I used to come here all the time and back at their original location. Only reason I still come here to fulfill my craving is because it’s the closest one around. The pricing is pretty wonky here They definitely changed management. The staff aren’t that attentive and the service takes forever. Either hire more people or better people. The waitress I used to have from the original location and at this location for a few months was amazing, she was always quick, friendly, and remembered you as a loyal customer. The waitresses now, not so much. The tables barely seem like they get cleaned. Just to get some glasses of water takes forever. The meat server does take a little longer, but what can you do when he’s the only one. He’s great about giving another piece if asked. We even ask for specific meats if he hasn’t brought it out. The food is okay, some of the meats are cooked perfect while other may seem to be overcooked and dry. For the last few times, I’ve gone I wanted the short ribs and they haven’t had it. Otherwise the short ribs are really good. So are the chicken wings, brisket, pork, sirloin, garlic bread and the pineapple.

This Brazilian steakhouse is dirty house. The food stays exposed to the environment to long. The greens are not fresh, and when I order a orange juice a mosquito came as part of the combo Also for a steakhouse I expected them to have good steak of at least a respectful amount of choices, but it was not the reality. They didn’t have the good cuts of meat. I recommendation is you better off ordering Chinese

Stopped on a whim with my daughter. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Food was fresh and good. Not the best I’ve ever had as steakhouses go but better than most. Well worth the stop!

The first time we went to Spettus I would have given it a 2 but my son his girl and I actually tried it again. This second time surprised me. The salad bar has everything from mashed potatoes to various types of meat. You can order just the salad bar and walk away happy and stuffed as its all you can eat. For a couple more dollars you can have servers come to your table with meat they cut off skewers. The meat includes things like chicken wings to prime rib and it is also all you can eat. I can honestly say we were very happy this time around. The only reason I gave Spettus a 4 instead of a 5 is because I love salad and their salad bar was so filled with meat and veggies they lacked in actually salad fixings. Spettus also has homemade deserts that looked incredible but our bellies were so full none of us could even think of desert

The food was awful!!! The service was slow as hell!!! They keep circulating the same 3meats over and over again. the waitress came to our table only once, we got so tired of waiting so long we went and got our check. The food is terrible not worth the $ 21 they charge you at all. Save your cash and don’t bother since they moved it’s new worker’s and Cook’s and its definitely not worth it .it’s such a shame Rio’s(now spettus) was my favorite restaurant!

Idk if it was the time of day(8pm) it the day(sunday) but I think this is the last time we will go here. At the old location the sides were hot and fresh and the meat came out fast and often. Here the sides was cold and stail. The salad was the only fresh thing in the side dish bar. The whole wait staff need a inservice on customer service. I guess since I wasn’t buying the over prices no refill $ 212oz soda warm water was our only choice with a 1 glass per visit minimum. The meat was either over cooked or undercooked. It went from bacon wrapped chicken breast to just dry chicken. The pork sausage was done right but The chicken sausage was dry and bland. The server only came out with 2 other meats and some roasted pineapple which I most say was the best thing serviced and was never seen again. We waited for other choices but when we saw the server again he was bussing tables. We’ve been to Brazilian restaurant all over the world and I most say this one have to be a last option on our list of places to go to when in the area. I would’ve gave this place a ½ of star but the roasted pineapple was really good other than that I should have just went to a seafood restaurant and are some fresh seafood.

Was undecided 3 or 4 stars, first time, we have gone to others, my son was starving and wanted buffet, PRO: salad bar was fresh, meat was tasty, very salty, but tasty, beef was so tender, waitress and meat server very friendly, was a little thrown off that at 6pm we were the only table, price was right ! CON no liquor license, really wanted a cold beer to wash down all that yummy meat! Atmosphere was blahhhh, Brazilian people are so full of life, was expecting more, but I fed myself and two kids for $ 43, parking was great, wish is was a little more lively ! But will return

I would give this restaurant 5 stars if it weren’t for the excessive pricing on children’s plates. We are regulars at this restaurant, started going when it was on Washington Street; when our child was under 3 years old. The last two times we’ve gone, however, we’ve been charged the $ 8.99 child buffet plate even though he barely eats anything and we give him food from our plate. We love the food here, and the service is great, BUT, we can’t rationalize paying so much for a 5 year old who doesn’t eat $ 9.00 worth of food. I wish there was a separate, much lower fee for children who reasonably can’t eat this much(like 6 years and under, or something like that). If you are up for a lot of food, and won’t have little children to pay for, we definitely recommend this restaurant.

The worst service I have experienced in a while! Food was about a 2, possibly pushing 3 stars worth, but since the waitress never came once to our table to refill our drinks and the meat service was painfully slow, I can’t give this place more than a single star. Would definitely not recommend.

I’d like to like this place better. The buffet of side dishes is often quite good, with lots of variety, and the service, though low key, is friendly. But unfortunately the barbecued beef is always very dry, often overcooked, difficult even to chew, and sometimes almost inedible. The pork sausage is pretty good; I haven’t tried the chicken. The poorly prepared BBQ beef was always a problem at their former location, and I’d hoped they’d improve after their move. But it hasn’t changed, even as several churrascaria chefs have come and gone. I don’t understand it. Either they don’t realize or can’t find a more skilled chef. If you stick to the buffet and pork sausage I can recommend this place. But if a churrascaria can’t serve great beef it’s hard to justify more than two stars, unfortunately. I hope they find a way to fix this, since Quincy lost its only other Brazilian place and as far as I know you have to go to East Boston, Norwood, or Avon now to get the real thing(I haven’t tried the one in Braintree).

Took my mother to dinner here. We both had tried it when they first opened and thought it was mediocre but figured we’d give it another shot. So here goes: We arrived set 3:57 on a Monday evening to which we noted the large sign out front boasting of a M-F deal from open until 5pm for $ 9.99, BBQ meat an additional 4.99 etc. upon walking in, one waitress was sitting down eating a bowl of soup and disregarded us but then popped a single finger up meaning wait. In tumbles our waitress, disheveled and looking like we ruined her day by arriving. She sat us down and said«so whatchoo want to do?», to which we both responded«we’d like to eat». I always assume that’s why one goes to a restaurant, guess I shouldn’t assume! We started to tell her we’d do one buffet with meat and one without and my mother inquired the pricing to which she doubled it. $ 19.99 for buffet, $ 14.99 without meat. She then inquired about the special and the waitress said«oh dats just for lunch». We pointed out it stated until 5 and she argued the point with us, though it was still prior to 4. The big sign outside states different, bait and switches of the worst kind. We then expressed displeasure at her rudeness and she said«whatever». This place will factually be out of business in a year, ps I’m a chef and your food isn’t being held properly either. This place is dog shit, plain and simple.

I really liked it. Their prices are relatively low to other Brazilian restaurants. For what you pay here for Brazilian food, it’s really great comparing to the variety you get.

Usually we go to a different place but Siri and Unilocal recommended this place. The food was great. Very fresh off the buffet. Reasonable price. The fresh juice definitely adds to freshness. Ask for the pineapple… delicious!!! My only complaint was no liquor license as of today.

Really love this place. The food is fantastic. Sorry the price has kept climbing but it’s still worth it for myself and my culinary affiliates. Top sirloin is grand, and while I am mostly living la vida low carb, the pineapple and the garlic bread are just delectable.

Spettus Steak House is a short drive down Independance Ave. away from I-93. While I spotted street parking right out front across the street, I decided to drive by to see if perchance they had any private parking of their own. And yes, they had a lot out back! They were nearly empty when I walked in at 6:30pm one Sunday evening, so I basically had my choice of tables — booths around the buffet on the left, and tables/chairs to the right. Once we were comfortably situated, we were given an orienting spiel where we were offered the choice of the buffet bar only for $ 14.99, or the buffet and all the meat we could eat for $ 19.99. We went for the pigging out option, helped ourselves to the buffet, and sat back down to wait for the meat parade. And wait we did. It was a while before they realized that maybe they should start sending the meat out to us. And then it was just a single Passador all meal long, coming back each time with another choice of pretty well cooked meat. Well cooked meaning well done. Unfortunately, the biggest meat eater of our table was more of a medium rare fellow. We were already approaching full by the time I decided to give communication a chance and asked the Passador for something more in the line of medium. And thus we were presented with a stick with meat less dark and crusty without — and within, we found it was pink leaking reddish juices, yes! We sampled a variety of meats, with several repeats, including boneless chicken, marinated chicken wings, chicken hearts, pork sausage, sirloin, garlic beef, marinated lamb, and, to finish, grilled cinnamon sugar pineapple. Best was the sweet and juicy pineapple seeing as most of the meats were a bit overcooked for my taste. Then shortly before our departure, I spied a skewer stuck with twin pale orbs floating by the far end of the room which a DC identified as their garlic bread — so sad, as I had no more room in my tummy! On this visit I was satisfied with their basic buffet with options both hot and cold, sweet and savory, and less so of the meat upgrade. Labels for the different offerings would have been appreciated, but most items were easily generically identifiable. Service was pleasant though it was a little tough to catch someone’s attention of at times. And the booth seating was a bit thin so each time the gentleman behind us leaned back in satisfaction, my back was uncomfortably pressed in at. Their dessert menu as printed on the placemat, however, intrigues me. Though I did not have any room for more than a 2nd small slice of the grilled pineapple and a few sweet chunks of honeydew from the buffet to end my meal this time, I would be up for coming back to try their desserts in the future. Since they close at 9pm most nights and at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, it might prove difficult for my schedule, but we’ll see! Pricing(buffet only/buffet plus meat): Dinner $ 14.99/$ 19.99 Lunch $ 14.99/$ 16.99 Take-out(by the pound) $ 5.95/$ 6.95

Decided to try after buying a groupon. It was honestly the best experience I’ve had out to eat in a very long time. The wait staff was incredible. Our waitress was nothing short of lovely, very polite and really wanted to make our experience wonderful. She alone would make me come back. When we started the Buffett I was still nervous being my first time at Brazilian steakhouse but it was all so good. Then the meat came. Not only was the meat amazing, the«meat runner» was so polite and very helpful. The chicken wrapped in bacon was my favorite but others in the group also enjoyed the garlic steak. Make sure to save room for the roasted pineapple in cinnamon and sugar because it really is heavenly. We were delighted to be offered a complimentary dessert. I split a passion fruit pudding with another in my party and it was the most amazing thing I’ve tasted. I am not a dessert person, a pudding person or a fruit person, but honestly highly recommended and AMAZING. All in all, the staff, the food and the atmosphere was such a treat. Highly recommended and I will be coming back again.

I have been a customer for awhile now and went to the new location tonight. I was not disappointed. The space is great — salad bar was clean, fresh and offered a great variety. The rodizio or carved meats were excellent. My personal favorites are the chicken wrapped in bacon, garlic rolls and pineapple. The servers are super nice and very attentive. The one thing I wish they would post is that tips are not shared. The guys who walk around and actually carve and serve the meats have their own tip jar over near the rotisseries. I always split my tip — leave have for the waitress and half for the meat servers.
