Abc Bartending School

We had a LivingSocial coupon for a 4 hour mixology class. Now my expectations may have been way too high — but I was expecting to learn about mixing drinks, what goes with what etc.
What we got instead was about two hours of working through a booklet that talked about all the spirits in an American Bar and some of the cocktails to make with said spirits. Not only has my bartending book much more detail and more cocktail recipes — but the little booklet was so full with mistakes (grammer, spelling, etc.) and inaccuracies that it was hard to take seriously.
And when the teacher started talking about single malt whiskeys — how they are made with just one kind of malt and blended whiskeys are made with more kinds of malt — I was about to walk out.
This may be an easy way to get a Bartending certificate by taking the longer course — but just for mixing drinks it was a complete waste of time. :-(
