Free ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke. Leaves every 30 minutes. But you gotta get here early and get in line. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting for the next ferry. If you get stuck waiting, no problem. There’s a visitor’s center and a gift store to explore.
This ferry ride is just relaxing as you’ll have the NC breeze cleaning out your stressed smog-​filled lungs. Just chill out and enjoy the vast ocean for 40 minutes. Check out the endangered brown pelicans skydiving into the sea for food.
