I cannot say enough good things about my visit to Dr. Johnson for my root canal. I found him on the Delta Dental web site because I needed someone who would bill BOTH of my Delta Dental insurances. When I first called to inquire about their billing and insurance practices, Dr. Johnson answered the phone himself personally, which I was impressed with(he has a secretary/office manager who is also very nice and who I’ve reached on subsequent calls). I confirmed that they would bill both a primary and secondary insurance, and scheduled a consultation to determine if the root canal was truly necessary. When I arrived, the office was really nicely furnished and you could tell he takes a lot of pride in his practice. The x-ray machines were in these nice wooden cases on the wall that could be closed up when not in use. When I was seated and waiting for my consult, there were individual TVs suspended from the ceiling for each chair and I could change the channel to watch whatever I wanted during the wait(which was brief). Dr. Johnson himself is a fantastic endodontist. He takes the time to explain everything he’s doing, answered every question I had, and has a very calming demeanor. My favorite part of the visits(both the consultation and the root canal itself) was when he transferred the digital X-rays to the TV in front of the chair to point out all the details of what he would be doing and then subsequently did during the appointment. The numbing that he did during my actual root canal was great, and I felt very minimal discomfort. There was really calming music playing during my root canal that nearly put me to sleep, which is a testament to how painless the procedure itself was(and my lack of sleep the night before). Highly recommended on all fronts.
