Fantastic burgers! The Sam I Am was delicious with egg and ham on top of a flavorful patty. Polished it off with the Elvis shake for a banana and peanut butter desert. Great atmosphere and good service.

We can only rave about our burgers at Bad Daddy’s. The best we’ve had in a long time (and the sweet potato fries were also great)! We are willing to make the drive from GSO but found out that Winston-​Salem also has one and we’re excited to go!

I always like the food here. Even there chicken sandwich is tasty. I usually order a burger with a fried egg and bacon on it. They cook the egg correctly as the yoke is just barely liquefied but not too much. I order the burger medium and the egg over medium as well. Put some tots on the side and I’m happy!

One of the best burgers I have ever had! The best I had in North Carolina. You can’t go wrong with an ipa and tater tots.

This is a good burger place. I’m not sure if it classify it as a chain because there are only around twenty five locations. This competes with chucks as the best burger in Raleigh. This location, although some others do not, offers the Reuben burger with boars head meat. It is fantastic and extremely filling. Good luck trying to take that down with a full plate of tater tots and not feeling like you’re going to explode afterwards. The fried pickles are the best around and the homemade chips with onion dip and pimento cheese are good as well. The milkshakes are worth a try too. The servers are usually younger and on top of their game. I don’t think I’d venture too far from here, other than chucks, to get a burger. It is consistently delicious and very satisfying.

It’s simple… great food, great staff, affordable prices. Have passed by this restaurant many times and told myself that I needed to try it. Yesterday was the perfect opportunity and I am SO GLAD I did. I had the Pastrami Reuben Burger with the homemade house potato chips and it was outstanding! The staff are extremely professional and friendly. While our assigned server couldn’t quite get to us when we were seated, we were approached and helped by two other staff, so there wasn’t a lack in service whatsoever. The quality of the food was first rate and cooked to my exact request. With the selection that is offered on the menu, there really is something here for everyone… great appetizers, salads, chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes, and most of all BURGERS!

Got lunch here 6÷4÷2016 they had to redo it 3 times an still got it wrong I’m allergic to mayonnaise (highly) an requested my sandwich to be plain for this reason on the 3^rd try they still had my sandwich loaded with the potentially deadly sauce the owner Cove came over and did not say sorry or apologize for my inconvenience only that they had done my order 3 times as if it was my fault that they ruined my order multiple times. Avoid this place if you have food allergies or simply do not like certain items on your order because they will not listen to you when you place your order and for the owner to not at least knowledge that they made a mistake is truly poor customer service.

Bad Daddy’s is a great spot to sit outside on a nice day. I actually don’t think I’ve ever sat inside… We bring the pup most of the time. They have a decent sized patio area.
I also definitely recommend the burgers (duh.) and apps. The Sam I Am burger is definitely unique and a good combination. You get cheese, ham, pesto, and a fried egg on your burger. Also the queso with chips, wings, and fried pickles were all really good options for apps.
Their beer selection is also fairly good. They have a beer called the BD Amber that is only sold at Bad Daddy restaurants I guess. Not sure which brewery actually brews it though. The server didn’t know. This was my first time seeing/​ordering that. It wasn’t bad!

Im feeling full just writing this review. If you are in the mood for a giant burger made the way you requested, go here. It’s pretty good!

Our family has been blown away by the quality and freshness of food here! The burgers are creative and delicious, and there are options for non-​beef eaters. The veggie burger is made fresh in house and served with green chiles and avocado… so yummy.
My husband loves the tater tots and dipping sauce; the tots are nice and crispy and well-​seasoned. I always order the side salad… it is such an amazing option to be able to add a build-​your-​own salad for only a $ 2 up charge. You can pick up to 7 toppings for your salad… including bacon and avocado (which can sometimes be $ 2 additions just by themselves!)
Nicely curated draft beer list includes Wicked Weed, Oskar Blues, Trophy, Crank Arm to name a few…
They usually have a drink special as well. When we visited last, t was a Moscow Mule with pineapple juice and jalapeño… really good!

I’m rating it four of five stars because ALMOST everything is exceptionally good here. I’ve been here countless times and only had a few average (not bad) meals. It seems a little pricey for burgers when glancing at the menu, but the size and quality is absolutely worth it. They have messed up my order twice, but quickly corrected it or offered to correct it. Their tater tots are out of this world, and the create your own side salad option makes dinner interesting and fun. I live in Durham and ALWAYS take any visitors/​family that come to town to here for dinner. Definitely check it out! I’ll be back as often as possible until I leave the area :)

I am a burger freak and also one who doesn’t give out 5 stars unless it is truly earned.
The burger… I had the Bad A$$ Burger… was phenomenal. I also had the pimento cheese dip as a free appetizer when checking in on the Unilocal app. That dip is amazing! I had tots with my burger and they were on point. The Bad Daddys sauce comes with the tots and it is sooooo goooood. Everything was perfect, even my fountain coke! It had ice pellets in it, a rarity in fountain drinks nowadays and also under-​appreciated. The burger was perfectly done as medium-​well. I actually got a little pink in my burger! Every time I order medium-​well it always comes as well-​done. This one was perfection on cooking time. The service was near perfection, never did my drink run dry and never did I ask for a refill. Also, the server was just an all-​around cool guy who was attentive and nice.
Come with an appetite. This place BUSTED my gut and I wish it hadn’t…I couldn’t finish my whole burger! It was definitely worth the price. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Excellent burgers, friendly service. Good milkshakes and salads, too. Plenty of choices («build your own» burgers and salads). Good air conditioning (always appreciated), and a stereo that plays a reasonable variety of music (instead of being stuck on the usual inescapable 90s/​modern rock nightmare).
The other reviews don’t lie — it’s about as good as it gets in Raleigh for casual dining.

On our way to the airport to return to St. Petersburg, FL, we had enough time for lunch and pressed the magic Unilocal button for where to go.
We couldn’t be happier with our Big Daddy’s choice. The reviews of real foodies were true! We sat at the bar to avoid a wait. I asked what her favorite was and went with her suggestion of the Magic Mushroom burger. My husband did a ‘build your own’. WOW, wow, wow!!! Perfect medium rare on both and both blew us away. They serve a special spicy ketchup on the side that I aware they should bottle. It’s amazing!
The staff made us feel at home instantly. Food delivery was fast and hot and the owner even came over to ask our we liked because he’s heard we were from out of town. Very nice guy. He shared that it was a ruff start 3 ½ years ago, but yesterday they broke a milestone record in sales.
Congrats Big Daddy! It was more than worth a few miles out of our way. Make sure you put this place on your list.

First time being here and it was outstanding!!! Have fried pickle Spears and you could tell they were done by hand. Order the bacon on steroids with fried egg added and it was delicious and huge!!! Husband ordered the western burger and he, said it was good. Had Potato chips and tater tots has sides and they were really good especially the sauce for the tots. Had 2 kids meals one grilled cheese and one with 2 sliders which daughter ate both of and also both had sides of fruit which were a good size from what I have seen at other places. Will defiantly be going back when we visit Raleigh again. Also had one of their bad ass margaritas and it was pretty taste but weak to me.

I’ve been to Bad Daddy’s several times usually after a movie at the nearby IMAX theater. This is my favorite burger place. It’s usually crowded, because it’s good, but it’s worth a bit of waiting.
The bacon cheese burger on steroids is my favorite although my friends have tried many other burgers and have always been satisfied. There is so much bacon that’s it’s ridiculous. Cut it in half before tackling it. The sweet potato fries are very good but there is something about their tater tots that you cannot just eat just one. I steal them off a friends plate, while I enjoy my sweet potato fries.
They also make a great margarita.

The burgers are great. The salads are great. I love the food, but we can only patronize this place during the summer, when we can sit outside. The restaurant is *ridiculously* loud. Immensely loud. Loud beyond what you think is possibly conceivable. The owner keeps the music blasting, and the dining room is all hard surfaces and windows and overhead plumbing/​piping. You can’t have a conversation without screaming at your companions. You don’t calmly order, it’s more shouting and gesturing and hoping you’ve been understood.
What’s more, the place is rather unkind to women. The men’s room is full of soft-​core pornography photos on the walls (and no artwork of any kind in the women’s room). Totally not cool. The owner is rather a toolbag too, and copped a major ‘tude when we asked him to turn the music down.
Anyhow, we’re liking Cowfish burger now, they have a heated outdoor patio area and will graciously turn the music OFF if we ask (not even down, but completely off! It’s so refreshing!). I don’t really see us returning to Bad Daddy’s anymore. Which is a shame because it’s really close to my girlfriend’s place. But we like having conversations and I like not having porn shoved in my face when I’m trying to take a leak. So Cowfish it is!

I LOVE Bad Daddy’s! They have coke products and crushed ice! What more does one need? Their burgers never disappoint but I really love the black bean burger the best. It’s topped with green chilis and avocado. Their sweet potato fries are the best I’ve had! They serve them with a really weird mustard dipping sauce so make sure you ask for the sauce they used to serve it with which is like a chipotle ranch. Their staff is super nice too. I’ve been to Bad Daddy’s many many times and I’ve always received excellent service.

Went on Jan 5^th around 2pm to celebrate my friends birthday! It was a REALLY cold day and not busy so perfect timing! Great parking! They don’t do a birthday song or dessert (sad) but I did check in an we won a free appetizer — the potato chips and homemade pimento cheese. Neither of us liked pimento cheese but we were WON over. DELICIOUS and the homemade chips are amazing. Took some home and stayed fresh and crunchy for days!!! And the BURGERS — the best ever. Service was excellent and again I am so impressed! My number one burger joint!!! I keep getting the Badd A## Burger and forget it is huge. Had to take it home again… so please remind me to get a SMALLER burger — Really… lol

I’ve waited a long time to come here and I was not disappointed. Service was on point (thanks to Andrew) and the food was phenomenal. A little pricey for burgers and tater tots, but if every experience is as good as this one, it might be worth a few visits a year.

Just finished our meal. Wish we lived locally. This is very good quality. You can build your own burger or choose from selection. We were completely satisfied. Fresh fruit as side was pleasant surprise. House made chips a little salty but would get again. Tater tots huge portion. Truffle fries hit with good seasoning. The burgers cooked perfectly to order. My daughter keeps saying that burger was the bomb. Definitely come here! Oh, and great service.

It’s not the best burger in town, but I’d definitely put it as one of the top 5. I’ve started getting the pittsburger every time I go, and I’m never disappointed. Pretty good beer selection and cute outdoor seating area. All that and within walking distance from the house make it a winner.

Busy, loud, chaotic, and DELICIOUS! Some of the best burgers around and very customizable, from your sandwich to the sides (build your own salad is an option). They have great tolerance for toddlers :) With a great local beer selection, there’s something to make everyone happy!

I’m catching up on my reviews. The burger I had was quite delicious. It was justa regular cheeseburger, nothinf fancy. Just a tip, Bad Daddy’s slightly under cooks their burgers, so if you want a medium temp then order a medium well. Our server told me this bit of info and he was spot on. The medium well temp was a true medium with a bit of pink in the middle. I’m glad he told me this info because their «medium» would’ve been too rare for me. Their sweet potato fries are also very delicious and they are served with honey mustard that had are bit of a kick.

It is very simple.
Not only it is the best place to get a burger in Raleigh, but it is one of the best place to get food, period. You can choose from an array of burgers or make your own, from basic to fancy. There is a choice of meats, bun, salad, drinks, sides, you name it.
All of these is nice but really it does not matter… The beef patty does the talking: get it medium rare, it is tender, juicy and it has an incredible beefy flavor. The french or sweet potato fries are delicious and I can’t get enough of the bad daddy’s sauce.
The service is usually impeccable and the patio very enjoyable when the weather allows.

Definitely some of the best burgers you can get in Raleigh! Compared to other places in town, these burgers will definitely fill you up. They are not fooling around with tiny patties here! Their customization is awesome with a variety of cheese, toppings, and patty options including beef, bison, turkey, chicken, and black bean.
You need to get their buttermilk fried bacon while there… it sounds a little disgusting, but they taste amazing! Besides the fried bacon, their sweet potato fries paired with a homemade mustard sauce were on of my favorite things.
Parking can be troublesome due to all the businesses around that use that parking lot, but it is definitely worth it. It’s best to go early in the day because they do get really busy quickly.

This review is way overdue but I loved the food here. A friend and i decided to grab lunch here and since the weather was beautiful we sat outside. We were immediately greeted by our waiter and I ask for a few suggestions. There was so much to choose from on the menu, I decided to go with the waiter’s recommendation of the bad daddy burger with sweet potato fries. Service from the hostess to the waiter was excellent.
OMG that burger was HUGE! It was so big I couldn’t even bite into it. This is not a complaint just a warning that you will get more than you expect here. The burger was cooked to perfection (medium the way i love it) and the bun wasn’t soaked with meat grease (like some other burger places). Also they gave you a full helping of sweet potato fries.
I did take half of the burger home – I was full after the first half. The other great thing about this place are the prices. It is so reasonably priced for a great burger. I will definitely go there again but I think I need to starve myself the entire day first so I can finish my meal :-)

Great food and great service, and burgers made to order. What more can you ask?!
We started with the house-​made chips with pimento cheese and the fried pickles with ranch. Both were excellent. Many places that I’ve had fried pickles are overly salty; these were perfectly done with a light batter.
For the main event we had:
— The BAD ASS BURGER: a 10 oz patty, lettuce, tomato, buttermilk fried bacon, horseradish mayo, with cheese. You definitely need a big mouth for this monster; juicy and delicious.
— The BACON CHEESEBURGER ON STEROIDS: bacon salt, jalapeño bacon, applewood bacon, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Awesome bacon-​y goodness… Yum!
— The CLASSIC SOUTHERN BURGER: chili, American cheese, sweet relish, mustard, slaw, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. This would not have been my choice, but the review from the table was positive. I am not a fan of sweet relish or Bad Daddy’s slaw.
Overall a great meal. Some of the best burgers I’ve had.

Before coming here, my favorite burger in the triangle was Burger Fi. But tonight, my taste buds have a new winner: this place. Some would argue that I didn’t have a legit burger (ah-​hem my better half) but I had the Frenchie: a turkey burger topped with melted Brie, Apple smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, onions, sliced Granny Smith apples with some honey dijon sauce. One word: Mind Blown. I am pretty sure I died when I took that first bite.
On top of that, our waitress, Maria, was as sweet as could be, refilled our drinks with impeccable timing and overall made sure we were taken care of even though they were crazy busy.
I’m so happy with my experience. I’ll be back!

From tuna burgers to classics and salads too, there is something for everyone at Bad Daddys. I ordered the badass burger, and was shocked at the monstrous size of the burger that was topped with fried bacon. Although it was very good, I couldn’t appreciate the burger patty itself because there was too much going on, but that’s perhaps a matter of personal preference. The boy ordered the pittsburger, which was super yummy, but again not mind blowing. Service was definitely five stars and I appreciated the decent selection of draft beers. We will return again to Bad daddy’s in the future.

Delicious food and excellent service is always a winning combination and you’ll definitely get that at Bad Daddy’s. I came for Saturday dinner just starving for a nice juicy burger and that is exactly what I got! It didn’t look like it from the outside, and from the ample parking available, but it was packed! There was a bit of a wait if we wanted the nice A/​C indoors, but we opted for patio seating for immediate seating. Our server came over immediately and was super personable and friendly. We explained it was our first time and she took time to explain the burgers and how we could order it.
We got the Housemade Chips and Pimento Cheese Dip from the checkin offer on Unilocal and they were so delicious! Just the right crispy crunch and saltiness that paired wonderfully with the cheese. The rest of our food came out surprisingly quickly based on how crowded the place was. We weren’t even hungry anymore at this point, as the chips appetizer was so large and filling. However, we had to make some room for the burgers! I ordered the Sam I Am Burger (A basic burger topped with American cheese, over easy fried egg, rosemary ham, and pesto) and added onion straws to it. I chose tater tots as my side with the chipotle sauce and was also given an extra Bad Daddy’s sauce.
At this point, I was regretting how many chips I had eaten, because the portions were huge! It looked like they had just piled as many onion straws on top of the burger as possible, then sprinkled some extra on the plate. I ended up finishing the entire burger, but only had enough room for 2 tater tots. The burger was definitely flavorful and juicy. It was extremely messy as I had oily burger juice and egg yolk running down my hand the entire time. The only thing I wasn’t too thrilled about was just how oily the burger was. It was sitting in a pool of oil, and when I grabbed and tilted the burger, oil was just dripping down. Nonetheless, it was delicious and cooked at the perfect temperature I had asked for. I enjoyed the tater tots, but wish I had a little room for more. The Bad Daddy sauce was interesting, with a spicy BBQ taste.
Overall, Bad Daddy’s is definitely worth another try… maybe I’ll try a more adventurous burger next time!

Gotta give these guys credit for going above and beyond the call when it comes to casual dining. It’s a fun scene full of interesting choices and lots of them to recommend. What Burger King and McDonalds have taken away from burgers, Bad Daddy is feverishly trying to replace.
Last time I was there, I was seated by a half-​hearted hostess in über tight jeans who looked like she badly wanted to be somewhere else. My server Mindy took up her slack by being cheery and witty, not to mention good-​looking. I had the All American — a basic burger topped with House Made Mustard, Ketchup, pickles, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun without cheese for $ 10.25. It came with fries and a side of Bad Daddy sauce to dip them in. It was all fantastic.
They’ve got a nice outside eating area, covered for an elemental surprise attack, and a full bar. Pretty much anywhere you sit, you’ve got a television in view. If it had a few more boob tubes in it, Bad Daddy could be a sports bar. But I have a feeling they’re not trying to project that kind of image.
When it comes to desserts, they totally lose. I think they offered a milkshake and some other boring thing. Don’t remember. But I do remember the service and the good-​looking women giving it. With their extra tight shirts and some of them sporting short shorts during one of my visits, somebody could pick up a Hooters impression if they’re not discerning. Not that I mind that much.
Speaking of eye candy, I grew jealous spying the entrees of my fellow customers. My order was tame compared to what some people were having. The nachos look incredible! Also, they have a gluten free menu for hipsters and yuppies who claim to have an allergy. (relax, I’m kidding :) And you can’t beat the Create Your Own options from burgers to salads. There’s tons I want to try here at Bad Daddy, and that means I’ll have to visit a lot more often.

A forgettable burger, yet this place has managed to leave me with a lot of interest.
I decided to try this place out with a group of friends from out of town. I was excited to see that they offered free Chips & Pimento Cheese Dip for checking in. Now lemme tell ya, these were some dope ass chips. The waitress told me they were made in-​house which was impressive. The dip was very, very good as well.
For my entreé, I ordered the Cantina Burger with Tots. I’ve had a better burger and better tots, but they weren’t bad either. Actually, they were fairly solid. What separated this burger spot from others was their huge choice of condiments/​sauces (10 to be exact). I honestly remember the sauces more than the burger itself — go figure. They also offered one of the more extensive list of ingredients in terms of customizing your own burger.
I’ll swing by Bad Daddy’s eventually, with an eagerness for their sauces and a second chance for their burgers.

Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is a relatively small chain with locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado. Don’t let the downtown location scare you — there is plenty of free parking that isn’t miles away. Bad Daddy’s features all of your vegan favorites, including… yeah, you know what they serve here.
I’ve tried several of their burgers and they’re all great. While other restaurants get away with serving you a buffalo/​mystery meat blend, Bad Daddy’s Western Burger is all bison. The Surf’s Up Tuna Burger should satisfy the hippies among us and within us. My favorite out of all of the burgers is the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids.
There’s nothing too crazy about the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids. It’s a basic burger seasoned with bacon salt, 3 pieces of jalapeño bacon, 3 pieces of applewood smoked bacon, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, housemade bacon mayo, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onion & pickles served on a bun. All ingredients are very high quality and flavorful, from top bun to bottom bun.
I’ve tried a lot of burgers, and I can safely say that the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids is my favorite burger in the Triangle area. Those with super sensitive taste buds, i.e. prefer blander things, may find that this burger packs too much punch. Others will love it as much as I do.
The sides/​appetizers at Bad Daddy’s are equally formidable. From their regular shoestring fries to their fried pickles, all meal complements match the burgers in terms of quality. Be sure to try the Bad Daddy’s sauce — it works perfectly on any side or burger.
Root beer available as a fountain drink? Root beer available as a fountain drink. This fact alone makes any place that much more awesome. There are also many awesome beers to try, including local breweries, but I refuse to accept that I’m not a little kid.
A Bad Daddy is better than a Fat Daddy. While Raleigh lost an icon, the other daddy serves better burgers and is here to stay. Come to Bad Daddy’s for a great burger, fries, and beer.

I still can’t say enough about this burger bar! I have not only fallen in lurve with the burgers, but I have finally found a place that the salad has a perfect bite every time. Come on salad lovers you know what I’m saying!!! Every fork full has a lot of fillings and little fluff. The fluff being the green stuff.
Bad Daddy’s is the bigger and better burger joint. Amazing burgers, sides, craft beer and shakes. The most amazing part is the gracious co owner Cov that not only messaged me to tell me appreciates my patronage via Unilocal,but I got to meet him as he was making rounds at every single table. Not just the usually small talk, but genuine conversation with his customers!
