welcomed me to come back anytime for adjustments, etc. The staff here is fantastic, even walking me over to the optometrist to see if he took my insurance. I will go back here always due to the AMAZING service I received.

Terrible service. I’ve been there twice in the middle of the day during a work week both times. 1st to purchase glasses… was never acknowledged for 15 min. So, I took my business to Crabtree and couldn’t ask for better service. My 2nd and last chance, I was wanting to donate my old frames… again, never acknowledged while I stood at the reception desk for 20min. I ended up just leaving. I work in retail and I would have been fired for such behavior. Ridiculous!
